I had my aqua class then joined DD,SIL and GS3 in the toddler pool for a while. Then we all had lunch in the cafe with GS1.
Home now . GS1 on his VR, I've had my shower and having a rest before we set off to school for GS2.

      Busy day Gem.

I forgot to say my fingers are fine blisters still haven't burst so im using plasters and rubber gloves when I do anything.
The sun is out again a bit breezy but not as cold.
Just did my ironing not that there was a lot , I try to do it as soon as it's dry.

B washing the car and Storm is whining at the window as he can't get out there with him.

Hope all medical appointments have gone/ go well.

        Warm again here Gem.

Oma, glad MIL is on a nicer ward.

I only spent the morning tidying round this morning. There wasn't much to do.

Hubby put the water feature out in the garden when he came home.

Nanto - a water feature sounds nice, especially on a hot sunny day like today - very relaxing and refreshing. It was kind of you to invite your neighbour in. I'm sure she really appreciated it and your offer of company when she needs it. Had her husband been ill, or was it sudden?

Oma, I hope those burns heal soon - they must be quite painful still, and it makes it hard to do fiddly jobs. Poor Storm, he just wants to help B by testing the water first if he's anything like Eva. It's shocking that some hospital wards are so awful, but thank goodness your MIL has now been moved to a more comfortable one. I bet you both enjoyed the fish and chips after such an awful day. Has B had the results of his tests yet?

Gem, what a lovely social morning you had at the pool. I hope the school pick up is ok. If it's anything like our schools the roads are chaos at home time. Yesterday was obviously a good evening for fish and chips - and at least you've got tonight's meal sorted as well. Did S enjoy the golf competition?

Plant, it's better to be safe than sorry, but you must feel a bit fed up about having another heart scan. I hope they can find out why you're feeling breathless (although I'm sure the hot weather doesn't help). Did you manage to park ok? EDIT: Our posts crossed - I'm sure you were relieved to park ok. These hospital trips are exhausting, so it's sensible to have a good rest afterwards. xxx

Eva's appointment at the vets went ok yesterday. We saw the same vet, who is lovely and very gentle with Eva. She's started leaking a little bit of urine in her sleep, and apparently is very common in elderly female dogs (I haven't had a girl dog since I was a child, so didn't really know this) and she's got tablets for it. She's also got another course of antibiotics for her anal gland problem, and if that doesn't clear it up they will drain the gland under sedation and use antibiotic gel to help. She's so lively, I don't really think of her an an elderly dog, but I suppose she's likely to suffer from these things as time goes on.

My hospital appointment was fine - we were on our way home by 9.30 so went straight over to DS2's to collect Eva, and had a very welcome cup of tea there.

It's hot here again today and I usually love the sun, but can't cope with it at the moment. Still, it's good to see the sun shining, and it's bringing on some of the flowers in the garden.

Hallo everyone. it has been so warm here again.

Oma, it will be difficult for your MIL to made a decision, I have a friend here in the same situation. Your poor fingers!

I am actually feeling much better, after a heavy nose bleed in bed on Wednesday evening! What a mess.

Daisy, elderly dogs will be the same as elderly humans! My mum had a very old Jack Russel, he was 18 years at the time, he had doggy alzeimers!

Gem, you would enjoy the pool with the GS's.

GD1 was here this afternoon, she had to take her bike to the bike shop here for a new front tyre, it will be ready tomorrow, she was here a while, did a few odd jobs for me and made a smoothie! We sat out on the balcony and she cleaned her sneakers. She asked to make her some wide trousers like I made her last year, they are so easy to make so I will go to Delft on Thursday for the material, plus I have offered to make her a blazer, with her being so tall she has very long arms, I have actually , I have a blazer I made so asked her to try it on, it was perfect so I will get some material for that as well, that will be more work than the trousers though. I took her back home and maybe pick her up tomorrow.

Plant, I hope the hospital appointment went well, I just read that you are back home again. I have to go on Wednesday, not looking forward to it though.

Nanto, nice of you to say that to your neighbour. It will be difficult for her after the funeral.

I am going to sit and and get a pattern chosen , I can sit out now, no way can I sit out in the sun!!

Daisy, the neighbour had been ill for quite a while. Spent quite a bit of time in and out of hospital over the past 2 years.

Lizzie, plenty of work for you to do with all the sewing.

Its been warm here today, but not quite as warm as yesterday.

My oldest sister has long arms it was always a problem getting things that came down to the wrist,
Your GD is lucky you can make things for her.

                  Plant
Did they give any idea what's causing your shortness of breath ?

                  Daisy
You were in and out quick, how was your bloods?
Poor Eva , as you say you forget how old they are getting .

B's tests were good a few things not normal like his kidneys etc but nothing we don't know about ,
He has appointment with the Dr on the 8th .

My blisters are ok really they are shrinking but I am protecting them till they go,
The worst is a one just on the tip under my finger nail but again it's shrinking and not sore at all now.

