Nan2 and Oma, very heavy frost here too. I don't have to drive until about 1, so hopefully it will be gone by then. The sun is coming out now.

A client for me to go to late afternoon, and a visit to my mum early afternoon. Nothing else planned, but we will probably empty the drawers in the living room ready for the carpet fitters on Wednesday. We have already done the dining room ones.

It's very dull here - but at least it's not frosty and it's dry.

Zizi - I know what you mean about getting the lists on your iPad, and know you need to know what's happening, especially at the moment, but I do feel for you - it's so hard to switch off and have proper 'down' time.

Gem - I hope the frost clears for you - it's no fun driving when the roads are icy.

Oma - My OH would be grumpy too. I hope you find what you're looking for.

I was going to wave the flat hissy thing around this morning, but OH needs the dining room - he's helping someone with a charity audit and they need the table to spread papers out on. Phew! the ironing can wait!!! GD2 is back at playgroup today, so normal Monday routine - pick her up at lunch-time and take her back to their house. Puppy training starts tonight so I've agreed to stay on until they get back from class - about 6.30, and give the girls their dinners and get GD2 in the bath.

Just heard that we have been stood down from another job. Very worried now as that was going to be the saving grace for me as it is. job with a lot of community involvement as the client is a social enterprise. Just have to hold my breath and hope things turn out OK.

Well B survived Ikea bought my napkins , a new bin for Bathroom , some new wine glasses , bulb for the cooker hood , and some storage boxes along with 3 big blue ikea bags as I want to clear the loft and these are ideal size to put junk in to carry down the ladders ,
We then went for Breakfast , well brunch really it was only 10,45

We then went across the road to the Range and I found the ideal Canvas for my bedroom , its Duck egg blue with dream catchers on , not over the top just nice and muted ,
I also bought two packs of hotel cotton white pillow cases reduced to £2.49 for a pk of two , a successful morning and no crying or temper tantrums from B

Afternoon all

Oma the bedroom looks lovey. Oma why do you need more napkins , are you stock pilling them in case there is a shortage . I brought napkins two Christmas's ago and I still haven't got round to opening them.

Zizi its a worry isn't it , hope things turn out ok.

We have been to town today to stock up on birthday cards , get a birthday present for my neighbour and seek out a hanging basket bracket to hang the bid feeder on . I told OH it is too early in the season for such things as the shops will be trying to sell off their Christmas stock , they won't have put out the gardening items yet . I told him yesterday that the very thing we wanted was on eBay for £1.99 but would he listen...NO ... He was adamant that we would find cheaper town . Well we didn't so back on eBay I went and the one I was after has gone . I have ordered another one despite his mumblings of 'we can get one in a few weeks' . I don't want it in a few weeks I want it now .

Silly man, the idea is to feed the birds during the cold weather while the ground is frozen .

Its drizzling here and very cold , its taken me an hour or more to get warm since we have been in, the heating is going at full blast !

Well he has a point , after the holidays I realised I only had 1 pack of 100 left so bought 5 pks = 500 today so now have 600

Have to go back to Ikea tomorrow , the bathroom bin I bought came in two boxes and I picked up a small bin but a large lid so has to be returned , I know I will be sent in alone while he sits in the car , he cant manage 2 days running in Ikea

Just been for a very brisk walk,the wind was bitterly cold. Talk about frozen noses.

Sorry for your worries Zizi. Hope it’s not as bad as you fear.

I’m a bit frustrated because I had a phone call to say my new washing machine,which should have been delivered today now won’t be coming until Saturday They won’t be delivering in this area until then “Would that be alright?” I was asked. “Well it will bloomin’well have to be “ I replied but a bit more politely.Can’t be helped. I suppose so I”ll have to resign myself to the washing basket holding about four times it’s usual amount. I must say it’s a novelty washing bits and pieces by hand again but one I could do without.Luckily due to my hoarding tendency I still have an ancient spin dryer in the garage which has come in most useful.
