Chilly again, but at least the sun is shining.Never saw any sun at all yesterday.
I've just reminded hubby that J the hairdresser is coming.
Hubby reminded me that me she came yesterday.
My mind must be somewhere else.
Just put a load of darks in to wash.
Lizzie,pleased the the passed.
Gem, glad you had a nice visit with your mum.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning all.
A big welcome to the sun!
Having had 2 weeks of it in Florida, the return to almost none had a surprisingly negative effect on my mood. Please stay around a while sun!
As you say Nan2, your mind must have been distracted!
I had a full night's sleep as well, having slept badly all week, so today is starting well
I will go into the village this morning for cards and to look for a present for my friend's 60th on Sunday. We have fantastic little independent gift shop (which is impossible to visit even to browse without coming out ££s lighter )
GD and GDS2 from school and back here this afternoon, back to Friday routine. I missed them all this week having spent so much time with them.
Fish and chips for OH and I later as we were thwarted on Monday.
Happy Friday everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma, Mum was very pleased to see me No, there is no point telling her a fact like our holiday. She forgets immediately. She can't remember that DD3 is pregnant until reminded each time. She lives very much in the immediate moment or distant past. She can remember more recent things like going out with us, but only when reminded, and briefly.

Nothing planned today, not sure if GD1 and baby H will come. I might go to garden centre. I also have to return some trousers to M&S Food Hall, I only fetched them yesterday, they are not wearable, the fabric is so heavy, it is like heavy canvas. So disappointed with M&S.
I am not liking the chilly weather this week, I don’t know what to put on in the morning, it is so changeable.
You must be feeling the cold after Florida Gemini. Pleased to hear you managed a good sleep and you had a good visit with your mum.
I am registered with Scrivens for my hearing aids and they provide a good service through the National Health.

Good morning everyone.
After a few dull days and rain overnight, we have SUN! So good to see it again - and it must have been miserable for Gem after 2 weeks in Florida. I think one of the worst things about our climate is so often you don't know what to wear because the weather can go from one extreme to another so quickly.
Plant - I think M&S have totally lost the plot with women's clothes. They've turned their back on their loyal, natural customer base and keep trying to attract fashion-conscious youngsters who would never buy M&S.
Gem - it's good that you've had a proper night's sleep, and you must feel better for it. It sounds as though you are gradually getting back into routine, and it will be lovely to see GCs this afternoon. It must be so hard when your Mum forgets things almost immediately. Does she find it frustrating or doesn't she realise?
Oma - I was wondering how your panelling was going. Nearly finished by the sound of it. Are you pleased with it? We both love our new staircase and it survived all three family dogs on Saturday - not a single nose mark. The same cannot be said for our all-glass back door though! A Border Collie, Eva and a Viszla can cover quite a large area of glass. The glass panels on the living room doors are even worse. I haven't been able to do any painting for a couple of weeks, but I've got my little painting corner back now - all I need is some time.
Is GS1 able to go to school in his car now he's passed his test?
Nanto - I had to laugh at your confusion of the days. I'm always doing things like that. This week a friend of OH's had arranged to come Wednesday afternoon to do some wood turning. He turned up on Tuesday because he thought it was Wednesday and I caught the "wrong day" bug - this morning I woke up wondering why the milk hadn't been delivered. It comes Thursdays and Saturdays!!
I'd better get on with a few jobs - the sucky up thing is looking a bit neglected!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

He said he didn’t know where to put his face ,😁
The panelling is looking good , been some awkward angles to work out but he’s done a lovely job , Got the radiator to take off to do behind as we having a different one put on slow going but worth it xxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Oma - you're right - B has done a lovely job. I bet you can't wait to get it painted and finished off.
Your GS1 is such a lovely lad - so I can imagine how he felt when his classmates clapped! Just remind him - no doing doughnuts round the playing fields!

Oma, the panelling looks really nice, he must be a very handyman!!!
It was the Kings birthday celebrations here on Wednesday, a bank holiday, the schools have 2 weeks holiday so a lot of people take 2 days extra holiday then they have a very long weekend, only, I get my days mixed up. When I went to the garage yesterday they only had half the staff working as the others had taken the days off.
I have just been to visit my friend in the home, she was pleased to see me, in fact she saw me before I saw her. She was sat in the hall talking to one of the staff. One dear lady was looking for her DH, up and down the corridors she went, she tried to escape when someone was leaving, I got her to wait in the hall for her DH!
