Plant we put both fans on and I used one of the ice packs I used after my knee surgery and we are a bit cooler now too.

Oma I'm in my pj's too as it felt cooler that way.

Daisy I hope your OH is safely back and enjoyed his trip.

Nan2, definitely too hot for ironing. We have holiday ironing but it will wait.

I'm not going to the library in the morning..I have let them know. I am still hoping to meet two friends for lunch as I park right outside the pub so it won't be at all taxing.

It's still very warm here, especially upstairs. I haven't done much today, and haven't taken Eva out. She was panting just going into the garden for essentials.

OH arrived home about 3.30. They have had a good week-end and the organiser had done a great job of arranging the various outings. OH was surprised at some of the changes since he lived in that area, but it was getting on for 60 years ago, so hardly surprising. The weather was good, but not as hot as down here, and they even had a short shower yesterday. He was thrilled to bits at how well the kit car performed and looking at the photos it looked good on the road. He was also pleased to see that the gliding club he belonged to back then was still operating and had expanded with a second runway and 4 winches as opposed to one of each in his day!

Good morning, I was awake far too early, I am always early but this was very early!

GD1 phoned at 10pm, they were almost at their destination, she said it all went smoothly, the bus, airport etc, but, it was a very long day and they were both very tired!!! I told her to have a good nights sleep then the holiday will start today, they chose to fly from Cologne as it was cheaper, but, they admit they should have chosen Rotterdam, never mind, you live and learn!!

Daisy, your DH would see a lot changed in 60 years! I often think if anyone returned to this village after so many years they wouldn't recognise it, at all!! I am pleased the car went well and they they enjoyed their weekend away.

It will be too hot for pets, it is too hot for us!!

I want to get some shopping done at 8am, I have an appointment at the gym at 9am, I will tell the young man to take it easy for me!!

Good morning, it feels fresher this morning, they did say it would be a bit cooler today.

Daisy, glad hubby arrived home safely.
I always say about our town, people wouldn't recognise it now to what it was like years ago.

Lizzie, glad GD arrived safely. Hope she has a good time.

I'm going to clean upstairs before it gets too warm, while hubby is out.
Got a load of darks in the wash. They'll be finished in about 10 minutes.

Dinner will be mash,veg and bacon and chicken slice with gravy.

I've just had a load of washing finish, it's on the line but it's a bit overcast,
It should all dry though as it's stuffy.

Pleased J is home safely and he has had a good time , was Eva pleased to see him 😁
We went to our home town last year and recognised nothing ,
All the roads had changed , B drove busses around for years and even he didn't know where we were.
Buildings pulled down new ones built, road changes , plus new roads .
I suppose progress takes over doesn't it.

So stuffy again last night , couldn't sleep then at 4.30 we got a text message from B's mam's phone it was her SOS text saying help I'm in an emergency,
So B rang back , she was ok went to the loo and as she got up she put her hand on the phone and pressed the button.
By then my house phone was going and my mobile his other sisters and brother got the same text so everyone in a panic , as B was on the phone to her no one could get through ,
After reassuring everyone it was a false alarm , we got up we couldn't go back to sleep.
I had had to get up to answer my mobile anyway as I don't take it upstairs at night , but I could hear it ringing ,
B has his apple watch on so gets it on there ,

B at the dentist this morning and I'm waiting for the new TV stand hopefully this one fits,
I need to iron but I think that will wait till after lunch I'm too tired just yet.

What a carry on with MIL Oma!

A bit cooler today thank goodness. We still have the fan on though.

I am meeting my two school friends for lunch ( C, of C and P, and another C!)
I'm very deaf atm, everyone has to repeat everything so that will be fun! I won't hug them today so as not to spread whatever.

The heat has wiped me out today. It's 27 at the moment, but very heavy as well.

I'm too tired even to respond to your posts, but I have read them. Hopefully I'll perk up a bit when it gets cooler in the evening.

It's a lot cooler here today thank goodness. I hope it is for you soon.

I enjoyed my long lunch and chat. I started to feel a bit under the weather again about an hour ago so, had been fine most of the time. I'm home now and hopefully the cooler weather will make for a better night's sleep.

Good morning. Hope everyone had a better night's sleep with it being cooler.


Our forecast today is morning cloud, followed by afternoon sun.
We have had a bit of rain during the night.

I think we are having visitors today. Bro in law rang hubby yesterday and said they would call sometime today. No idea what time.

Not much to do for me, got jobs done yesterday with it being cooler.
I'll get the ironing done.

Dinner is corned beef, baked beans and mash pie.

Hope those feeling under the weather, are better soon.
