I have just arrived back from the meal , it was pie night which I don’t usually have, so, I really enjoyed it.

I had a good few hours in Beverley, me SIL was the doctor , almost certainly from her ears so e ere all pleased about that.

Daisy, I do hope that the footbridge gets saved.

Nanto, I had a look in a few charity shops, I didn’t buy anything 😉🤬

Lizzie we don't often have pies and a pub we eat at occasionally does very good ones!

How ridiculous about the footbridge Daisy. I can understand why people are annoyed .

Nan2 and Lizzie we love a charity shop browse too, but mostly don't find anything.

Aqua for me this morning. OH needs her monthly bloods this morning so will meet us for coffee after the class.The NHS blood taking unit is conveniently in the same building ( and much quicker and more efficient than the one at the hospital) Dentist for me this afternoon and golf for OH.
Hopefully the rain will stop!

Been to Aldi while Storm out with the dog walker then we will go do a little housework hoover wipe worktops clean litter tray etc,
I've done a basic shop for her as they get in at 8.30 in the morning.

Nanto, with rain like that, home is the best place to be.

Lizzie, good news from the doctor. You must all be relieved.

Gem, it makes such a difference being able to get blood tests done easily. Our local hospital Phlebotomy department gets booked up very quickly, but they've told me they will always treat me as "urgent" so not to worry if I can't get an appointment. Hopefully it would be the same for S if there are no appointment slots available. I hope the weather's ok for golf this afternoon.

Oma, your DD and family will really appreciate the shopping. It's the last thing you want to think about after an overnight flight. I'm sure they'll get a good welcome from Storm, even though he's loved being with you and B.

The bridge fiasco continues. Forestry England took down the handrail last night, and there is now a huge digger at the site, which has already churned up a large area of forest land - it's very soft with the current rain. Quite a few local people are there and the media have been involved. We are all disgusted at the high-handed way FE have dealt with this, withholding information, ignoring emails and phone calls, etc. The BBC tv aren't helping either. They have twice run a story about how FE are improving habitats for rare bugs by chopping down certain trees but no mention of the destruction of a well-used bridge when the alternative route is so dangerous. I thought publically funded bodies were accountable to the public they're supposed to serve, but it appears not. Sorry, rant over!

I'm not going to dog training today. I'm tired, after a week-end burst of energy, and I was exhausted after last week's class.

Daisy,we don't need appointments at either of the blood taking venues here. Just turn up and wait! Luckily the queue was very short this morning and OH was waiting for us in the cafe after our class.

B has cleaned out and washed both GS's and DD's cars so they nice and clean for them coming home.

While he was doing that I had a burst of energy and I washed all the cupboard doors down, kitchen ones, utility, and the vanity unit in the downstairs loo plus my big larder cupboard in the dining room ,
I then started on the tiles in the kitchen utility and loo,
From there I took the filter out of the cooker hood and cleaned and changed the filter,

Rather bushed now but they are done ,
Once the dog goes home if I feel up to it after the dentist tomorrow I will start with the paintworks and windows,
Get rid of dog drool and hair.

We have to make appointment with our nurse practitioner to have ours done at the Drs.

Oma, i cleaned the extractor fan yesterday. We don't us filters,the ducting goes through the wall to the outside.

Just added some more items to tomorrows Asda order. Thats the third time today.

Oma. our Drs practice won't do blood taking any more. You have to go to the stadium, where I go to aqua classes, or to the hospital, but you don't need an appointment.
Can B come and wash and clean my car when I go on holiday???


Well I had a totally wasted afternoon

I caught the bus into town, waited around until my appointment time, climbed the the two flights of stairs to my dentist. Only to be told she was on long term sick leave and was 'supposed to have let her patients know'. Fortunately I had caught the bus in rather than driven and paid to park, but it took a lot of my time, not to mention a needless stair climb.

I wore my raincoat, the sun came out and I was very hot!! The plus side was I chatted to a very nice lady all the way back on the bus.

DD3 is coming to stay tonight as she has an early train t0 catch for work and we are closer to the station. She also quite likes a night at her Mums from time to time

I took Storm for a walk and had my coat on , I had to take it off it was hot in the sun.

This is a very early "good morning" for tomorrow!

We are going to London for the day, and a trip round Buckingham Palace. It is organised by a group OH belongs to, and we have to be in Winchester to get the coach by 8 o'clock. We need to allow an hour to get to the meeting point, so it will be an early start for us. We're looking forward to it, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll be ok - it was booked a long time ago. I imagine it will be very busy in London with Donald's Trump's visit, but I think he'll be at Chequers tomorrow, and in any case the visit has been concentrated on Windsor Castle.

We hope to be back in time to collect Eva from DS's but if not he will keep her overnight and we'll pick her up on Friday.

The demolition of the bridge saga continues - I'll update on Friday.

We had a nice evening with DD3. We ate then spent the evening chatting. A taxi picked her up at 6.30 this morning for her 7am train to London.
Little E day today, hospital for OH this afternoon. Hopefully all will go smoothly, she will have the injections and being given the tablets for the next 3 weeks and be home again.
Parking is free at the hospital for those having cancer treatments, so that helps.
That was the case in Leeds when I was going for the radiotherapy, so maybe it is in all hospitals for this?
