Very funny Mimi. Just a little sprinkling for us yesterday, very sunny atm but we are bracing ourselves for heavy snow tomorrow, fingers crossed it doesn't happen, must keep an eye on the bird food. Would you believe a squirrel was attacking it yesterday, he should be asleep. It might be sunny but it is very cold. Definitely time to push the stick thing around, no excuses, well I can't think of any.

      Keep safe and warm everyone

Managed to get the back door open without about 2ft of snow falling through into the utility ,
Went to take recycle out to bin and I didn't expect it to be as deep as it was , I sank up to just below my knees , its hard to walk in and still coming down ,

Mimi cat food & Onion to mask the taste would make a nice pie . I Can just imagine the cat looking at you thinking whats she doing with my food !!!!

Mimi - I don't for one minute doubt you!!! Can I call on your creativity if our dog food doesn't get delivered on Saturday? It's delivered from a company in Devon and I've just been talking to the lady there who was really worrying about the weather for their deliveries. I said for goodness sake remember it's only dog food, you shouldn't be out on the roads risking life and limb if it's bad weather. She laughed and said, they (the dogs) will happily eat your Sunday dinners I suppose. That wasn't quite what I had in mind!!!!

Nana - we used to have this trouble with our Yorkies - not just paws and legs in their case! Let them thaw out naturally - if they will lie on a doggy towel in a warm place that's best. Once the ice has melted then you can dry them in whatever way you usually do.

Nanto - that corned beef pie sounds perfect for a cold and snowy day.

Qwerty - has your appointment definitely been cancelled, or are the roads too bad for you to get there. Either way, it's so disappointing. I hope you get priority for a new appointment. It sounds as though your day yesterday was as exhausting as mine - but I only had one child and a puppy to deal with!

Hung some washing on the line, it's blowing well, but I fear one sheet may be a little frozen. Spoke to DD this lunchtime just to remind her to change her hrt patch, and to let her know I will be down again weekend of the 10th. Staying for an indefinite time, SIL bless him struggling with work, gir!s and having to cook every evening. His Mother put a postcard in the local shop window, looking for an ironing fairy to lighten the load.

Granny nap in order later, sausage, mash and peas tonight, followed by rice pud.

Qwerty hope they sort you another appointment toot sweet.

Oma please keep that white stuff up North.

LG - I'm sure your DD and family will be delighted and relieved to have your help.

I'm having a very lazy day today and the sun is still shining. It's still below freezing outside, but the greenhouse was 12C when I looked a little while ago.

We have had a slight fall of snow but sun shining again now.

Libra I am sure your help will keep the family going, it must be very difficult for them all especially your SIL trying to do his job.

Been snowing off and on all morning. Typically I had to go into town today, but the buses were running so I used them rather than drive to Park And Ride. Missed the bus back and had to wait an hour so used my voucher for a free drink and cake in John Lewis and had a cappuccino and a piece of Oreo cheesecake....very yummy! Back home now and going nowhere else today even though the sun is shining!
The river is frozen over at the lock down the road. Hope all the people with the bad snowfalls are managing to keep warm.
LG I'm sure your help will be much appreciated by all the family. Will you take the dogs this time?

Qwerty what a disappointment for you.Hope you can get the Botox really soon.
Libra ,not too long to wait till you see DD again and take some of the weight off SIL’s shoulders
Oma ,snow is fine as long as you don’t have to go out. You do feel a bit trapped though.

OH had his diabetic eye check today. We then went on into town for lunch and a quick browse round.Too cold to linger longer,
Came home to find Amazon had delivered a sewing machine bag instead of a garden planter Took a while to sort that little problem out.

We went to the railway museum to see Tim Peake's space capsule. and parachute . Amazing to think where it had been. Once shiny silver it is all burnt looking. Such a small space inside for 3 men.

We had a bit of a look at some of the trains, then we had lunch out. It is snowing again now, and the sky is full of it.

Qwerty, I hope you get a new appointment soon, it must be a pain to have to wait.
