We are going into town today, don't need much.
Might meet up with DS2, they came home from holiday yesterday.
On our way to town, we have to take a golden wedding present to hubby's sister and husband. Don't think we will be there long.
I know it sounds awful,but we never feel comfortable there.

She did ring last night and said she had a good day.


Bedding in the wash ,it's blowing enough to get them on the line and dried nicely.

I fell into bed last night and slept from 10.30 till 5 I was shattered.😁

I am still coughing, I thought it had got better, but still lingering . OH is coughing now

Today we are going with SIL and little E to the park where DD3 works to the 2 day festival which is taking place. We cant park there so will go to the Park and Ride and get a bus to just down the road from the park. We will take separate cars as OH and I may not stay as long as SIL and little E. They will go both days but we are only going for part of today. We hope the fresh air may do us good!

Gem, I hope the festival goes well, DS1 is helping friends with one in Rotterdam, country and blue grass, not his kind of music, but. he is loving it!!

GD1 just phoned, she said " it is so hot nan, we do nothing but swim and swim!! They arrive back in Cologne at midnight on Tuesday, she said her mother and father are driving there to pick them up, they were really pleased with that!

I am recovering from the heat! I heard from a neighbour that the lift has been out of order most evenings from the heat. I must remember not to venture out in the evenings when it is warm! They will have to do something about it though, we never had this bother with the last lift and it was in the same glass construction.

I have just got rid of 2 pairs of in line skates? I tried to sell them for the girls, but, no one was interested, I put them on our free site this morning and they were gone within one hour, a man and his wife took them both, so, they have gone now.

I had to go to the hospital yesterday for X rays of my feet, the hospital is busy with a new patient system, at the moment, well, upto yesterday, we had a pass with our photo, details etc on, from Monday it is all going to be digital, we will get a mail the day before the appointment, we log in and get a QR code, we then scan that at the gate of the clinic we need to be in. If patients don't have internet they can use the front desk on arrival at the hospital, they were busy constructing that on Friday. There are volunteers on all floors etc to help, in fact, they are very helpful. My old neighbour, a young lady, is in charge of all the volunteers .

I am actually baking a cake, it will be handy in the freezer, ready for when I have visitors.

We had a good day in town. Got all that we wanted.

Only stayed for ½ an hour with the anniversary couple.
That was enough for us.

We had a good day at the festival. We went in with SIL and little E, and came home an hour or so before them. Our friends C and P were at the festival and we spent a lot of time with them. We saw DDs 2 and 3, who were working, plus SIL2, GD and GS2.
We had nice day and the fresh air did us good.

Good morning, Gem, we scan in everywhere here!!! I was at the town hall the other day, scanned the QR code. Anything official here has to be scanned with a QR code, the office where I do the coffee, everyone needs a code, some of the "older" ones won't have one, they get the help they need to get it all sorted out.

I have just been to the gym, same thing, QR code to get in.

Everything seems to be turning to QR codes most places you go to eat have them to check Allergy ingredients and some cafes you can order at the table on them.
Not that I have used them for that .

I did sleep quite well thanks Oma.

Hoping Daisy and family are OK.

This morning little E was invited to play with little S (a year younger) next door. SIL and I went round with him. He had a nice time but little S wasn't so sure about sharing her toys! She is used to coming here and sharing his toys at ours

Then I drove SIL and little E to the park for a bit more festival time. They will see DD and GS1 there today. From there they will take the bus home this afternoon and DD3 will follow in her car at the end of the day.

No plans for us. I called in to Tesco on my way back for a fruit and veg top up, but we will stay home now I think. OH is a bit under the weather with my cold, so she's happy with Wimbledon.
