It has snowed on and off all morning, but the sun is bright and the roads seem clear.

I agree Mimi and Libra , countries which get proper snow, which lasts for months, laugh at us here, all coming to a standstill over an inch of snow.
In our defence though we are not geared up for it here. Roads are never cleared or gritted, we don't have snow tyres, and because we don't get practice, people like me it paralysed with fear by driving in the snow

Keeps snowing off and on here, but plenty of sunshine.
I went to the post office this morning(it's inside a Nisa shop) and i noticed the bread and cake shelves were empty.

Later,we went to the CO-OP, to take a parcel for Hermes to collect.
They had plenty of bread and milk, but i only bought a packet of hot cross buns.

Very sunny still, not expecting much snow today, orange warning for Thursday and Friday. I have managed to find shoes for the wedding so I am complete, bought a black pair of sensible shoes as well, 20% off sale price. We are lucky to still have this independent shoe shop within easy reach.

Keep safe if you need to go out.

Plant, so pleased you have found your wedding shoes. Are th3y comfortable?

Enfys, you certainly deserved that good sleep after all the worries of the last few months.

We we had one tiny flurry of snow. Bundled GD2 into coat and wellies and out into the garden. She’s never seen snow for real before. There was just time to make 2 minuscule snowballs to throw at Grandma before she fell over and cried because or sore hands, knees mad3 worse by being really cold. So we went in. I bundled her up in a cosy throw and made her hot chocolate. Smiles soon reinstated. 😉.

Good morning, and it's snowing again.
It's bin day today, and i've known us have less snow than now,and the bin men didn't come.
No surprise if they don't come today.

Plant, pleased you got your wedding shoes. You're all set now aren't you.

There you go, a promise of summer . Thought it would make a change from the snowy scene outside the majority of out windows this morning. A bit of sunshine to cheer us up.

Good morning one and all. I hope you are all well.

Dasiy bundled up in a cosy throw sounds wonderful . GD2 would have been so warm and snuggly.

I finally gave in and brought a new laptop yesterday so my old slow desktop is now in semi retirement till the new pc arrives. I even treated myself to a new wireless printer so now I have the task of getting rid of my old pc, desk and printer.
Because I will no longer need to the pc desk it will make a lot more space in the spare room so I can’t wait to rearrange the room . I am going to by a new rug to make the room less like an office. OH can’t understand the connection between a new laptop and a rug. Men ! They haven’t a clue have they ?

Hope our ladies struggling with heavy snow in their areas are keeping warm and safe.
We have had just enough to cover the ground here but Friday promises to be bad. Apparently storm Emma is on her way and she is going to make her present felt.It can only add to the misery of the horrible weather we are having at the moment.

Plant what are your new shoes like . The last independent shoe shop here closed a few months ago . We just have one or two big names of quality shoe shops and too many cheap and cheerful ones, you know the sort. You buy a pair of shoes for £15 and not only do they fall apart after a few times of wearing but they cripple your feet into the bargain!

              Keep warn today ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Goodness Oma, can’t imagine that! Keep warm and stay in. A very light sprinkling here, just enough to make the cars white. Sunny too so it won’t last long, we might pop out later in case the forecasted snow tomorrow hits us. Stay safe everyone 🌞

                        Good morning all.

Lots of snow here and I read on FB several local schools are closed. Fortunately I do not have to drive anywhere today. We are thinking of going to the railway museum to see Tim Peake's capsule while it is here. OH will drive. Her golf competition today is of course cancelled. The ball would be lost in all the snow

Mimi, that summery picture is most welcome!
I'm glad you are well stocked up Oma (although I can envisage a napkin shortage!) Being snowed in with a good cook is no bad thing
I hate snow too Grauntie, it messes up our plans.
Plant, well done of getting the shoes!
I wonder if the bin men will make ir Nan2? We have a Tesco delivery due between 10 and 11.

                        Keep warm and safe everyone!

Edited to say we just had local radio on and 176 schools in the York and district area are closed. I didn't hear either of my GC's schools mentioned though.

Morning all no snow here, just a very heavy frost. Supposed to hit us tomorrow, hubs is off to Tesco to get extra milk and bread. Speaking to SIL last night and they don't have snow either. Shame as T and M would love it. I am not venturing out today, put my nose out the door and that was enough. 😂 Will have to go and knock ice off the birds water, and hang out the fat balls I made yesterday. Keep warm, keep safe especially if you must go out. 🐣🐥

                            Good morning everyone!

LG - we must be on the very edge of the snow line. The quick flurry we had at DS2's yesterday was about half the amount we had at home (8 miles east) and this morning everywhere looks like the top of a Victoria sponge sprinkled with icing sugar!! The sun's shining but it's sub-zero outside. Now, Oma, that's what I call real snow - enough to keep a large dog happy all day!!! Eva was channelling her Labrador genes in the cold this morning - bouncing about all over the place. I just hope DS1 can get back from Denmark ok today. It's DIL1's 50th birthday party on Sunday, and he's organising it - or not if he's still in Denmark!!!

Mimi - how exciting, a new laptop, printer and rug!!! No, men don't get connections like those! If you get snowed in, I'm just trying to picture what you could make with two onions and cat food, but at least your hands would be nice and soft.

Gem - yes, OH would have a bit of trouble playing golf in the snow!!! I hope your roads are ok.

GM - did you do any sewing yesterday?

Oma - I hope B gets to the baby clinic for his jabs ok on Friday.

Clover - I bet you enjoyed your coffee yesterday morning after that chilly walk.

The cold yesterday got to me. I find it very hard to cope with, especially looking after GD2 and Cooper at their house. Their 'back door' is french windows into the garden, so every time Cooper wanted to go out the living room temperature plummeted, and he was a little monkey, asking to go out every few minutes. I was quite glad we couldn't go to dog training last night (Eva's still officially infectious, although she's stopped coughing and finished her ABs).

No plans for me today! OH is going to a friend's for a wood turning session - I'd rather him than me, although he says there's a big heater in the friend's workshop!

Take care in the snow, ladies. Anyone going out to make a snowman?
