Qwerty, that is EXACTLY what I say! So much easier to request time off work to go away, than now when I have to let 2 DDs know, plus make arrangements for someone to be about for mum (not to mention catsitters!)

The sun is shining, no frost!
My mum is going to see her oldest friend today. I truly hope she doesn't develop a 'tummy bug' and cancel again. Not only is it very disappointing to her friend, mum needs to spend time away from home and with someone other than me. Fingers crossed. I have my sisters and DD1's birthdays coming up, so I will do some shopping for those while mum is at her friends house.
Tonight I am going to the cinema to see a live screening of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, streamed from the National Theatre. I booked it weeks ago, and almost forgot it was this week!

I have emptied all my kitchen cupboards this morning , washed the shelves down and re arranged everything , then I did under the stairs and the cupboard I keep all my cleaning stuff and ladders in ,
Another bag of rubbish we have horded to throw out

Good morning, ladies. It's bright and sunny here, but a bit chilly.

I woke about 7 am, thinking I'd get up straight away and get a good start on the day. Then I looked again and it was 8.15!! I don't know what happened.

Oma - I hope B is sitting on the edge of his bed with his things packed up - and your screen saver is safe!

Qwerty - I always feel guilty if I have time off, too. That's partly why we got the caravan because we can go away Wednesday to Sunday any time we want. It will be easier for both of us when our youngest ones start school.

Gem - you must have to plan time off like a military operation. I don't envy you. I hope all goes well with your mum today - enjoy your live screening tonight.

GM - spending time in the garden before a funeral is good - it puts things into perspective a bit.

I'm goint out for lunch today - the first time this year with illness and everything. I'm meeting friends from College at the Golf Club and if the sun stays out it will be gorgeous - lovely views over to the Isle of Wight. I'm giving one friend a lift but we never know how many will turn up on the day - so it's a nice surprise, and so long since I've seen them with missing the January get together.

OMG Oma all that and it's not even 9am. Fingers crossed B gets out today. I am feeling a bit lazy today as I did so much yesterday. On the plus side it is 🌞 and dry here, best get moving and put a wash on. Have a good day everyone 😀😁

Daisy,have a good time when out for lunch.
Kitchen cleaning today. Worktops and unit cleaned.
Just charging the window vac,then i can do the windows.
Then,going to clean the floor.

Dinner today is cheesy mash,southern fried chicken,cabbage and carrots. oh and gravy.

B rang at first the new Dr on duty said another day in but he said no Consultant said yesterday was last day , so she said ok and we will see you in clinic on Monday ,
Just has to wait for discharge and meds , although they can take all day at least he knows he's coming home ,

OH is not a happy bunny about the car. The garage she bought ti from never phoned her back yesterday, as they had promised to. She rang them this morning. To cut a long story short. The salesman who she dealt with when buying the car left not long afterwards. The garage have looked at her records and insist the unlocking device was there when it was sold to her. It is their words against OH's. OH is the only one who drives her car, and she is a very careful and organised person. No way if i twas here would it now be missing!
She is over at the garage now. I had to wait in for a Tesco delivery. The delivery was very nice as the delivery man was the father of DD3's best friend at primary school! I haven't seen him for many years, it was good to catch up

OH back from the garage. A nice lady dealt with her and a new unlocking device is ordered and should be at the garage tomorrow. Apparently the wheels were taken off to remove some marks on the tyre, and who ever did it neglected to put the unlocking thing back.

Oma sometimes you have to put your foot down with these Drs. B knows his own body more than anyone and if the consultant is happy for him to come home so be it .

Gem, hope OH gets her car sorted ASAP .

Not having a good day to day with my stupid back. Haven't slept much because I was so uncomfortable . OH keeps saying , take your pain killers which I have but they are very strong and they make me sleepy and now they are giving me heart burn. OH can understand why it isn't a case of take a pill and lie down and go to sleep. If I lie down my back hurts and I get dreadful heartburn . If I prop myself up in bed the back still hurts but the heart burn is lessened Either was it all ads up to no sleep .

Its very cold outside today although nice and sunny. Going to try and pop to the shop later....that's if I can get my shoes on that is ......