Just spent about a hour chatting with my SIL my brother's ex wife ,
Honestly she doesn't come up for air , it's hard to get a word in edge ways 🤣

Lizzie, your GD is so lucky you can make things for her but it's lovely that she comes and helps you. My GD1 has a problem with standard sizes. She's so slim if trousers fit round the waist they're far too short, and if the length is ok they won't stay up! It's not that she's tall, she's just inherited her Mum's very slim figure. Luckily her other Grandma can make and alter things for her. And she makes things for herself as well. Your mother's JR did well at 17. Doggy dementia seems to be getting more recognised these days.

Nanto, your poor neighbour and his wife must have had a difficult time over the last two years.

Oma, Eva's ok in herself and is still bouncy, but her pill count is growing - YouMove for joints, Denamarin for liver function and now antibiotics and oestrogen tablets! The hospital didn't check my bloods today - just BP, blood oxygen and temperature. It was for what has become a routine injection, and I have a load of premeds to take beforehand. I'm glad you blisters are healing. My OH sends his sympathy because he got cement burns on his knuckles when he was doing the grouting on the patio on Monday and Tuesday. I didn't even know there was such a thing as cement burn. Does your brother's ex wife get a sore throat from so much talking? How is your MIL tonight?

Good morning. Sun is shining, but it feels fresher.

Daisy, that's a lot of tablets for Eva. Is she good at taking them.

                      Oma, how is MIL.

I think we are going to Pontefract today, it will make a change.
I'm not too fussy over beefburgers, but there is a van in the market that sells them, and they are nice,so that is what we will probably have. I couldn't eat a full one, so we share one. We usually have an ice cream after.

                      Have a good/nice day ladies.

                        Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that's definitely a good graphic for the nice sunny and warm start to the day. Enjoy your burger in Pontefract. I find a whole burger too much as well. Eva will eat pills hidden in food, but if they're too big she'll crunch them up. The problem is the Denamarin which is quite large and shouldn't be chewed, and has to be taken on an empty stomach - I wrap it in a bit of cheese slice and hope for the best.

It was really warm here last night - time for the summer duvet, I think, although it's due to get colder again next week. We've got a busy morning with Sainsburys and dog food due. I'll have to tidy the freezer out a bit first. We've got a few jobs to do in the garden as well. But I'll take is slowly and just enjoy being outside.

Plant, I hope you feel ok today and have recovered from your trip to the hospital. When will you get the results?

Oma, I hope your MIL is making progress. It's very difficult having the conversation about moving into a rest home, and she's quite feisty about her independence, so it wouldn't be easy for her. But on the other hand family can't be with her 24/7 and if she's take ill again you would all be worrying. Thank goodness there were no nasty surprises in B's blood test results.

                        I'll pop back later.

                          Morning ladies,
                          Nanto
I'm the same with burgers , I'm not fussed but I will eat a small portion,
My DD and myself are the same we find the bun too big, to much bread my DD says , so we tend to take half of it off .
MIL was ok when his sister went in yesterday , Martin going in today.

                          Daisy
Cement burns are painful , I remember my BIL getting them many years ago when he was laying my sister's patio, he always wore gloves after that. Poor J I hope they are not too bad,

Getting pills down isn't easy is it , Storm isn't too bad as long as there is ham or cheese involved 😁but DD has to wrap Buzz in a towel or she would be scratched to bits and has to make sure they are down or he spits them out again,

It's overcast and cold here at the moment ,
Sun supposed to come out by 10.

I have a parcel to go to the post office this morning then to B&M for weed killer.

Did anyone else have the greenfly swarm yesterday?
It was like little clouds, my windowsill was covered in them .
When my SIL rang last night she said they had them at her end also,
She even found two in her bra when she took it off 😁

Good morning, Oma, the sleeves are more than a few cm's too short, nearer 12cm. GD1 is over the 6ft so everything is long.

It is a lovely day, it is the yearly motor and sidecar run for the disabled, DH always helped, I went a few times with them, it is very busy and well organised, I did read that this was the 40th ride.

I read that my friend with alzeimers is nearing her end. Poor family, she doesn't recognise anyone at all now.

A lady is coming at 11am for me to check the accounts for the housing etc, I was ill in bed when I should have been there to do it, there is a meeting on Tuesday so it has to be done before then.

It's so dark and cold I have put the heating on.
Went out to do what I had to do and the wind is freezing ,
                              It looks stormy ,

                                Good morning all.

Oh dear Oma, don't send that weather here! It is cooler and I think we may have your weather forecast here tomorrow

                                No sun here yet Nan2.

Lizzie your GDs must appreciate you making things for them. When my GD was little her Gran made her beautiful clothes including dressing up outfits to rival expensive Disney store ones. Sadly of course those days are long gone for her Gran now.

Daisy we changed to our summer duvet last week and have had to sleep with all bedroom windows open for a couple of nights. Not last night though, it was much cooler.
I think maybe dogs are easier to give pills to than cats!

I have had very busy couple of days and now we have a virtually empty weekend!
We will probably go to a garden centre later for compost and tomato and bean plants. I want to wait a couple of weeks before buying my bedding plants.
