Awww poor GD, isn't it awful when you have to deny kids a sleepover.

Enfys, sorry you had a bad night.
Pleased GD is having a good time.

Went to Asda earlier and stocked up.
Had something to eat, then hubby went to sort brother out.

While hubby is out,i've been ringing the kids and grandkids, to try and arrange a meal out next month.
    It's for hubby's 70th birthday.
Well believe me,it's easier said than done.
Four of them work Sundays, which is the day i would like to go, so everyone is trying to make it work.
Even Rosie, has a part time job which involves working Sundays.

Oma - thank goodness they turned up, but poor little GD not being able to have a sleepover.

Nanto - in our family we can't even organise everyday stuff, let alone a 70th birthday celebration! I hope you get there eventually.

Qwerty - welcome back. So pleased you've had a great time - I really look forward to hearing all about it - a nice long Journal entry would be a treat, and photos would be even better. But first, you'd better wash your knickers! I don't know what these ladies are thinking of - going without, my goodness, what is the world coming to!!!

Gem - I hope the party for DD3 and her OH goes well tonight. The cake will definitely be the highlight. xx

Had a lovely walk in Praia da Luz today, along the cliffs. The wild flowers were amazing, such beautiful colours, they seem to be around much later this year. I think it’s down to the wet Spring we had here.

There's so much happening to you all that I wouldn't know where to start if I replied to everyone. I'm interested in everything that's going on with you all so please don't feel put out that I can't reply.

Daisy what seems like way back now I said I was hoovering before the GSs came round. I do it because our cocker sheds a lot & the youngest has sensitive skin to say the least. Took them back Thurs evening & yesterday she txt to say he has chicken pox. Poor little thing.

No plans for us. Just seem to go with the flow these days.

Nana - in that case you are totally let off hoovering before the little ones visit!!! Poor little thing though. Having a sensitive skin is bad enough, but chickenpox will be very painful, I'm sure. Have you had chickenpox?

Eva seems to have finished her spring moult now. I hoovered right through the house today and only collected two hoover-fuls, instead of one per room a couple of weeks ago!

Wow...you're good with the sucky up thing Daisy. I did wonder about Shingles but DD says Chicken Pox can't be passed onto us as such. She says if you have had CP it can come out as Shingles at any time. I did wonder if she's right.

                                Good morning everyone.

You have to have had chicken pox to get shingles Nana, the virus lies dormant within you, and I think your DD is right. Adults who have never has chickenpox have more to fear from children with it, as adult chickenpox is horrible. A friend of mine said she had never felt so ill. My OH said her shingles was painful, but she didn't really feel ill. You may want to ask about the vaccination though.

I couldn't get back to sleep after the taxi departed with the 4 happy holiday ladies at 5am, so I am here with a morning cup of tea!

We had such a good night last night, lots of laughs and no tears. Mind you, almost everyone will see them again before they leave on Tuesday. The cake was a great success, they loved it!
DD brought a box of random things to the table which they were giving away, which she held up one by one and announced, and we took what we wanted, which was fun as well and produced many laughs, especially the '6 nighttime sanitary towels' ! I did quite well with some Clarins hand and nail cream, homemade mincemeat and jam, and nice tea bags.

OH is on her way now. Bacon sandwiches at Leeds airport is the first event. The forecast over there for the week is a lot cooler than last year, or any time I have been to the Algarve, so hopefully it will be wrong. They don't want it too hot, but hotter than the present forecast!
Later I am heading over to DD2's again, for a meal and to spend some more time with DD3 as they are so booked up tomorrow seeing friends that I wont see them again before they go.

                                Have a good day everyone
