My OH used to do that but I could always locate him in the wine aisle I have a BMW and although I haven't tested it I gather they are not good on snow or ice. that is the only reason I would think of changing it.

Oma I try phoning him in the supermarket only to discover most of the time either his mobile phone has become completely immobile and is on the side in the kitchen of our flat or the phone has been completely ignored “oh I didn’t hear the phone ring”.............
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
Fnfys hope your OH gets his pressure in his legs sorted ASAP , poor man, if its not one thing, its another.
I agree my OH is always disappearing when we are shopping. Why can't they stay put. I only have to stop for a fraction and he is off, out of sight . I have wonder if it is possible to buy reins in adult size . My eldest had a pair I used for him when I was pushing his baby brother in his pram. They were from Woolworths , pale blue with a rabbit on the front. I think OH would look quite good in them and I would know where he is at all times.
We weren't long at the hospital this morning. we went with the expectation of seeing a dr at least but they wanted another scan done first . DS won't get the results back till after Christmas .
When I eventually got home from shopping with DS , I mentioned to OH that my feet were aching and I said ..... ( Now in my head , what I was saying was, I can't wonder around town shopping as it makes my feet ache.) What came out of my mouth was...
. " It's no good, I can't walk the streets like I used to "
It means a whole different thing doesn't it
Just been catching up as I have only just found the time to check in.This morning I was out at my cleaning.Brass cleaning day there as well today. They have about 10 bits and bobs of various shapes and sizes. I usually do the awkward ones first and work through to the easier ones
Then it was home for a quick lunch before finally the engineer came to fix my oven. Then I made a sultana sponge for pud. tonight.
You ladies all seem to have had a busy day.
Enfys sorry to hear of another potential problem for OH. I hope it turns out to be a minor issue, though worrying all the same.
Enfys I used to wake up thinking what will be the problem today , it all seems to come together doesn't it , At least he didn't wait to go to Drs and he will get it sorted quickly I hope xx
Yes, Oma. It only started since he had the heart attack that’s why we thought it was to do with his medication. You know exactly how I feel, bless you xx

Hope they get to the bottom of your OH's problem Enfys
I was in JL this afternoon and there was a small queue to go in the restaurant, a lady was standing near the door and I gestured to her to go before me and she replied I am waiting for my husband, I suppose he will turn up eventually. I bought a nightie, GD bought pyjamas and socks and then we went to Waitrose and did my food shopping. Must go GD has just made me a G&T

I've never had a BMW, but I definitely didn't like driving OH's Accord in icy weather - that was an automatic, and I just didn't feel in control on slippy surfaces.
Enfys - oh, your poor OH. I do hope it's not serious and it can be treated easily. Have you got a date for the pressure test?
Zizi - it's a man thing, not listening! Also getting lost in any shop of any size. I often have to phone my OH in the supermarket - that's if he's remembered to switch the darn thing on.
Clover - my mum used to make sultana sponges - with custard. I haven't had one for years. What do you use to clean brass with? Is it that wadding stuff in a tin or is there a better easier product these days?
Mimi!!! Hahaha.
Plant - I bet that poor lady is still there waiting for her OH!
Lunch was very nice, but the speeches went on for ever. They do the speeches first so you can't escape! There were people at our table so hungry they were about to eat their napkins! We ate far too much. OH had turkey with all the trimmings for his main course, and his plate was piled high! I never want turkey until Christmas Day, so I had fish for my main course and that was good too. We got there fairly early and sat in the bar having a coffee, looking out onto the solent, and it was a lovely sunny day - you could almost imagine it was the height of summer with blue sky and blue sea. We didn't have time for a walk on the cliff top and it took us ages to get home - I think the country is becoming gridlocked with traffic!

Enfys, try not to worry about this. Put in in that 'box' for another time. There is only so much we can cope with at a time.
At least Qwerty didnt arrive back yesterday, to all that snow!
I hope you enjoyed your G&T with GD, Plant.
I will write about my day in my Journal.
