Good afternoon all , I hope I find you all well .
Libra hope you have encouraging news about T today
Feeling rather worn out after our weekend break in Liverpool, it was so hot and we did a stupid amount of walking. First there was the Liverpool stadium tour and goodness knows how many steps we climbed that day !
Albert Docks was wonderful, again it was really hot there ....and lots more walking . OH and BIL watched the England football match back at the hotel in the lounge , they were the only two there as SIL and myself had to go and rest in our rooms as her back was aching and my hip was giving me jip
The hotel was lovely and comfy and we were all had fans in our rooms to try and lower the temperature . There was a huge choice of breakfast and free tea/coffee and hot chocolate all day long as well as endless supplies of crushed ice which I put into a glass and stood it in front of the fan in our bedroom
Unfortunately, one evening , when we were in one of these oldey worldy type pubs I managed to knock the side my head on a very low beam that was well sign posted but I didn't see the sign till it was too late . I gave my poor head a hell of a knock and it made me feel quite unwell but I told everyone I was OK (as you do) but I did feel a little nauseous . The next day I was in the ladies, doing what comes naturally when I reached up to get some toilet tissue when the whole lot came crashing down on the other side of my head . It was one of those big toilet tissue holders that hold two huge rolls at a time . At one stage I was actually pinned down on the toilet but moving was hampered by my laughing as I must have looked ridiculous . If any one had opened the door all they would have seen would have been my legs and feet as I had the toilet tissue holder sitting in my lap ! Oh I did laugh , SIL was the other side of the door asking, between laughter, was I alright .
By now my head was painful on both sides and for a while again I was feeling nauseous , My head is still painful especially when I brush my hair,
Although we didn't want leave on Monday morning it is really nice to be home
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Thanks Qwerty, all ok here, just feeling a bit quiet at the moment.
Second chemo yesterday, so,far he’s feeling fine 🤞, enjoying the tennis and it’s also been much cooler here today thank goodness. Hopefully I’ll get to the Heart Club gym tomorrow, feel I need some exercise, have spent so much time sitting around.
We watched the RAF flynoast on TV this morning, how emotional that made us feel. My father was in the RAF and he would have lived to see that. No one does ceremony and celebration like the British and how smart all the service men and women were. Great occasion.
More footie tonight, but I have an hour of Emmerdale somthats ok. Should sleep better tonight thank goodness.

Enfys , I would have found that emotional too, my dad was in the RAF.
You must have been tired Clover, I often almost drop off holding a drink (and no, I don't mean gin) but always seem to wake up before I spill any.
Mimi, you are not safe to be let out!! Seriously, I hope you are OK. Your poor head
GS1 was a good boy for me. He chose to come back here after school. Mummy was slightly early collecting him, so we played a game of snakes and ladders. He is not emotionally ready for this game, although it was his choice. He got naughty and silly knocking our pieces off the board and kicking the board. It ended in tears as you can imagine - and my wishing he wasn't coming for a sleepover on Saturday!! He is much better behaved when DD is not there though, so it will be ok (I hope)
Early start for me tomorrow, I have to be at the bus stop for about 8 (because I inadvertently booked a train leaving York at the time I intended to arrive in Durham!!!
If I don't get online before I go, be good and I will catch up with you all in the evening!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good evening, everyone.
Enfys, fingers crossed P is ok and you both get a good night's sleep - at least it's cooler tonight. xx
Gem - I'm sure GS1 will be fine for his sleepover on Saturday. It's amazing how children play up their mums!
I hope all the Durham bound ladies have a great time - so sorry I can't be with you! Now just behave yourselves, no rolling down hills!!
Mimi - your poor head! But the scene in the loo must have been very funny!
Qwerty - glad you enjoyed the sandwich.
Wondering how Libra's DD has got on today.
I've had my usual busy Tuesday, but Eva was brilliant at dog training tonight which makes it much easier. I'll have to get up early tomorrow to do my packing, soak the garden and sort out food etc for the caravan.
