Pleased to see that the good hospital results have continued!
We went to buy a radiator for the kitchen. Got one which is vertical and looks like planks instead of a plain old horizontal one! Then Oh suggested going for a drive and we stopped at Costa and had a coffee and a slice of cake! Took the long way home only to find road closed, so did a detour round the Fens! Wouldn't like to live out there in the middle of nowhere.
Need to get on and use that hot hissy thing before we run out of clothes!
Aggie lovely to hear from you, hope t'internet stays connected!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Libra, your family will really appreciate your sterling work. I hope you don't tire yourself out with all the cleaning and travelling. It is a pity the other gran isn't pulling her weight.
        Aggie good to see you!
I'm glad all was OK at the hospital Oma, and Enfys! I hope B's mouth is less sore soon.
I hope you do see GGS, Plant.

All well with mum, she seems a fair bit more cheerful than last week.
I did half the minutes this morning, I will try to finish them tomorrow morning. I have various other jobs to do also, who knew how much work a secretary has to do - not me!!!!

That's good news - two more 'good' hospital appointments. Oma - you won't know what to do with yourselves with no hospitals for a month. Enfys - so pleased to hear P got a gold star, and you both enjoyed your lunch out.

Mimi - you can have a gold star, too, but don't go getting ideas about going over to the Bleach Babes!

Libra - you must be worn out, what with the worry, the travelling and caring for the family. Please take it a bit easier before you make yourself poorly. The girls are old enough to help a bit as well. I was talking to a friend at lunch-time and she said she had to drink a similar amount when she had a kidney removed. She said it was really hard.

Aggie - hello. I'm pleased to hear you're ok and it's only BT keeping offline. Fingers crossed it will be ok now.

Wee Granny - you may not have got a radiator, but cake's always good! I love living in the country, but I wouldn't like to be that isolated. Put that hot hissy thing down before it attacks you! I waved ours round for about half and hour this morning, and then I got sensible and went out to lunch!

Gem - it's good to hear your mum is feeling a bit more cheerful. Most voluntary organisations make a lot of work for both the Secretary and the Treasurer! Well done you for putting in all that work when you already have a busy life.

My lunch out was very nice. We met at the golf club and I think half the population of southern England was there - even the overflow car park was almost full. But with all the awful weather nobody's been able to play, but yesterday and today have been quite nice and the course had dried out a bit. When it's that busy the club house is usually full, but everyone was out on the various courses today, and we had a nice quiet table to ourselves.

There were only 4 of us today - sometimes there's 10 or 12. We were very upset to find out that the newest lady to join us had had a stroke on Saturday. She's one of these lovely motherly people who can never say 'no', and with 5 grandchildren living locally she gets called on to do all sorts of things to help, as well as being involved with other things as well. It's quite a minor stroke but the doctor at the hospital said it's a 'wake up' call for her to slow down a bit. I hope she takes notice.

Three of us had very yummy broccoli and stilton soup (see our halos!) The food's always good - made from scratch on the premises. I was going to call in on DS2 and DIL on the way home, but it had gone very cold, and I was tired after all this socialising, so I came straight home. Then I spent the rest of the afternoon portioning up food for Eva. I like to do it in batches rather than day by day, and she's now got a nice varied diet ready for the next two weeks or so!

Tomorrow is likely to be 'catch up with the chores' day. Unfortunately I can't ignore all the mud on the kitchen floor any longer - it's such a big job to clean it I keep putting it off!

Daisy, your lunch out sounds lovely. Sad about your friend having a stroke.
Hope she makes a full/speedy recovery.

Gem,pleased your mum is feeling brighter.

              Off to in laws later.

                Good morning all.

Now hang on a cotton picking moment Daisy.... If you have earned a halo for eating broccoli and stilton soup I think I should have one for mopping the kitchen floor yesterday ! 😉

Libra don’t go tiring yourself out, I know you have a lot going on at the moment but you must pace yourself. I would have thought that the other gran could step up and help lighten the load .

Aggie it’s good to see you have got your internet back and you are back on here.

Not a lot planned for today, Tesco delivery this morning then popping to the library this afternoon to see if the book I have ordered has come in. It’s a Dummies guide to Microsoft Office 16 .For years I have been used to an older version of Office and this new up dated, all singing, all dancing version is confusing me a bit so I thought I would , with the help of the book find my way around it .

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you have planned
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                    Good morning, ladies.

It's bright and sunny here - at the moment!

Mimi - Yes, of course you can have a halo for mopping your kitchen floor - but in that case, I'll need another one, because I'm going to clean our kitchen floor today. So this all hangs on whether you have broccoli and stilton soup for lunch today!!!! Good luck with the guide to MS Office. From looking at OH's new computer, it seems they've dumbed down Office - supposedly made it easier, but not for people like us who are used to the older versions.

Nanto - thank you for your kind wishes to my friend.

It rained over night, but I'm hoping it will dry up so I can do a few jobs in the garden later, in the meantime, I'm ondemed to the mop, the sucky-up thingy and the hot hissy thing!

                      Good morning everyone.

Yes indeed you should have a halo for mopping, Mimi!
Daisy, I'm glad you had a nice time with your friends. I hope the lady who had the stroke recovers well and slows down a little!
Good old fish and chip day Nan2!

Today, as we had GS2 on Wednesday, we have a free day. We are going to friends for coffee this afternoon. We are all busy, and overdue to catch up!
More 'office work', as in minutes this morning.

                      HAPPY FRIDAY, everyone
