Good morning everyone. Grauntie - don't cancel the order for the Ark yet - it's raining here - again!!! - and is dark and dismal. It looks and feels like late November.

I am going for my annual blood test at the hospital this morning - it's a drop in service, so I hope the rain will stop the crowds from gathering there!! Then back to try and get things ship shape in the house before the week-end. I've no idea what's happening yet, except we'll be having Cooper the puppy tomorrow, overnight and Saturday while DS2 and family move house. DS1 may come down and help, so he'll stay with us too, and if DIL1 doesn't come, he will probably bring one of the GSs. So I need to sort out both bedrooms and run the sucky up thing round - it's hard to do things like that with Cooper offering his version of 'help'!!! Bless him.

Eeeeek - we need that Ark - the rains just moved up in to 'torrential' gear. I hope the roads out of the village aren't too flooded.

      Good morning all.

It is a bright sunny one here.

Libra, I hope you are gathering your strength for the GDs breaking up!
Plant, I hope your GS is able to meet you and walk you to the hotel, how nice of him!
Oma the play was really good. It is always a treat to see GC perform, isn't it?

OH's 6 monthly hospital appointment this morning. It should have been March 1st, but they cancelled that one, we couldn't make the one they gave her to replace it, and this was the next available.
This afternoon I must do my mum's shopping then visit my sister and take her Easter eggs. Once again mum isn't going with me. I will go to mums with her shopping on the way back from seeing my sister.

      Have a good day everyone.

Sunshine atm off to aqua this morning, nothing planned for the rest of the day, too wet to garden. Yes I do have four kind GS's, I did look after GS2 and GS3 when they were babies.

It does seem a long time for your DD Enfys but time does certainly fly.

Good luck to those having medical check-ups and Grauntie, hope the magic cream is working, sorry I didn't get around to making my move on Word.

Hope Cooper's family have some fine weather for their move.

Hope there is some better news from Libra today.

                Morning ladies.

Going to be a long day for us as family arriving for three nights but not until after midnight as SIL won’t be home till after 7 and then they have to face packing the car and a 4 + hour journey.
I must go out to post parcel for my sister’s birthday. It isn’t until the end of next weeek but being Easter I want to make sure it gets there in good time.
I have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon for a new batch of prescriptions . Sometimes they give me 3 months worth or arrange a 6 months delivery to the pharmacy.

Gem I hope OH’s appointment goes well .
GM I’m pleased your health scare was just that but you must feel drained. Take time to get over it.

Whatever the day holds I hope you enjoy it.

Good morning all. Not sure if I am going to need one of these today or a pair of these as the weather can't seem to make up its mind what it wants to do .

Gem hope OH's appointment goes well.

Enfys I know you were looking forward to seeing DGD but as you know time flies by so fast and this year will pass in a blink of an eye .

Daisy hope the blood test goes well.

                    Clover enjoy your visitors

Not sure what I am going to do today , at the moment I am waiting for the plumber to arrive so I will see what the mood takes me when he has been and gone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Fitter has cleared the back patio of rubbish. He's been replaced by the plasterers then kitchen arrives on Tuesday! Guttering/soffits being taken down and replaced as I write but they don't seem to be in too much of a hurry and they've only done the garage and they've got the house to do! If the promised rain comes on this afternoon that'll be them done for the day.

The play was very good with only a couple of the main characters getting stage fright! Was the Pied Piper with lots of music! It was nice to be part of the audience and not be running around backstage like a headless chook!

Hope all those with hospital/doctor's appointments get good results.

That's two nights of no cooking, fish and chips and Chinese. Maybe a ready meal tonight. Going out for Sunday lunch, so that'll be good. I'll need to stock up on tea, coffee and biscuits next week. We seem to be going through quite a lot of them at the moment! Biscuits too handy to resist as I make my way through the maze of kitchen bits and pieces!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies!

Afternoon ladies, hope all appointments go well for those having them. I have changed all the beds, done 2 huge loads of washing. Cleared and cleaned their under sink cupboard, what a ruddy mess it was in 😞 SIL off today as girls finish at 2.30 today. He will take them in to see Mum as Menna especially has been difficult and struggling without Mummy. The nurse is going to have a chat with both girls to put their minds at rest. We can now take DD to the hospital cafeteria for coffee and cake, but have to note down how much she drinks . Fingers crossed 1 more week and she will get to rehab, another battery of tests to be done first. Well better get back to it, bedding is dry and ready for ironing 😫 fish pie and veggies for dinner and I made banana cake for afters, they will enjoy that with custard .

All good for OH at the hospital Signed off for another 6 months, unless anything to concern her then as usual the advice is go straight ,away don't wait for the appointment.
I have been quite worried about my mum, and DD1 regarding GS1, so to have this mentally ticked off the Worry List is good!

Make the most of not having to cook WG
Clover, you will need matchsticks to stay awake! How lovely that they are coming though.

Gem - as always, it's great to know OH's check up went so well. I know you get a bit worried beforehand, but it so worth doing. There's not much we can do about our grandchildren/their parents relationships, so you could cross that one off your Worry List too. Also, you do everything you possibly can for your mum, and sometimes you can only do that with her co-operation which isn't always forthcoming. So perhaps you could put that worry in smaller letters so you don't notice it so much.

Clover - I do hope the family has a good journey and the roads aren't too busy. You must be so looking forward to seeing them all. xx

Libra Gran - slow down, love. You're doing a fantastic job just being there and looking after the family. I hope the nurse can reassure both girls and answer any questions they have. It's great that DD can come with you for coffee and cake - it must get rather boring on the ward all the time.

WG - If you get to enjoy the takeaways and eating out, you might not want to use your new kitchen! I hope the work is going smoothly. Plastering's horrible though. I still keep finding an odd tiny pink plaster splash in our kitchen from when we had the Velux windows put in last year! <hangs head in shame>

Mimi - no problems which we need here - you keep the sunglasses, we've got repeated heavy downpours of rain. I needed wellies to walk down the path to the compost bin a few minutes ago and the garlic cloves I potted up a week or so ago are drowning - I've had to move them into the greenhouse, but there also puddles of water in there!

Blood test done and dusted - eventually. I thought the awful weather would keep people indoors. Well it did - indoors at the hospital. I had to wait over an hour - I'm usually in and out in less then 15 minutes. Both journeys across the car park were in heavy rain, trying to avoid the worst of the flooded areas. Then it was just as bad when I came out. So that was the morning written off!

This afternoon I'm doing my "pretend to be a Bleach Babe" impersonation, cleaning the bedrooms and making up beds ready for the week-end. I've just stopped for a quick cup of tea, so back to the salt mines, now!!!

Afternoon ladies a busy day I will try catch up with everyone , sorry if I don't reply to all I'm not ignoring you I have read everything though
Been shopping then had to go pick up a parcel , from there we came home had a bite of lunch then set too pulling stair carpet up and underlay ready for SIL to re lay tonight ,
Popped to local tip with all the carpet filled bags and every man and his dog were there waited almost 1 hour in the queue
Back home we decided we would take the long footstool legs off to sand down and re varnish they are or were dark I wanted them light ,
SIL finished putting new underlay and carpet down so then had to hoover stairs and landing and bedrooms then dust everywhere , Little fibres from carpets get everywhere .
Im not fat just 6ft too small
