DD has just popped in, feeling very devastated. She spoke to DGD today who is in Australia and she told her Mum that she has decided to stay on until the end of the year! She was going to come home in July but has a visa for a year and is having such a good time she is staying for another 6 months. We can understand why she wants to do that but still both feel so upset that we won’t she for for such a long time. This year is turning out to be pants!!!!

Oh dear Enfys I can see both sides, it is the adventure of a lifetime and she IS enjoying life but on the other hand yes devastating for those left at home, it’s no concolation at the moment but the year will pass and you will get used to the idea, your DD in time will be proud she aloud her DD to go on this trip , easy to say though it’s not my g/d I too would be gutted but today I’ve got my logic head on , now yesterday was a different matter 🙄

Turning up like the proverbial penny so enjoyed the film glad I let you talk me into it, and OH enjoyed it too, lots of laughs and a few trembling lips, my feet were tapping to the music Oh that life was that idyllic we can’t all go off and do the things some of these ladies did but we can fake some of the ideas and make them our own , now where is the nearest open water for swimming !

I know you’re right, Qwerty, but at the moment it’s hard and poor DD is inconsolable. poor DGD was so worried about telling her Mum but she also said how much she missed us all too. So much has been going on and now this! Hey ho, that’s life, I’m on the 🍷!

                Good evening each!
Been absent for a while due to a health blip. I had an appointment at the hospital first thing today and I am pleased to say all is ok! The result of this is I am now exhausted because I have stopped worrying, having been exhausted with worry! Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow. I have been reading the posts but not able to think of anything much to say.
Back tomorrow in a happier frame of mind.😬

Good evening, trying to catch up a bit.

GM,good to hear all was well.

Enfys, not good that you won't see GD till the end of the year.
At least you know GD is having a good time.

Oma, hope the new pill works.
Avo,pleased you had a nice time.

Going to have to do more catching up tomorrow.

GM - I wondered where you were. But I'm glad you're back on here with good news, apart from being exhausted with worrying. Sleep well tonight. xx

Enfys -I'm sure when your DD gets over the shock and disappointment she'll reflect on the fact that they have brought up a confident and caring daughter. Six months seems like a long time now, but it will pass, and just think about the excitement for all of you when she comes home. Start planning the celebration for her.

Avo - what a wonderful week-end. Glad you all enjoyed it.

Qwerty - you needed that day out after having the twins yesterday. It sounds as though you've made a decision about moving - or not, in your case. Your neighbours from hell won't be there for ever, and you can always plant a prickly hedge - something like Pyracantha to keep them at bay. I think a downstairs loo will make all the difference!

Libra - try to take things a bit easier - you sound exhausted and well as worrying about your DD. Sending hugs. xxx

Wee Granny - how was the school play. I bet a bunch of Year 3s and 4s is more peaceful than home at present. How long will the work take?

Gem - are you feeling relaxed and chilled out after your reflexology session?

                      Good evening 😊

                      Grauntie, phew!!
Enfys, I can understand how your DD is feeling. My DD, my youngest, is going to Canada for 6 to 8 months. I will be very upset if they decide to stay longer.
Avo, that sounds a lovely break!
Qwerty, I'm glad you enjoyed the film.

We really enjoyed GD's school play 'The Peace Child.. We then went back to DD's to spend time with both GC before bed. On the way home we picked up fish and chips, as it was late to begin cooking.

My GS3 who home from Birmingham Uni. came round to size up a job he is going to do for me. I was still trying to get my Audible app to load having been in conversation with a man from God knows where to load it, well he messed around, well it seemed like that, and lol and behold he loaded it. He said if he hasn't got a lecture when I come to Bham he will meet me at Moor St. and walk me to the hotel

I have an appointment with the Clinique lady to see how the miracle cream is working! 😂 OH says my skin looks better though, so if I say how thrilled I am I might get another bag of mini freebies.
Have the best day you possibly can ladies.

Good morning, it’s been pouring with rain all night and still is! Chilly too.

Yesterday DH announced he wants to go and buy a new jumper!!! I nearly fainted, he never ever says that, it’s always me who decides it’s about time he had something new. So,we are off to the shops and having lunch out. Mind you, I will have to vet his choice otherwise goodness knows what he will buy but it’s a first!

Had a bit of news yesterday and have posted in YEO so feeling a bit out of sorts today Have a nice day everyone, don’t get too wet ☔️
