DS is coming up for lunch today but at the moment I’m not sure what to cook so it will be a surprise all round.
After all the rain we have had the weeds in the boarders need weeding, the little blighters grow at an alarming rate when your back is turned .

A bit late to the party this morning.

Had a n early morning visitor,hubby's brother came,needs help with something.
So, he stayed for breakfast.

Only going supermarket shopping today,when hubby comes back.
Then he will go back to brothers house to sort a bit of plumbing for him.

A few spots of rain this morning,nothing serious.

Gem,i bet there will be a few tears tonight, only natural.

Good Saturday morning, everyone.

The good weather seems to have changed from north to south It's a beautiful sunny morning here, and already very warm. A day in the garden for me, even though I'll have to waft a yellow thingy round and the sucky up thingy first.

Gem - I'm sure the party for DD3 and OH will be a mixture of laughs and tears, but make them happy tears. The time will soon pass and they'll be back before you know it. I'm sure OH going away on the golf jolly won't help, but you will get through it and we'll all keep you busy! x

Nanto - that was an early visitor! Home your OH can sort out BIL's plumbing.

Oma - you need an easy day today, young lady. The dark oak wounds nice, and I'm sure you're pleased with how it looks.

Mimi - you can be a good girl when you want! (I think!!! xx)

Plant - I hope you can have your bone-strengthening injection next week. Not too long now until you get your car. How disappointing about your flowers.

Avo - I bet Portugal is lovely at this time of the year when everything is still fresh and green.

I like Clover's multi-prong attack on the slug war. I don't put pellets down because of Eva and the various wildlife we get in our garden. I've given up trying to grow slug-feasts like lettuce, hostas, delphiniums etc.

A sunny start here in Wales.

Oma I hope you take it easy today and enjoy seeing DS and children when (and if hopefully) they come.

As usual a walk for us this morning . I’ve got the slow cooker on the go so not a lot to do cooking wise today.

Because I can't get to a garden center, I ordered some geranium plants from Jersey plants direct expecting them to be small sturdy plants but when they arrived they are tall straggly plants, have put them out but not very hopeful.

Oma have a rest today and enjoy spending time with your son and GC.

I must say in OH's defence that her golf trip with her friends was booked long before DD and SIL had their travel date, and possibly before we even knew it was on the cards. It is bad timing, but that's just the way it is!

Plant, take photos of the plants and email Jersey Flowers. You need a refund or replacement plants.

After a dreadful night where I was awake most of the time worrying, it’s a beautiful morning. We went out so that DH could look at getting a new iPad and he is busy now downloading stuff he wants to keep. Enjoyed a nice FaceTime chat with DS yesterday, it’s at times like this that we really miss them, I really need one of his hugs. We have come to realise that , unless they come home for a visit, we won’t see them again 🙁.

DGD posted some pics on her Facebook travel page of her first day in Tahiti, it looks wonderful. She would have been coming home after this visit but has now decided to stay for a year, another 🙁. But we are so pleased she is enjoying her travels and making wonderful memories for herself.

I am going to have a lazy afternoon and I expect DH will be playing with his new toy 😀. Will definately be having wine with lunch 🍷

Gem, your DD will soon be back home with some wonderful stories to tell you x

Enfys, it's in the wee small hours when all your worries seem at their worst. I'm sorry you had such a bad night, but it sounds as though P is keeping busy and doing positive things. That is very good. Stay strong - and remember we're here anytime you want us. Sending you big hugs. xxx

Well DS turned up at 10.45 and they have just left
My house looks like a mini tornado has hit but its worth it ,
Lunch was a lovely family time around the table , Sausage rolls chips and beans were asked for so that's what they got and tinned fruit and ice cream for afters , they ate every bit

GD asked if she could sleep over and I had to tell her that she could but Mammy would say no , she said it wasn't fair and I had to agree but said when she was older and could make her own mind up she could then ,
GS2 told us all about Cubs and his badges and could I sew them onto his uniform as Mam was rubbish at sewing so have told him to bring them over and I will do them

Going to have a cup of tea then tackle the mess and the finger marks all over my glass tables
