Good morning all . We have just come back from a very long walk , we went to our DC first went to school which has been knocked down, houses and bungalows have been built on the site and a new school rebuilt near by. We also passed the flat where dad used to live. Its all over grown and looking very neglected,
My niece and her boyfriend popped by yesterday , we had a few tears but she was delighted to take some photos back with her of her with her mum and with her dad and I gave her a photo of her with my mum ( her nan ) .
GM, my goodness you did have a house full, how are you feeling
Plant to my dismay I found my iron and never mind Llamas or Alpacca spitting, my iron does
I have survived....just! They all slept until 6, but I never sleep properly when on guard. Now they want to make sock dogs and I have a lunch for all to prepare. Somehow we will manage it. J is very good, she is 11.
I can do this-I am a WOMAN.
Well I am able to say we are having a quiet weekend, I popped over the road to my friend who lost her OH back in February she didn’t look well at all she lost weight about a couple of years ago but she’s a chain smoker and has a horrible chest she’s down to 6 st 4 lbs she’s been to docs and is having a bone scan and stomach x ray as she has some tummy problem and she’s going to her Dd in New Zealand end of October hope they sort her out before then.
Mimi I always feel nostalgic when I pass homes I have lived in not always good memories, one of the houses I actually got married from is now a B&B , and two others have been demolished life moves on doesn’t
Gem enjoy your day out alpacas are not my cup of tea but if they are you will love it , glad you enjoyed the theatre I must be so boring I’m not a lover of Shakespeare too but it would t do for us to be all the same 😬
Well I did have a win on the Lottery last night......but I don't think £6 will go far to my dream of clean sheets every day!
Treated ourselves to lunch out today and now feel an afternoon zizz coming on....after P has been out for a walk. Pleased to say his tummy upset seems to be clearing and I don't have to administer medicine via a syring in his mouth. Luckily he seemed to like the taste of it and licked his lips afterwards! Costing a fortune in chicken breasts and rice though!
Hope GM has survived the GC sleepover!
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies whatever you're up to!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
Theodore Roosevelt.
Alpacas hum to each other!! Honestly, I'm not kidding.
I think we should crown Grauntie "Queen Gran" - 4 on a sleepover and still smiling. It must be some kind of record. Well done GM.
Avo - I hope you had a lovely time.
Qwerty - I'm glad you're having a quiet week-end with such a busy week ahead. You need to conserve your energy! xx
WG - most dogs will eat anything with gusto - even medicine!! Glad he's ok, though.
Nanto - I could have helped by bringing my ironing over to you as well! I did do most of it, but there's still some left!
I spent a couple of hours in my summerhouse deciding on my next little painting project, and made a start on it. Then when it got a bit cooler I took Eva to the paddock for a run. I can't believe I forgot to take treat and water for her, but I had a small bottle in the car and she will happily drink straight from the bottle. It was 24C - warmer than I realised, so we didn't stay long. Came home and cooked dinner and am just about to get ready for an early start tomorrow - OH has to go to the eye hospital for more injections first thing.

We have had it misty most of the day, went to Sennen, sat in a restaurant overlooking the sea and had lunch. DIL made a delicious fish pie for dinner. GS girlfriend seems to be a fussy eater but has a very sweet tooth. Hope the weather improves tomorrow.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Thank you all for your kind concern. I have survived and I am still sane! I ended up making most of the flipping sock dogs. They have gone home with their owners so sorry Plant, no pics. Luckily OH prepped all the veg and cooked the meat on the BBQ. My goodness, my family can eat! All have gone home, the fridge is nearly empty now and we have cleared up.
Gem, how did you enjoy walking with the Alpaccas? Can you buy their wool?
Avo, please tell me you weren’t actually under canvas...WG, what is it like to have such a fabulous win? Have you decided how to spend it? Mimi, ironing can be a dangerous game, you should desist. Did you hear that Nanto2? Daisy, your day sounds like heaven. I’m going to have some craft days next week with any luck.
Qwerty, a Grandma has to do what a Grandma has to do. I think one of the highlights of the visit was our pea shooter war. We used wide straws and rolled up bits of tissue and it was every man for himself.
No pressure this week, oh joy.

Our 23rd Wedding Anniversary today. Had a super day trying to find Wensleydale, ( is there such a place?) failed would you believe🤣 Ended up in Kendal instead. We went to the Lakes for our Honeymoon, so no grumbles.
Pleased you're all ok....other than bad knees & backs. Have a good week all of you.

Avo, family camping sounds fun
Plant, better weather for you all today I hope.
Mimi, don't forget your friends after such a good win
No alpalca spitting. I loved it all Grauntie, and you can buy their wool and products made from their lovely wool. I have said more about this on the relevant thread http://gransrus.com/forum/travel-and...ng-with-alpaca
Nana, good to hear you has a lovely day . Surely there is a place called Wensleydale? Mind you, ex OH and I failed to find Carthage when we went to Tunisia. We hired a car for one day specifically to do that. We even asked locals! We were disappointed.
I hope you get the gardening done Nan2.
Aldi this morning with OH. This afternoon I will go to see my mum, picking up library audio books on the way.
Speaking of knees my left one is suffering from 2 consecutive days walking. I will rest it as much as possible today, as I am out with GS1 tomorrow.
Have a good day and week everyone.

Sorry I’ve been AWOL but have had family visiting over the weekend. For once in a blue moon all DC together, very rarely happens these days. It was SO lovely to have them all together if only for a few hours. Haven’t seen DD SIL and GC,.for about 2 months same with DS2 so it was lovely to see them and for the GC to see both their uncles. The weather wasn’t the best but we did manage a beach trip.
I’ve put a couple of family photos on my media.
