Mimi, sorry to hear the family have got the flu.

Rained a bit this morning, but has sunshine most of the day.

All shopping put away now.Stocked up at the butchers, and it is all in thefreezers now.

Forgot to say, i put one of the cards on the notice board in Wilko's, and another on the notice board in the new market.

That reminded me Nanto I put a card on Wilko’s board too.It looked very professional against some of the other rather tatty contributions.

Clover - what an awful worry for your sister. Yes, definitely taxis - she'll be under enough strain without coping with complicated public transport systems. You must feel very frustrated that you ca't be with her, but just knowing you are at the end of the phone will be a comfort for her. I do hope your BIL is ok - sending you (and them) prayers and positive vibes for his recovery. xxx

LG - it's nice to have someone to chat with on a long journey.

Gem - glad you kept well wrapped up while you were out - this weather is dreadful.

Plant - I'm glad you had such a lovely time. I bet there were some real pearls of wisdom to the bride and groom.

Zizi - what a fiasco with the redundancy pay and JSA. It's such a wind up at a time when you really need things to run smoothly. Best of luck for the interview on Tuesday - good idea to do a dry run first.

Mimi - that picture could have been taken in our garden today! Your poor DS and family. I hope he's well enough to look after the others.

Nanto and Clover - thank you for putting the cards up.

I've had a relatively quiet day. Done several loads of washing, cooked dinner and that's about it!

Had a lot of rain during the night. We were both awake during the night and got up for a cuppa.
The wind was very wild, but seems to have calmed down a bit now.

Clover, sorry to hear about your DS and BIL. You must feel so helpless, living so far away.
Enfys, it's lovely that your DG is keeping in touch with you.

Off to in laws later, got relatives coming from Lancashire. It's always the same ones that go to see them.
Some members of the family think they are snobs, so they refuse to go and see them.

              Good morning all.

As you can I am bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for whatever the day has to hold . If not being able to sleep was an Olympic sport I would be gold medal standard.

Its raining here again today which isn’t unusual, it’s windy too.

Has anyone got anything special planned for today?
I might have a good rummage through my wardrobe and be ruthless and get rid of the clothes that I haven’t worn for ages .... like the dress and jacket I wore to DS’s wedding 16 years ago . I am never going to be able to fit into it as I am 2. dress sizes bigger now
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                Good morning everyone.

Daisy, you needed a quiet day yesterday, you have been Super Busy lately!
Nan2, the wind was really wild here too, with rain lashing down. All calm this morning however.
Mimi, sadly a lot of us are a couple of dress sizes bigger than we were!

I hope things are slowly improving for the Enfys family. Libra is happily settled with her family for half term, and all poorly ones will soon be on the mend.

For us, it is a day with friends In my bid to be happier by being proactive, as well as gaining new theatre buddies, I want us to have more games nights. Something we all enjoy when we do it, it's just not often enough. I threw a few dates out, invited several friends, and chose the date the majority could do. Next time we will prioritise the ones who can't come today. As it is a Sunday and most of our friends still work, we are having a Games Afternoon rather than night. Baked potatoes, quiche and salad for lunch, then board games. There will be 8 of us, so a manageable number. I'm looking forward to it!

Happy Sunday, whatever you are doing.

                  Gem enjoy your games afternoon
Mimi I have stuff I think I will keep just in case then I have to admit I wouldn't get into them with a shoe horn these days

Hope everyone is feeling better today , we not sure if DS is bringing children or not , he says he is then they don't appear and no text or phone call to let us know so we don't hold our breath ,
Didn't bring him up to be so bad mannered but what can you do !!!

Good moaning each. It’s a beautiful morning here, but a chilly wind. The church bells have stopped binging and bonging so all the faithful are called to prayer. We are supposed to be with friends for the weekend but it’s OHs turn for the lurgee so we postponed. My pal sent a pic of the cake she had baked, lamenting the fact that she must eat it all herself now. 😆
I am going to catch up with A Stitch in Time now, it’s about how garments were made in historical times and a very clever team reproduce the chosen item using methods used originally. Riveting stuff for me but not anyone else in this house.🙄
Have a good day ladies, Gem, I wish I was invited to your games afternoon, it sounds great fun.

Morning everyone, lovely and sunny here today, hope it lasts, nothing planned not dressed yet. I hope Libra is having a lovely time with her family. Games night sounds good Gemini but I hate quizzes.

Daisy, I hope a more restful time for you, I don't know how you do it, but I suppose I did similar things when I was younger. I now have two jackets winging their way towards me, plus one jacket in the wardrobe, I feel like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Plant - I have a lovely mental picture of you with your Sorcerer's hat on, wand in hand, conducting all those jackets in a mad whirl of flaying sleeves, popping buttons and flapping lapels! How is our SIL now? I hpe he's feeling stronger.

GM - I've often wondered how the elaborate clothes of history were made. I know they didn't have electric sewing machines!!! But when you look at pictures of say Tudor kings and queens, somebody must have had sore fingers from all that stitching!

It's a nice bright day here and has dried up quite a lot after yesterday's rain. We'll take Eva to the paddock later on, possibly with DS2 and family, including Cooper! He's nearly as big as Eva now and he's only 4 ½ months!

Mimi - I' trying to prune down clothes - I've got 3 wardrobes full and nothing to wear! I made a start yesterday on my panties drawer and next on the list is bras! I'm sorry you had yet another sleepless night.

Gem - I'm sure you'll have a lovely afternoon - it sounds good fun.

Libra - I hope you're enjoying your girlies.

Clover and Enfys - thinking of you both xx
