Qwerty - what a shame about not wanting the cobweb. I could have sent it along with some of its friends, but if you don't want to give them a good home, I'd better keep them. How awful having to wait so long for your Botox. You must be really fed up about it. Love your Pandora ring, though. I'd love a Pandora bracelet, <sigh>

LG - I was wondering about those dirt trapper mats. If they're that good I ought to get some. I get fed up with cleaning up muddy paw marks and footprints!!

Enfys - thank goodness the biopsy went so smoothly. I hope your OH gets a good sleep tonight and feel ok tomorrow.

Avo - how lovely to be off to the sunshine! Have a wonderful time. xx

Clover - you celebrated your new hairdo with a lovely pudding. I haven't had Apple Brown Betty for years, but it's good comfort food that somehow feels healthy because of the applies! Funnily enough we had rice pudding with apples and cinnamon tonight. The apples were quite tart and they were nice with the rice pudding.

Oma - I'm glad things went well at the hospital for B - wouldn't it be nice to get promoted to 3-monthly appointments! Fingers crossed for the CT scan result. xx

Gem - how lovely that your efforts for the Friends of the Library are being appreciated. I hope the cats have taken notice of you about not being sick on the new carpet. Jut hope they don't choose your bed instead!!!

I didn't get as much done today as I'd hoped (the story of my life!) but I did take Eva out for quite a long walk in the Forest today. Mostly she's getting better on the lead and today she walked really nicely, but when we got home she got the zoomies - frantically racing round the house to let off steam. I'll have to take her to the paddock tomorrow for a good run. I wish I had her energy. I went out quite late and the sun was setting - although it was quite chilly it was very peaceful and quiet and it was a good reminder of why I like living here, despite the inconveniences at times.

            Good morning dear ladies.

I love fish and chip day Nan2

No cooking here either. Tonight is the quiz and meal at OH's golf club. They have these nights each month during winter. They are fun, and of course, a night off cooking! We missed the November one due to being in London that weekend. We missed the December one due to GC being here overnight, so tonight we are going!
GS2 arriving in an hour or so, then GD to collect from school. It seems ages since I looked after these 2.
There are threads on here that I haven't had time to look at properly in the last day or so and won't today. So, tomorrow I will catch up! I'm not ignoring you if you have posted

            Have a good day everyone.

              Good morning everyone.

Nanto - love the graphic. First thing in the morning I go round the house opening all the curtains and love that feeling of light flooding in - even if it's pretty dim and the view is grey and murky at this time of the year!

Today I've got to catch up on the jobs I was too tired to do yesterday. If I feel like it!!! I must give myself a good talking to and get on with it.

Enfys - I hope your OH isn't too sore this morning, although I'm sure he will be feeling a bit tired. Hope you're ok, too. xxx

DH is fine this morning, only a little bit sore but the beginnings of a huge bruise. We both slept well which is good. Thank you all for your kind words.

Ive just got back from having my blood test, remembered not to have anything to eat or drink this morning, so that’s another thing out of the way. We’re having an easy day today, it’s very cold and damp here so a day in the warm will be the best.

Love your ring Qwerty, I have a bracelet and necklace but would like some earrings. Will have to drop some hints before my birthday.

Have a lovely time in Gran Canaria, Avo. A good time of year to,get away.

Pleased to hear the biopsy went well Enfys, I am sure you will feel pleased when it is all over. I hope he is not feeling so sore today. Enjoy your quiet day.
Have a lovely holiday Avo. I quite envy you going off to enjoy some sunshine.
I am feeling very lazy today, joined the wide awake club last night, I think I was thinking about this test drive tomorrow, working out which way to go from the garage. Not too happy about driving a young man either although he is quite dishy, I could drive out into the sunset with him. It is an automatic Qwerty, I wouldn't drive anything else now. Not sure about the colour, quite like the mushroom shade. I wish I could get the family involved but they are all so busy

Brrr what s horrible day , its freezing fog out there and it shows no sign of lifting.

Roads near us have been blocked as it appears that a man has died falling off the river bridge on landing on to the tow path . Not sure if he meant to take his own life . Also yesterday a man was arrested for the murder of a woman . He was run over by a mini bus while running away from the scene of the crime . What a terrible way to start the new year .

Anyway on a brighter note, I have just brought a fitness DVD in an effort to improve my general fitness and mobility. So watch this space

                        Hope everyone is feeling well
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

My goodness Mimi, that is a bad way to start the new year. Very sad. Keep up the exercise, love the green tights and headband.

Cold and damp here, just been to Waitrose, shopping put away so a hug of the radiator will warm me up. Really miss our open fire but I have to accept that I can't manage to have one anymore.

Enfys - pleased to hear that you both slept well and OH isn't too sore. I suppose bruising is inevitable. Glad you got your own blood test over the done with.

Plant - I'm sure the salesman will be more than happy to direct your route on your test drive. But driving off into the sunset with him sounds a good option if he's really fit!! Would your GD get involved with choosing your car with you?

Mimi - what awful things to happen. Good luck with the fitness DVD!

Plant - I agree a radiator is't the same as a fire or woodburner, but it's a lot more convenient, and a hot drink will help to warm you up from the inside.

I've managed a bit more housework but been diverted by various other things, as usual! Losing the will to get back to it now!

Took some time to get on here , our feiends that live opposite we have been friends for 40 yrs, we’ve e been told has terminal cancer we knew he had it but thought he’d got rid of it but apparently they have known since October but didn’t tell anybody. Now he is quite ill he was given 6 mths so we may have little time left now, they were always out with us, invited to our children’s weddings, we went out for a drink together every other week until grandchildren came along of which she has 5 and only the one child. So quite a shock and she doesn’t look too good neither she weighs about 6 st, we’ve been friends watching our children and grandchildren grow up special anniversaries, spent christmases together so sad isn’t it and doesn’t it make you think of your own mortality,
