Yes, how are you today WG? And I hope all other poorly ones are feeling better, I think most of us are OK now, thank goodness.

Qwerty, mum wants a living flame fire, rather than the 4 radiant one which we chose as it was the warmest and most energy efficient available. It is only a few years old, and service would sort it out I'm sure. However she is adamant about the living flame one. She wants something warm to look at. We have told her, many times that they are a lot less warm and really intended as back up to central heating (which she doesn't have) It is her money, her home, and I want something that will make her happier, so sod it LOL, I will just go laong with it, then suffer the consequences when she moans it is not warm enough and gas bills too high

We are going to look at some tomorrow, so I can report to mum on Thursday.

Morning all, hope anyone poorly is feeling better today. It’s a bit dreary here but not too cold.

We are out this afternoon to a meeting at the local Ileostomy support group! Don’t I have an exciting life 😀. They have been very helpful so P wants to go and get some more info and meet some of the people. It should be good for him to chat to others in the same position.

Out tonight to Townswomens Guild meeting, Unfortunately our group is closing in a couple of weeks as the Chairwoman, secretary and treasurer all want to step down and no-one wants to take over. So that means we have to close. I certainly couldn’t take anything on at the moment. There is another group nearby which meets in the afternoon which would suit me as it is the same afternoon that DH goes to bowls. So a busy day here today.

Hope you all, have a good day.

It's sad when groups have to close down as here is no one to take on the roles Enfys, you certainly can't take it on atm though.

Don't faint, but I am going to switch on The Archers Omnibus on i player, and get out dusters and hoover, and do housework!!

WG how are you today ?

Didn't have a good night with Migraine so feel rough today but we went to Smyth's toy shop to get S her LOL stuff she wants for Easter , a couple on the list are out of stock but managed to get two in the Durham store and reserve 1 in the Gateshead store to pick up , she made a list of about 6 so 3 isn't too bad , O was easier he wanted a X Box game ,

Feeling much better today thanks ladies!
Been to GP about ongoing back pain. She thinks it could be sciatica, so I'm off to see a man who knows what it's all about. Not keen on this ageing process at all!
Message from DS, he's been back to see his consultant who is very pleased with his progress. Doesn't have to go back until September! Feel less worried about him now.
Gem.....go with the flow with your Mum. My MiL was like that, once she'd decided what she wanted, that was it. Didn't matter if there were better options out there and if a certain neighbour/niece had recommended something, then that's what it had to be!
Sunny here, but chilly wind. Need to deliver leaflets for the anti-incinerator group. The powers that be want to build huge waste incinerator a couple of miles outside the village, along with a new town, a new railway station and a relocated sewage works! Don't know what our village has done to deserve all that on our doorstep!
Have a good day everyone what ever you're up to.

WG we have a action group too for the same thing , They want to build one at the bottom of the next village /estate .
We know they are needed but not right next to residential areas , the thing is we have lots of surrounding land it could go on away from estates , land that is surrounded by trees that could reduce the impact , but no our council in its wisdom has decided this spot is best , pure madness , it already has Nissan on its door step and the traffic it causes

Lovely Spring day here too. Been to JL to return an item, stopped for coffee. Out tonight to Trefoil Guild, it is our birthday so it will be a party.
Surprising what an action group can achieve Qwerty and Oma

Just back from lunch with friends so no dinner to cook tonight. OH is already snoring.🙄
Sweet peas and corn flowers poking through in green house, apple seeds sprouted too. This makes me very happy.😁
