Glam pleased you’re pleased with your new carpets.

Plant a new car sounds a lovely idea.

Nanto I’m glad you managed a nice afternoon with your friends.

Thank you all for your reassurances about my hospital visit.I’m hoping to be able to put it away in the “box”.

Clover - yes, "the box" is a good idea - and close that lid down firmly.

Nanto - it sounds as though your friend is doing well and hopefully the reconstruction can go ahead as planned.

Plant - How lovely to have a new car. We've only once had a brand new car - not long after we were married. OH has had new company cars at different times, but they were never 'ours'. I had a min when our sons were quite young. One day OH complained that it was making a funny noise when he went round corners. I hadn't noticed anything wrong, so we went out to check it out. Every time we went round a bend OH said "There! That's it. You must be able to hear that!" Err, no I couldn't. Then, the penny dropped. He was listening to the boys' toy cars scooting from one side of the parcel shelf to the other!!

Gem, thank goodness your carpet fitters arrived. I'm sure they did a better job with biscuits than they would have done without. Are you pleased with it?

LG - I didn't take Eva out till gone 3 o'clock and it wasn't too cold at all. You should see the tumbleweed in our house! Eva sheds everywhere, all the time!

I think Qwerty must still be unpacking her shopping.

I've had a very lazy day today - walked Eva and cooked dinner. I feel much better now.

      Night, night everyone.

Don't think the weather is doing anything, too dark to tell.

Hope anyone feeling under the weather is feeling better soon.

Got diced chicken, leeks and mushrooms in the slow cooker.
Might serve it with mashed potatoes.

Gem, pleased you are happy with new carpets.

Daisy, I remember the tumbleweed when we had a long haired dog.

Will we have to take our shoes off when we visit Gemini?

            Dinner sounds good Nanto.

Back to WW last evening, just to get a few pounds off, don't want to have to buy new clothes. Aqua this morning, that might help but I can see the weekend looming. Had a very quick chat with sil last evening re: Mini, he wonders if the one I have had a quote for has a big enough engine, smaller than my present one. I am going to arrange a test drive at the weekend.

                Good morning.

                Hope hospital goes well Oma.

                Nanto that meal sounds delicious

I had to remember to be on the ball and phone surgery on the dot of 8am to book appointment for G to have review of repeat prescriptions. I start ringing a minute or two before 8 when the answer
phone says the surgery is still closed then just keep redialling until I get an answer Unfortunately our favourite GP is off sick but we’re going to see another one we like. They are all lovely at our surgery anyway.

I have a hairdresser’s appointment this afternoon.I’m badly in need of a cut.The front of my hair is driving me mad .It seems to have gone wild since Christmas. Too much chocolate obviously

                Enjoy your day everyone

                  Good morning everyone.

Nan2, that meal sounds good. Fish pie for us tonight. This week I have planned the menus ahead, which I find helpful. An easy one tonight as they are Tesco Finest fish pies (the only ready meal we regularly buy, and we really like them) Just those to pop in the oven and some veg to prepare.

Plant, OH wants people to take off their shoes because of the new carpet, I'm more free and easy To be fair, most of our friends take of their shoes anyway.

I hope all goes smoothly at the hospital Oma.

I'm sure you will be glad of your haircut Clover, I'm picturing you with a bit of a shaggy dog look

I| will write about yesterday in my journal as it is too long for Chatbox.

I have a meeting at 11.30 this morning, and mums shopping and visiting her this afternoon. She was quite moany and snippy with me on the phone yesterday when she gave me her shopping list, so I hope she is in better mood today!

                  Have a good Thursday, everyone.

                    Good morning, ladies.

Oma - I hope the hospital trip goes well. At least B has only got to 'do' Aldi afterwards, not Ikea!!!

Plant - good for you getting back to WW. You did very well losing weight and it would be a shame to put it back on. I always think it's better to have a larger engine if possible, but I also think they are much more efficient in modern cars. It will be interesting to see how you find the test drive.

Gem - I bet you just keep looking at your new carpet. I do if I have something new in the house. Your eyes are drawn to it.

Clover - a busy day for you. It's awful trying to ring the doctors first thing - as you say you just have to keep redialling until it answers. I'm glad you managed to get an appointment. Now, you can blame chocolate for your hair if you want, but I think chocolate is a cure for most things!!!

Today I'm going to do housework. Yes I am, definitely, for sure - unless something better comes along! It's a horrible grey day so any more oversized cobwebs won't show up!

Have a good day, everyone. xx

Gem_ you've got a busy day, an easy tea is just what you need. Is the weather getting your mum down do you think, or is it fairly 'normal'?

Clover its near to impossible trying to get an answer at out GP's surgery . Phone is constantly engaged for at least 20 mins and then when I do get trough all the appointments are gone, "Try again tomorrow" I am told !

I am pleased to announced that the bird feeder is up......I just need the birds to notice it

Lovely Qwerty I love Pandora but do not have any of their rings yet . Enyfs hope all goes well for your hubby. Gemini I can understand your OH wanted to keep the carpet pristine, especially as its just been laid. I have bought several of those dirt trapper rugs and they are brilliant.Mainly because I have the dogs,I have one by the front door, back door and entrance to the lounge. Chilly today but I got out with both dogs, it wasn't to bad.Tilly is currently whining her head off in her playpen. But I am being firm and trying to ignore her . She has to learn she cannot be attached to me 24/7 or else I can't get on with anything. I have hoovered and hung out some washing, now got to pop to pet shop. Hope all our well.
