The best new of another busy day for us Grannies has to be Enfys'. I'm so glad it all went smoothly, Enfys and you and OH can now try and enjoy your relaxed Christmas.
Perhaps next year we should have a virtual GransRus Pantomime. I'll put it in a separate thread!
My day didn't go to plan. The GDs should have been with their other Gran today, but when DS2 took them to her house she was still in bed and not well. This was the last trading day for the shop today and they knew it was going to be extra busy, so DIL left them with the other Gran, saying she'd get the other Grandad (they are divorced) to come and collect them and take them back home for the day. I assumed that had happened, so rang DS2 to say would it be ok to take some dog food over to their house rather than drop it off at the shop where it would defrost. Yes, fine, he said. But when I got there the house was empty, so I popped the food in the freezer and decided I'd better call in to the shop and see if everything was ok. There was a queue outside the door! DS2 and DIL were run off their feet and Cooper was howling in his crate. So I took him out for a walk and he still wouldn't settle - too much going on with people laughing and chatting (it's a very social shop!) and DS and DIL run off their feet. So I spent the rest of the day dog sitting and washing up a sinkful of cups etc. So I neatly avoided having to use the sucky up thingy, and do the ironing. Unfortunately, both jobs are still waiting for me!
