Had a sprinkle but we are forecast a noisy and wet night……..Yeh

Plant - I'm sure the old friends you used to meet with would be delighted if you arranged a get together. We had more rain than you - I hope it comes back your way, perhaps overnight?

Oma - I'm glad your doctor was sympathetic, but if she runs out of suggestions and remedies you could ask to be referred to a trichologist. Do you remember the craze for wearing wigs in the late 60s/early 70s?

Lizzie - your neighbour's poor DD must be feeling fed up - three weeks will seem ages to her. Hopefully if the weather cools that will help a little. Isn't it good when you find someone who can do good repairs to something. We (all people, I mean) throw far too much away because there is no-one to do repairs.

WeeGranny - poor doggo. I hope the storm didn't last long. You feel so sorry for them when they are terrified like that. Eva's just the same.

I got some washing done this morning, but had to wait till nearly 5 o'clock to put it out - even when it stopped raining the sky kept clouding over with heavy dark clouds.

My busy social week continues! We're having the GDs tomorrow, but have to get them back home in time for GD2 to go to a birthday party at tea time - it's a visit to the circus, so she's really looking forward to that. On Thursday I'm meeting College friends for lunch - usual place, the golf club. So far the most exciting event on Friday is Sainsbury's delivering!!!

Ha! We in this corner of Essex who have desert conditions (we really do) have been rained upon on and off all day. Storms are forecast tonight and tomorrow and I am so happy. I can’t function in the heat. 😬🥵

Daisy, we have a "repair cafe" once a month, on a Saturday morning, at the place I do the coffee, they have a different theme each month, but, you can go with anything that needs repairing from a cycle to an old clock and all in-between, I even think there is a lady there with a sewing machine to do repairs. It is very popular.

It is still very hot and humid, no rain today but a lot forecast during the night and tomorrow.

I have just been for a drive in my car or the poor thing won't start. I took the main roads, they were busy with it being 6pm but I don't mind that, if and when my operation works I am planning on going somewhere now and again, just for the day now and again.

Nanto, I don't think people get shoes mended like they used to, these are sneakers and the stitching was loose, I do like them as well so wanted to get them repaired. I did try to do it myself but it wasn't working.

Oma, I once lost a lot of hair when I lost some weight long ago, this time it seems fine. I did read that stress, medicine, diet etc can cause hair loss. You will have read all that though!!!

Lizzie, I think there are some similar repair places here in England, but they seem ot be few and far between. And of course what they can repair depends on the 'experts' who volunteer there.

Just stopped raining. It rained quite heavily for about 3 hours last night from 8pm.
                No thunderstorms though.

                No plans for today.

                    Morning all.

                    Have fun in IKEA Oma!

Very wet here, it must have rained a lot overnight. I drove through some rain yesterday afternoon but it soon stopped.
It was nice to see my friend T yesterday. He's quite well but lonely. I am encouraging him to get out a bit more.
I gave DD reflexology had a good chat with her and SIL, and got a baby cuddle I will update on that 'roller-coaster' thread in time. My 3 DDs and I are in deep WhatsApp conversation about it all.

Aqua aerobics this morning, holiday nails this afternoon!

                    Have a good day.

                      Good morning each.
Peace reigns here, OH has gone to golf. Storms predicted from 12pm onwards so I will do shopping soon. First I need to do Scrabble, Wordle and Quordle . I have made enough coffee for that task. 😁
                      Have a good day ladies.

GM, See you on Word, I see you and Anne are waiting for me.

Well we didn’t get the forecasted storm and rain, it was all around us. I have a blood test this morning followed by a lunch at WI. Also the Village Care group are running a weekly games afternoon, the card sort not energetic ones. I might pop in there to see what it is all about unless I get a call from GD1,she is not working today.

Oma, I had a time when I was loosing hair and weight, it was a thyroid problem. Enjoy your shop.

Nanto, I have had so many daddy-long-legs indoors this year, wonder if it was the heat.

I'm having a quiet day today hopefully it sounds so ungrateful but I hope no visitors call as I need a day to myself and just chill out with my Oliver.

Yesterday was busy as I had to give my DGS3 and his partner a lift to Anti-natal for their 1st baby scan the local buses are on strike and taxi's are at a premium at £30 for a round trip so I offered to take them wait then bring them home, all went well and the scan was quite clear even though I looked at it upside down at first !!

My DD has started a new job in the Caring sector she starts her new career on Monday and is just shadowing two of her new colleagues tomorrow and Friday I'm sure she will enjoy it she has such a caring nature about her as I can testify to she is a good girl.

Oma I do hope you get the blood tests back that will help you nothing seems worse to us ladies than hair loss/thinning,mine although very long does tend to thin out as it gets longer so regular cuts are necessary in fact I go this next Friday and have booked a trim I don't have much off but it does sort of rejuvenate it thing is it grows so fast on Friday I will have about 2ins off and my fringe trimmed.Have you tried any thickening shampoo's/conditioners to give your hair a lift I use John Frieda and it does seem to work quite well x

Well since starting this post my DD has just rung to say she is on her way over by train as her partner is in work until 7pm so I am off to pick her up at the station now I shall try and have a quiet day tomorrow bye for now ladies talk soon x

Good Wednesday morning everyone. It's much cooler today and there have even been odd spots of rain.

There's no dog training today so we've got both GDs here and Coooper. The dogs have just about worn each other out, and the GDs and I have just given up on a mammoth game of snakes and ladders - we all kept landing on snakes. GD2 is very excited as she's going to a birthday party later this afternoon - a trip to the circus. Back later. xx

IKEA trip went well no moaning that was because we had breakfast there , that cheered him up
Only time he eats Breakfast is when we are on holiday or in IKEA 🙄😁

Glam I do use thickening shampoo ,
Yesterday I bought L’Oreal root touch up spray and tried it this morning , it covers the scalp ok actually as a temporary fix ,
I will most likely use it if I’m going out just so my scalp isn’t shining through my hair.

B said it’s not as bad as I think it is but I’m conscious of it so it’s a big deal to me .

The sun is shining and it’s quite warm in the sun but chilly in the shade ,

                              Gem
What colour are you having your holiday nails this time ?
what do your other DD think about DD3 can they suggest anything to help , I bet they are worried about her too .

                              Plant
enjoy your lunch , let us know what the game afternoon was like 😁

                              Daisy
long games become tedious don’t they especially when it’s going no where ,
Hope GD2 has a good time at the circus x

I've been sorting out the wardrobes. Not got rid of anything, but they are in a more orderly fahion now.

It was quite cool this morning, but its bright and a bit warmer now.
