    Good morning ladies.

Gem, i was surprised to see you up so early, but just read OH is in her way to Portugal.
We've had bacon sandwiches a few times at Leeds/Bradford airport.

Pleased you had a good time last night,i'm surprised there wasn't any tears though.

It looks like we have had a bit of rain during the night.
Hubby gone to a car boot again with his brother.

    Nothing special planned for today.
If i get time/or can be bothered,i might make some corned beef/onion pies for the freezer.

Off to get in the shower now, then have breakfast.

It’s that time of year again
I wait months for some nice weather and when it comes I am shut inside trying to avoid the pollen.

Nan2 it’s a nightmare trying to get all the family together . There is always one or two who are either working or got a previous part or wedding so can’t make that day . I suggest another date and than it’s not convenient for someone else. Good luck with your arrangements Nan2

Don’ panic ladies I can see Qwerty has got her undies out on line

Gem your evening sounded lovely. Did anyone take a picture of the cake, it must have looked amazing. Well done you, no tears but lots of laughter, a fantastic way to remember the evening by .

Nan2, I think the tears will come when each of us sees them for the last time, for me when I come home this evening!
Good to see Qwerty's smalls on the line Mimi

          Morning.

Gem I know you’ll be sad to say goodbye and leave DD and her hubby but once it’s done the countdown can start to them coming home.I hope S has a successful trip.

Mimi I love that graphic. I think my knicker selection is stuck in the 1970’s

I hope everyone has got some sunshine and has a good day.

              Good moaning each!
Back to a lovely sunny day, (it was sunny most of the week in the dales too.) my washing is churning but I do have clean under-drawers, unlike qwerty. ☺️
Gem I hope OH has good weather, my OH will be going in a few weeks.
Nanto2 corned beef and onion sounds delicious. If only I could make decent pastry. I can even spoil ready made.
Mimi, have you tried smearing Vaseline around your nose before you go out? Just a thought.
Oma,it never occurred to me to make my own peanut butter! I eat jars of it. I will google a recipe.
Onward and upward. Have a good day each.

                Good morning ladies.

Qwerty - it looks as though you covered (ahem) all eventualities with your undies!!!

Gem - I think the slightly crinkly edges on the cake added to the sad faces - brilliant! It seemed a shame to cut it really. I hope your OH has a safe and trouble-free journey this morning, well fuelled by bacon butties! Fingers crossed the weather improves for them.

It's already very warm here - a glorious sunny day. I worked very hard yesterday to catch up with the chores after all our visitors and outings etc. There's a pile of stuff waiting for the flat hissy thing (and will still be waiting tomorrow!) but that is all. Today I'm going to enjoy the garden, do some pottering round and stop for regular breaks in the summerhouse!

Oma - all those goodies! Lucky DS. Lime marmalade - yummy!

My DS1 landed safely in Australia last night. For once it sounded like a trouble-free journey - he's always plagued by delays and cancellations when he does long-haul trips!

I'll try and send some of our sunshine for those with cloudy skies - have a good day everyone. xxx

GM - we posted together - relieved to hear you, unlike Qwerty, are decently dressed!!!

Lovely goody bag Oma for DS's family.

Will be thinking of you Gemini when you come home tonight, I don't expect tears will be far away.

My sil's family are gathering here today to celebrate their mother's 91st birthday. Lovely day forecast so hope we shall be outside, not sure what the kitten will make of it. Haven't heard yet when my sister's funeral will be, not sure if I will be able to go it is a 2 hour car journey from here across London and there is no parking outside her house. Talking of knickers, my DD announced yesterday that she has lost 3 pairs and is going to search our drawers for them, they certainly wouldn't fit me, I expect they will pop out of another item of clothing.

Good morning, very warm and sunny here. Just made a chicken pie for lunch, now enjoying a cold drink outside.

Had a real senior moment yesterday.... a couple of weeks ago I found two lovely cross stitch kits in a charity shop and just fancied starting one. Could I find them! I had the place upside down, drawers emptied, even looked in places where they really couldn’t have been. Gave up in the end. Walk into lounge and there, on the table, right in front of me...there they are! Gremlins or what? Need to go to specsavers 😎

Re knickers......many years ago we were on holiday in Spain and I'd hung out a washing. Didn't bother taking it in at night as the villa garden was quite secluded. Next morning I was at the window and noticed gaps in the washing.......someone had only gone and pinched my lovely new knickers which I'd had to buy at the airport because I'd forgotten to pack any!!!
Daisy...........my GP once told me to go without knickers in the Summer because it was good to let the air round your 'privates'!! Had to remember not to wear a full skirt when doing it though!

Morning ladies. I wonder what knicker picture would feature in the year 2018? 🤣 I wonder if Qwerty is wearing her red hat? (The old saying goes "Red hat no drawers".)

Relaxing day for us again today. OH's right eye is almost closed due to hay fever...it was the left yesterday. Oma your son sounds as cheeky as his dad. I'm off to nurse for sugar level blood test on Tues so I'll ask about the shingles jab then. Hope you all have this sunny day. Enjoy.

As it happens Plant I'm treating him to a surprise back massage/cleanse & foot treatment tomoro at my beauticians. He'll love it. I hope it will relax him too. We've known the beautician for about 20+yrs now & they get on well so I'm sure he'll love his surprise.

Hope your blood sugar test goes ok next tuesday.

Oma,always handy to keep some pies in the freezer.
I made 3 plate pies and 2 with baked beans and mash on top.
All packed away in the freezer now.

Gem, loved your slice of cake.

After all this talk about knickers, reminded me of a tale.
Many years ago,we went to a sauna. Took all my make up and going out clothes.
We were meeting friends after the sauna and going for a meal.
Next day, when i unpacked my bag, my bra was missing.
                              Never did find it.

Afternoon ladies , now how come you are putting my dirty laundry on the forum, I am shocked also about the size of my pants , I’ll have you know I have the daintiest little Derry air.I am actually all fur coat and no knickers to be exact and I do have the odd pair of paper knickers too , I knew they would come in handy at some point.
We have had a lovely if not tiring week, g/d has been well behaved well for a 7 yr old, I will talk more about it on my journal which at the earliest will be Tuesday , have twins for tea, and sleepover mummy has an early train to catch to Newcastle and so is taking the car to the station meaning DS will be unable to bring them to us in the morning.
We were at a bbq birthday party yesterday it was a small gathering of immediate family plus the first meeting of boyfriend and his parents, we got on well with them , as usual in our family you look back on the day my niece gave birth we were determined to embarrass her lol especially when I asked should be buying a hat the moment was lost on them
A very good friend of mine on here did fill me in on the important things I’ve missed , I was so sorry to hear Aggie had lost her Jim, and some bad news about Enfys husband , I will ring you later hun , also the passing away of Plants sister such a lot has happened, but on the good side Avo has another grandson there will be lots of cooing going on there,
DD has had a 2nd week off sick, she’s has
some funny turns but wouldn’t tell whist we were away. she’s been to the doctors and he thinks it’s low blood pressure and has given her iron tablets as he thinks she is a anaemic she’s going back to work on Tuesday, and dentist week after to sort her missing teeth out
I will read posts as much as I can but a week away is a long time in my book on this forum , oh and I lost my glasses in London had them a few months and they were Kylie Minogue ones cost me an arm and leg , I have felt a bit slack last week forgetting and losing things cele la vie
