Our Argos delivery arrived a few minutes ago.
I have a programme to watch and hubby has a film to watch, on the old recorder.
So, it will probably be tomorrow when we put the new one in.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

When I'm feeling a little stronger I plan to get all the baby things from the loft to take to Charity. There's a Save the Children shop in the village so it will all go there. Youngest GC will be 1 in Feb, (that went quickly) & there's no more future GC now.

Enfys I'm interested to know what you do at your art class. I wish I could pluck up the courage to go to one.

            They look very nice Oma.

Nana, in the past I’ve been to different art classes where there’s been tuition and have learnt so much. This art group that I go to now is just a group of us that do our own thing, there is no instruction although we do help each other out sometimes. We are all doing various things, ...watercolour, pencil drawing, pastels, etc. An elderly lady who sits near me is even doing colouring in. She says she is useless at art but loves the chat and company. If there are any classes or groups near you do have a go, I’m sure you would love it.

My eye was extremely painful Daisy but now it is just a bit sore. Got up quite late for me this morning (8.15) and had porridge and juice. We decided to go to the Homebase about four miles Way which is not a Homebase anymore but something like Brannings but I think it is something similar, apparently they are an Australian Company and they have bought Homebase out. We were told they were opening in November but they most certainly were not open today so I had to drive an extra six miles to the nearest functioning Homebase where we bought some diy stuff for him, got paint cards for the bedroom (pale lemon), looked at colours for little room and bought over the door hangers as I don’t want to put holes in the new doors. Came home and ate a tub of pomegranate seeds followed by coffee cake and then fell asleep!

We are recycling the curtains from the sitting room for the little room as they are in good condition and were expensive plus we have matching s of course limits our colour choice in there. They are cream and deep red. Husband picked a colour and I had to point out to him that it is the same colour that is there now which is only one shade different to the colour it was before years ago.

I looked on in my work email (I know naughty me) and very unusually there was a corporate communication sent out this afternoon from my company about the state of the company or rather not really saying anything about the state of the company more telling us not to take any notice of this weekends news reports which, of course, made me have a look. It is a bit worrying.

It is very dark outside now which I hate so I am snuggled in my wrap and microfibre blanket with my feet up. It is not cold in here at all I just like the snuggling bit.

Your alterations are coming along Zizi, I thought your OH was colour blind?

He is colour blind Plant, it is darker colours he has problems with more than anything. He cannot see red on a green background or vice versa, he also often mistakes dark cream for pink and that is why he did not recognise that the colour he picked is so similar to the present one. He often doesn’t recognise different shades of the same colour. He also mistakes brown and green. I am used to it now and don’t even bother to mention it, I just tell him I prefer a different colour and get my own way............

Yes the work is coming along nicely now. Wardrobe delivery 22nd, fitting 23rd, flooring 25th (just in case wardrobe fitting doesn’t end on time) decorating 26th. So we will be camping for at least five nights which I am not looking forward to but at least once it is done it will be finished with. We will the. Give ourselves a couple of weeks before doing the spare room and getting the hall and stairs painted. Once that is done we will have the carpets professionally cleaned and that will be that. Hopefully by end of February the whole place will be transformed.

It all looks lovely and fresh Oma. My rooms seem to be full of "stuff".Though we have 5 bedrooms two of them still have a lot of DSs things in them as they both only have small flats with no storage space. There is no room in our loft for them either.

Wow, what a busy lot you are. Nothing like the smell of paint, fresh linen & new carpet.

Enfys, yrs ago I gave art classes to a local M.I.N.D. group. A few used to enjoy the colouring in & chatting. Others were, let's say 'more creative'. Not sure if I'd prefer ceramic classes. I've never managed to throw a pot on the wheel yet.

Nana, I had no idea you’d done that, so you’re more expert than me 😃. Some of our ladies are really good, I’m just trying hard but I really enjoy it. It’s ages since I did any drawing or painting so still playing around to get my hand and eye in again.

Q I will do photos when the bedroom is finished. At the moment both bedrooms have such a lot of stuff in them as we have unloaded the loft to get some bits we needed and are going to get the charity shop to collect, we cannot leave it outside because of the weather and they didn’t turn up when they said they would so we are a bit stuck! Still all will be well soon.

I'm exhausted reading today's Chat! Everyones so busy.

Nana - I haven't been to Art classes for about 40 years, but I'd start again if I could find a class to fit in with my various commitments. I doodle around on my own, but I need instruction and direction, and someone to quell the ideas which are way beyond my ability! What I would really like to do is develop ideas using different media - I have some wood I want to shape into abstract sculptures and incorporate some sort of art work. Do pluck up courage to join a group - you are a very talented lady and the only difficult class would be the first one.

I'll put some pics of Cooper on his thread.

Clover - our house is full of stuff, too!

Oma - your bedrooms look fantastic - so fresh and clean-looking.

Qwerty - we won't know ourselves in September when the twins and my GD2 all start school - GD will be nearly 5!

Enfys - I hope your GD sends you lots of pictures and videos of her Australian adventures. If you're enjoying your Art group, that's the most important thing.

Zizi - I'm glad your eye isn't so sore, but you're very naughty looking at work emails!

Plant - it makes sense to organise it so you can have your sewing machine out all the time. I'm also looking for a small table for our summerhouse so I can do pyrography etc there. The one there at the moment is wobbly and the melamine surface has lifted so it's not even any more!
