      Brrr, chilly here today.

Had a nice evening with DD etc last night, lovely Chinese take away, one of the best weโ€™ve had. So nice to hear all DGDs plans for her travels although I can see myself worrying about her but sheโ€™s a very sensible girl and at least we know a few people in Australia that she will be in contact with shouldmthere be any problem.

Not going anywhere today, I have a new crochet project to start on and I must pack my bag ready for my art group tomorrow. Have a good day everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

        Good morning everyone.
        Frosty here also.

Nan2, gammon sounds good. We have some in the freezer, as I bought far too big a joint for Christmas! Mr Tesco is delivering a fresh chicken today though, so we will be having a Sunday roast.
Daisy the carpet colour is called something like Tufnell (but not that!) A tweedy type of dark beige is my best attempt at describing it!

OH will be on the golf course in a couple of hours time. I will be warm at home! I may go for a walk but not until it warms up slightly.
Tesco delivery due between 10 and 11 this morning. I took the 6 monthly delivery saver plan with Tesco again, as I find I often spend as much as the monthly fee is for my once a month delivery anyway, and this way we can have it more than once a month. There is a free months trial before the 6 months, and although my plan is the midweek one, the free month is the any day plan. Hence us getting a delivery today

        Have a happy Sunday

Hope she has a wonderful time.

Just been on Argos site, and ordered a new tv recorder. I've paid extra for delivery today.
Have a couple of things to watch on the old recorder today.

              Morning ladies ,
              Cold but dry hear ,

Well you wont believe what we have already done this morning ,

I have painted the headboard wall in our bedroom , as the headboard we had there was wall mounted and so all the holes had to be filled and sanded ,hence the re paint ,

We then dismantled a Super king size and a king size beds juggled up and down the landing with them to change rooms ,half in the bathroom and half down the stairs ,
Reassembled them in each room re made the superking size in the spare room swapping curtains and lamps ect ,

Put the king size up in our room and mattress on , god those mattresses are b****y heavy so are the electric motor parts on the super kingsize ,
hovered through not as dirty under beds as I thought ,
Hoovered the stairs and dusted round downstairs and put washing on

Now all I have to do is iron all the new bedding and curtains for our room , I will do those after we come back from the shops ,

Headboard is being put in spare room but that will have to wait till SIL comes during week its like a hotel one huge and far too heavy for us to do alone has to be lifted on to brackets

I am now ready for bed again
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Once you make your mind up, to get things done, it's good to crack on.
It is for me anyway. Your hard work will be worth it.

Good morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here but seemed a bit chilly when I went out to fill the bird feeders.

I had no idea there were so many option with supermarket deliveries! My Dad was a grocer and he used to just load all the deliveries into his car on a Friday evening and drive round to the customers - most asked him in for a cup of tea and a chat and it would take him ages. I used to love doing the round with him.

Gem - I think I get the idea about the carpet - colour names aren't always very descriptive are they. Perhaps youll post a pic when it's down.

Clover - Cooper is growing like a weed - he's nearly as tall as Eva now. I'll post some pics later.

I am now exhausted and think I might go back to bed. Exhausted after reading Oma's post. Oma - you really are superwoman!!!

Just a bit of washing to do today and get ready for next week - everything is back to normal, so GDs Monday and Tuesday, dog training Tuesday night, hide under duvet in a darkened room on Wednesday etc, etc.

                    Oma, good lord!!!
I felt proud because I managed to shower, wash and comb my hair, and get dressed in time for the 10 am delivery slot!!
It's not here yet, but you need to be ready for the start of the hour.

Its a chilly good morning this morning

Now ladies just between me and you, not a word to Oma , Do you think she is a tad on the lazy side?

Oma, you do more in a morning than I do all week .

We don't have much planned today. I an itching to put up the bird feeder but it means having to walk across the lawn and as its full of frost I know that OH would go into melt down if I trod on his grass as it would ruin it with frost still on it. It 'burns' the grass apparently .

Not cooking Sunday lunch today, we are having left over chicken casserole from yesterday .

Have a relaxing day everyone and Oma that means you also
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

You are an amazing couple Oma, I can't remember why you are changing rooms. I felt very pleased with myself clearing out my plastic boxes cupboard, I had lids without boxes and boxes without lids, so spent a time matching them up and the orphans have been consigned to recycling. and the cupboard is satisfactorily tidy.

Baby E was his usual happy self, he had a nap in the cot DD and SIL had bought as he wouldn't sleep in the travel cot. GS was on call for his job, his partner was out with her mother shopping for brides and bridesmaid dresses so GS comes here when he is on call and on his own. His GP don't complain and his other GGM hadn't seen him for a while as she had the awful virus. GS's partner's family have three weddings this year, both of her brothers decided to propose to their partners. I feel so sorry for her mother having to choose three outfits, at least she isn't the brides mother for the other two but their parents don't live in GB so she is having to help out a bit.

Would love to see a pic of Cooper, Daisy.

All this decorating and changing curtains, carpets fitted, it must be Spring.

We are changing the beds around as the shape of our room long and not so wide means we don't have a lot of space either side of the bed ,
As B has limited feeling in his leg its difficult for him to get down the side of the bed sideways, its a electric king size ,
The spare room is squarer so the super king fits better .

To get it out of our room it had to be taken to pieces and re built , the frame isn't so heavy but the motors on the two bases are very heavy ,
We planned it all before we started so knew where everything would go to make it easier and we slid the heavy things along the carpet
It has two separate mattresses making it easy to move them it was the memory foam one from the king size that was the hardest it has no handles to lift with , so difficult ,
bedding on just curtains to go up after ive had a rest

Will you have a different outlook in your new bedroom?

I am thinking of removing the beds from my spare room as I don't really have any use for them now the GC are not needing to stay. DD would like them in her spare bedroom as she has the cot in there for GGS and twin beds which makes it a bit crowded. These beds are the roll under type and if you pull out the underneath one you can zip the mattresses together to make a 5ft or use them as twins or of course keep it as a single bed. the room is only used by GS2 when he pops home or an occasional visitor so should work fine but she needs to get rid of the twin beds in there atm. I would like to get a table for my sewing machine so that I can keep it out, it is such a fag when I want to do some sewing to have it on the dining table, I have to keep putting it away. Well that's the plan, need to look for a nice table.

We staying in the same room Plant just re decorated and bought new bedding and curtains , if B needs to use the electric bed any night he will just go in the spare room ( more room for me when he does )
Its looking lovely just need a nice print for above the bed
