Been in bed since Saturday. Just managed my Plastics app't yesterday. Eyelid droop not quite enough to need an op'n. If it worsens I need to go back. So sorry to read about everyone's poorly people. Relieved the twinnies are ok Qwerty. Thinking of you all.

Solved the petrol problem - OH went and filled it up, but I did cook him a very nice, light turkey stirfry with sweet peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic and a good splash of lime juice. A bit of salad and some egg noodles - it all looked colourful and healthy and he managed to eat it.

Oma - your poor DD, she must be feeling really poorly. I do hope you and B don't get it. When it went through DS2's family before Christmas they all got it except GD1. We don't know how she escaped it but she did!! You're very naughty wanting to send B to the baby clinic for his injections!!! Be careful - they might want to top yours up at the same time - just in case!!!

Qwerty - so glad the twinnies were ok - I bet they enjoyed their hot chocolate. Enjoy your pampering tomorrow. At least the weather won't ruin your nails! How is your OH now?

LG - definitely a day to stay indoors, wasn't it! I hope the other sofa arrives tomorrow, or you, OH and the dogs are going to be very cosy!

It must be something in the air - everybody decorating the bathroom. Qwerty - your bathroom sounds very glamorous! Nanto and Qwerty - we will need pics when the job's done.

Nana - I'm so sorry to hear you aren't very well, but it must be a relief to know that you haven't got to face an operation just at the moment.

Zizi - Many thanks - I'd forgotten all about Elmlea! I used to use it years ago when the boys were at home, but I think you're right - it's not dairy. Ahhh, <in my Cinderella voice> perhaps I CAN go to the mushroom soup party after all!

          Good morning all.

I had to give in and take a sleeping pill last night after 3 nights of not sleeping.I worked out that in a 72 hour period I had about 5 hours sleep . Apparently there was a nasty thunderstorm last night and I never heard a thing!

How is evryone one and their OH’s ,
i hope everyone is finally on the mend. It hasn’t been the best start to the new year has it

Up very early again today. Man coming to do the floor. Not happy with the husband as not only am I left to clear the bedroom of the fold up beds (fine I said I would do it) but woke up at 5.30 and realised the dismantled bedstead was still in there along with the mattress and a huge mirror. Managed to get bedstead into sitting room but mirror is too heavy for me move and I just cannot find anywhere to put the mattress. Sitting room is a complete tip, Hall has stuff all over it, little bedroom is chocka. If I had broken my nails doing that removing stuff he would be in more trouble than he already is. I think he thinks I am bruddy superwoman or something - oh yes I am I did some hot flat hissy stuff yesterday........

Aha...IRONING! Now I am an IRONING fan. I like nothing better than a good play on catch-up radio and a pile of IRONING. This is my plan for today, but I only have 10 minutes worth of IRONING. Feel free to bring me yours.

                  Good morning everyone.

Nana , I'm sorry to hear you have been laid up, take it easy as Oma says!
Hoping Enfys finds OH brighter today.
I'm glad you slept Mimi. You must have been so tired.

Right Grauntie, I'll be over soon with the ironing

Feel better all poorly people and families, and no more falling ill please!!

This morning the carpet people are coming back. We are not happy with the area in front of the hearth. The middle bit isn't right, so they are coming back and putting some more underlay there - or something!
Tesco delivery this morning too. I have added my mums shopping , so I don't have to go to Tesco on the way to hers this week, just pop into Wilko.
We were going to see my sister today, but there is a meeting this afternoon, at the time we would usually go. As my mum doesn't do mornings, and I don't want to drive back in the teatime traffic, we will go next week instead. Just a normal Thursday afternoon today, taking mums shopping and visiting her.

                  Have a good day everyone.

                    Morning ladies ,

Nanto that is so pretty love the colours it will look amazing up

Gem best to get carpet sorted now or you will never be happy with it ,

Mimi sometimes you have to take drastic measures to get some rest ,

Zizi that's the trouble with small homes no where to put anything , I'm sure the floor layer will help moving the mirror ,

GM I hate ironing that's why I do mine as soon as they are dry gets them out of the way fast

Well we off to pick MIL up soon 2nd attempt to look at carpets , at least its not snowing today and fairly calm ( she wont go out in the wind either )

Morning everyone. Hope you'll all get done what you're planning to do. Ages back I said I was going to iron. It's been there since the end of November I think. Grauntie I wish I knew where you lived😉

Thanks for your get well wishes. I need to be better for Sunday tho' as DD is relying on us to help her with a major job that can't be put off.

Carpet man been it looks better. Tesco man been, all put away. I have done some housework too. It's only just after 11a,m. I feel like Oma

Unpacking the shopping , OH noticed cat litter. We have cats, but a cat door and all go outside so we don't buy litter. I then noticed 3 bottles of wine on the counter which she had taken in. No wine on our order. We called the delivery man back before he brought any more boxes. It was someone else's order! Ours was on the van, so no problem. We should have kept the wine

Well we took MIL to choose a carpet , she chose one almost instantly had the measurements that SIL did went to pay , guy asked if we needed fitting service said no as SIL would do it ,
He asked who SIL was told him his name and he knew SIL well so took £50 off the price of the carpet , MIL was thrilled

We then went around a few more shops and I ended up buying two new White Bedside drawers that I didn't intend buying but were in the sale for £39.99 each so a bargain
Came home and I made sandwiches for lunch and I think I have managed to persuade her to look for new sofas and new curtains , she keeps saying shes on borrowed time and might not get much use out of them

Took her to Morrisons then dropped her off home she seemed happy with her day and didn't moan once , result hahaha
