On a slightly different but related note, every time I mention DD and her OH going to Canada (it's for 6 to 8 months) One friend keeps saying 'Aren't you worried they will stay out there?'. Why do people feel the need to say such insensitive things?

Enfys - I'm so relieved you are ok. I'm sure the friend was mortified by what she said, but sometimes I think you only realise the impact of your words after you've said them. The main thing is your DH's prostate check was good. They must be very happy with him to have transferred him back to the GP's care so quickly. As Gem says, let it go. You're both doing fantastic and I really admire how strong you've been through all of the ups and downs. Everybody had 'wobbles', but each time you've come back stronger and that's the great thing to hold on to.

If you're anything like me, waiting an extra week for your haircut will be a week of 'bad hair' days! I'm going for a trim tomorrow, and I can't wait!

Gem - perhaps the next time your thoughtless friend says that, perhaps you should reply, 'I wasn't, until someone put the idea in my head'!!! I think when people say things like that they're just mirroring their own anxieties/worries etc.

Good to see you back Enfys , there is no need to feel you have to apologise for your absence or for the fact that you weren't in the jolliest of moods. We can all feel fed up from time to time but with every thing that you are having to deal with its perfectly understandable . Its good that your friend did apologise for her remarks , don't dwell on it Enfys, its not good for your health .

Now, I don't want to appear as if I am bosting but...... as its supposed to be very nice for the next couple of days I have delved into the back of the wardrobe to find my summer clothes and I tried my favourite little top and skirt on and not only does it still fit but I still look absolutely stunning in it. Now tell me what you think...... ....Still got it eh ?

I finely managed to finish the ironing with my new hot , flat hissy thing all thanks to Argos same day delivery .

The man from the kitchen company came round this afternoon to check on the work......even he was very pleased with how his plans had worked out. Seemed surprised I hadn't filled all the cupboards.....yet! For those who'd like to see it, I'll let you know when he puts the photos on his website/FB page.

Been glorious day here today. Even went out delivering friend's election leaflets with bare legs!!He's our only Independent candidate (NOT UKIP as he says!) and we're hoping he's re-elected to the District council. Don't know any of the opposition candidates.

Talking of people saying unkind things: many years ago my Mum was quite ill but preferred to keep the cause to herself and close family. A cousin, who liked to know everything said to her " It'll be a women's thing that's wrong with you." "No" said Mum, "men can get it as well". She never asked again! As for family moving abroad, I just say I think of all the lovely holidays I'll be able to have!

Got another wash out and dried today. Trouble is it's beginning to pile up waiting to be i*****!

OH off for his 6 monthly bloods tomorrow and I'm hoping to get out in the garden and get those sticky band things on the fruit trees. It's too early for the moth traps, but they're on the list of 'to dos'.

I had three moles checked today. One ok, 2nd being removed & 3rd I'm being referred to Dermatology Clinic. The latter is a precautionary measure.

Had a god day out yesterday, a friend took me to the hospital to get my prescription and then suggested we had a mooch around the local parade of shops and I treated her to lunch. WI this morning, a neighbour is taking me, I am calling in all the favours I have done in the past.

OH is playing in a golf competition today. I have a free day.
I need to pick up some theatre tickets for Saturday, so I will have a mooch around town whilst I am there. We have little overnight guests on Friday night, so I will probably prepare for them today too.

It's a bright,bright sunshiny day....again! Yippee!

Daisy....we have 'rock' group in our village where painted rocks are hidden round the village and if you find one you can post it to the FB page. It's quite exciting when you find one! I think several places do it.

Our local Salvation Army have an annual charity sale for 4 days and it's on next week. So to save me the journey of taking stuff to the shops in town, it's all going along there. Shall be sorting it out in a bit.DD wants my freezer, but goodness knows when that'll get picked up!

Good morning all. Has the lovely weather arrived where you are. The sun is trying and it seems warmer so far . Hope to repot the olive lollypop and bay tree today as well as plant some bulbs that have finished flowering near the hedge out the front garden .

We are going to the theatre in May to see Brian ( its a puppet ) Conley. I booked it a birthday treat for OH.
