Good morning all. How did you sleep. We’ve had thunder and torrential rain most of the night and now it’s very muggy even though we have got a lot of the windows open.

Its June already, can’t believe it . This is our wedding anniversary month but thankfully not too many birthdays. In May I seemed to be sending out greetings cards every other day to someone.

Plant must have ben a day for broken toilets, ours refused to flushed but plumber soon sorted it thankfully.

Oma 3 week’s without a hospital visit ! You won’t know what to do with yourselves.

Tesco delivery today but nothing else planned so far.

Hope the sun shines for everyone today .
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

      Hope eeryone slept well.

      And welcome to

It's a beautiful morning and no breeze at all.
We didn't have any rain during the night, but heavy thundery showers are forecast for this afternoon.

We only have 4 birthdays this month, the first one being our eldest on the 16th.

Oma,thats good about no hospital visits for 3 weeks.

Gem,pleased your mum went with you to visit sister, and that you enjoyed the show.

No particular plans today, apart from going to inlaws.
Fish and chip day again,a week soon goes by.

Good morning all, and Happy June!
Good and bad for me this month. My birthday, plus 2 SILs, and towards the end of the month, my holiday. Also my 'baby' DD3 and her OH go to Canada for months

We had no rain either Nan2, and it is a sunny morning.

Today is GD and GS2 day. This morning we are meeting our friends and their 2 GDs, for a picnic. They have to drive the girls home at 2ish, so we will come back home then, for GS's nap and GD can play in the paddling pool.

        Have a good day everyone.

DD and Sil arrived back from Madrid yesterday evening, said the weather wasn't very good. Blood test for me this morning, GD1 taking me then we will go food shopping. Haven't seen GS1 since his bike accident but GS2 (physio) went to see him and said he is in a lot of pain and badly bruised. Very overcast here, not sure what the forecast is.

Mimi - wash your mouth out with soap, right now, you naughty girl!!!

Gem - how lovely to be able to meet up with friends with other little ones (or not so little in GD's case) and have a picnic. Glad the sun is shining for you.

Oma - that sounds like a lot of tedious painting, no wonder you need a sit down! What colour are you painting the fence?

Nanto - I could just eat your fish and chips right now!

We all seem to be thinking the same thing - how quickly the weeks go (measured by Nanto's fish and chips ) and how can it be June already!

Plant - poor GS1, I do hope he's feeling better soon, poor chap. I hope your blood test goes ok.

I don't know whether we had a storm during the night or not. I think it rained as the lawn is wet, but I slept like a log (we old ladies need our beauty sleep) and didn't wake up till just before 9 o'clock! My friend, M, had stayed the night and she was already up and had had her breakfast. It's a good job we know each other well!!

Mimi - both May and June are packed with birthdays - I bought about 16 cards this week for June and into the early part of July!

Ladies - what lovely, bright cheerful graphics. They put a smile on your face straight away.

I'm having a day round the house today. I've got about 6 or 7 loads of washing to do - bedding from the caravan, which I didn't have time to do when we got back, towels by the ton, plus normal washing! It would be nice if the sun came out to help dry it all, but it's overcase and humid, not good drying weather at all.

Sun shining here now, hope it's on its way to you Daisy.

Just got back from Waitrose with shopping, thanks to GD1. The blood test Daisy was to check if it will be okay for me to have the injection for my bones next week. Planted out some cosmia a couple of days ago, looked yesterday and the B*****y slugs had eaten the lot. I had some more to go elsewhere so have replaced them, I am sorry but slug bait was put down. I received some rather pathetic geraniums from Jersey flowers direct. I think they plant them when you send the order. Oh I wish I could get to a garden centre.

Don't envy you Oma with the fence painting but I hate painting of any sort, except the artistic one but I am not much good at that.

Mimi please don't upset Daisy, it is a long time before C..................s

16 cards Daisy that is a lot, only 1 for me this month

Well all done apart from back of shed , its very close to fence so have to wait till that bit of fence is dry so I can lean against it ,
                    Daisy its Dark oak ,
Just had a shower and put my PJ's straight on , no point in getting dressed now im going no where ,
I pain in all my joints my poorly fingers are killing as im right handed and that's the hand they are on , the deep heat will be out before bed

Just the patio to lift , my niece is having those slabs her FIL and husband are collecting them next week then we can order the Astro turf , lots more for the tip still B deciding to clean the shed out

Plant a bit annoying about your Geraniums , and your Cosmia you need some frogs in the garden to eat the slugs
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, time for you to relax now.

Plant, hubby planted some cosmia last weekend, that his friend gave him.
He did put plenty of slug pellets down though.

Rosie here, staying the night.I think she will be in bed early.
Said she couldn't sleep last night,so got up and watched a film till 4.30 this morning.

                        Afternoon ladies.Better late that never.
This morning started really misty and drizzly but it has cleared now.
Work for me this morning including cleaning the brass.
After lunch I fell fast asleep but only for about 10 minutes,a real Nana nap!
I then did a bit in the garden but everything was dripping from this morning’s wet start.
Plant ,how annoying about your plants being eaten. I’m afraid I resort to a few slug pellets, but I also scatter crushed eggshells round the base of the plants too.Sometimes I think the slugs swing across from other plants I also make cylinders of plastic from drinks bottles and use them as collars round the more vulnerable plants. Between the cats, slugs and moles it’s a constant battle.

We were up at 2:45 this morning, taxi arrived 3:30 for trip to Luton Airport, arrived at our apartment on Portugal 11 a.m. after stopping for petrol for the hire car! Not bad. Lazy afternoon by the pool, and nice meal by the beach at one of our favourite restaurants. Happy Nanna 😁

Avo, enjoy yourselves My OH is headed to Faro on Sunday for 5 days golf.
How nice to have Rosie there Nan2, I hope she sleeps well.
How annoying about those geraniums Plant. I wish I was close enough to take you to the garden centre!!

A busy tiring but good day here. It was very very hot and humid. I hadn't realised that the big park we went to didn't have any fenced off area around the toddlers play area. So, eventually GS2 worked out he could roam anywhere, and did! I spent almost all the time running around after him. and my friend helped me a fair bit. We were hot and tired by the end! The children had a lovely time, and we grown ups promised to meet up again soon without GC, so we could actually talk
Back home, all hot, GS was changed and went for a 2 hour nap, and GD watched TV in the cool of the house. When GS woke they had tea in the garden and played in the pool. Mummy came back and had a cup of tea in the garden with us.
It is busy around here tonight! OH is finishing her packing, and she and I emptied and cleaned the big paddling pool and hung it on the washing line.
