Morning all .Please excuse my absence for the last day or two but I have had the migraine from hell


Its a very muggy day here and I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have a thunderstorm later today. Even the birds have stopped singing , its extremely quiet here !
Its strange weather we are having as we had to put the heating on for a while yesterday .

Good morning everyone. We are enjoying the worst of the country's weather at the moment - proper miserable it is, although not particularly cold.

Gem - Summer Holiday should be lovely, and it's good to have a bit of 'you and OH' time before she goes off on her golfing jolly. I think it would do your mum good to get out a bit more, too. Fingers crossed she agrees.

Grauntie - I hope the weather stays good for your walk.

Libra - the taxi will take some of the strain off going for the blood tests. I hope things are getting a bit better.

Oma - at least you've done some shopping if DS and GCs make it for tea. It's frustrating isn't it when they don't turn up when they've said they will.

Nanto - we shouldn't be needing the heating at this time of year, should we. I hope the weather picks up for you.

Plant - everyone is having their hair done this week!! At least you don't have to worry about getting there. I hope the travellers in your family have had a good time. Does this mean you can stand down from kitten-sitting duties for a bit? What plants did you choose?

Mimi - poor you. That must have been a horrible couple of days. I definitely blame the weather. My OH had a headache yesterday, and he never gets them normally, the it's very humid and heavy.

Enfys - I'm glad you're going out for lunch - it will do you both good. xx How lovely to have a chat with GD. I'm sure she will have a wonderful time in Tahiti.

As I mentioned elsewhere, we are going out for lunch - just a Forest pub where we can take Eva, then to friends for dinner tonight. A lazy day for me!!

Oh Mimi, so sorry to hear about your migraine, do hope you feel better now. Really strange weather we are having.

Called a plumber, he came very quickly to look at what was required and will be back Monday to do the job. In the meantime it will have to be buckets to flush it.

Sun coming out now after a misty start. Hopefully doggo will come for a walk this afternoon. He's been left while his family spend day with MiL. He'll be collected tomorrow! He's been rearranging the cushions and pillows on beds this morning, but he got turfed off our's when I heard the scrabbling!

The hospital seems to be throwing as many difficulties as they can in your direction Libra! Could they not put your DD's medication in one of those pill holder thingies? Our neighbour gets his from the pharmacist every week and all the meds for the day are together so he can see what he's taken or not taken!

Don't forget the bucket Plant. At least you've got another loo!

Well the sun is blazing down now , its very muggy ,
Hospital went well we have 3 weeks off
Surprise -surprise DS not coming tea time its Saturday morning now , but at least he told us this time usually he just doesn't turn up and no explanation ,
Think he got a shock on Monday when his Dad gave him a right telling off , B doesn't usually do the telling off its generally me but B was so mad at him he went full hog with him ,

Mimi you will take a few days to get over those kind of Migraines they are wicked ,

Gem enjoy your snatched time with her , you may have to put your foot down and get her to spend more time with you That's what comes of being so good at a sport she's needed

Got all the meds organised after phoning around, Wee Granny they do or are meant to in a day by day blister pack markef marked up for 8am 2pm 6pm 10pm. Now they will be done at Boots in Paignton and delivered to the house each month. As with all things medical nothing is straightforward . Had a good day yesterday and today seems to be going well thus far 🙏hope you got your plants in Plant, Oma how annoying but at least you were forewarned this time by DS. All is quiet I have been to the park so DD could have a quiet time

Busy day here 😊
I got the cake iced and minutes finished before going to mums. She came with me to see my sister and it did her good. I did a little gardening for mum when we got back. Then home via the fish and chip shop!
The show this evening was fantastic. We had a lovely night 😊
