Mimi, hope you sleep better tonight. had a few bad nights myself.

Just cut the grass, but it was still a bit damp.
It was ruddy hard work, even though i use a petrol mower.

    Qwerty, photos are lovely.

      Afternoon everyone.

How is your day going? Mine has been busy so far. Started off with a little ir....g followed by a brisk walk! Then I decided to sort out a cupboard full of old wrapping paper, envelopes, calendars etc, etc. They are now spread all over the floor A lot of recycling needs to take place! I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t started but I know I will be glad when it’s done.

Qwerty ,what a young- looking granny you are. That tea looks delicious and the twins are two little cuties.

Clover, I agree Qwerty is a very glamorous gran

OH has cut our grass or at least the top layer, and edged it. It was still wet. I can hear lawnmowers and other gadgets all around me today.
DD3 and OH coming later. I have cooked and they are bringing pud, as they have lots of rhubarb on their allotment. We love rhubarb!

About to go and buy compost, my life is just to exciting 😀 Went to see my birthday boy, toiling away in his garden. He was very lucky to get an allotment a few minutes from their flat. He has been busy putting in raised beds for his veggies. Takes after his Dad, loves his gardening. The sun is trying hard to break through the gloom, promise of better weather by the forecasters. Roast pork for dinner tonight. Hope peeps have better weather than us southerners 😕

Thankyou Nana, I’ll do my best as I’m sure Nanto2 will, despite the weather forecast.
Out to lunch today, but I need to finish digging my veg patch first. Daisy your site sounds a soggy nightmare. Would you consider moving to another less soggy place?
Just looked at washing machine, there is a considerable amount of money on view in the door. Mine now I think.😆

I missed out on chatting on here this morning - must be the excitement over the new photo Album system that came in the upgrade!

Grauntie - moving to a less soggy place would mean moving house! The whole of the Forest is one big bog - and to think that They Who Know Best have been trying to encourage the conservation of the areas of the Forest that have always been boggy. It's rained again today so back to square one in the garden. But that bright shiny thing isn't the sun - it's my halo - I've cleaned the kitchen windows and washed down the cupboard doors and work surfaces, and gone round the house removing wet nose marks from other doors and windows! I hope you got your washing and digging done so you can jet off with a clear conscience.

Plant, I hope you can get your leak fixed quickly! Thank goodness your nice new curtains have survived the kitten.

Gem - have a nice evening with DDs and OH. I bet your greenhouse looks lovely. I did mine some weeks ago and it's all grubby again now!

I was feeling envious of Nanto's braised steak and onions on the menu for today. Then DS2 range and said would we like to go round for roast lamb and all the trimmings tonight. Well, we haven't done any shopping for ages, so it took us about a nanosecond to say 'yes, please'! We're going to take Evan and Cooper to the paddock for a run (or paddle!) and then go over there. We're really looking forward to is, as in their previous house they didhn't have room to have anyone round for a meal, and DS2 loves cooking.

Nana - I bet your Moses basket and stand were sold pretty quickly.

Had a lovely visit to DD this weekend! Really nice to see them.

We passed your road end Plant on our way to Premier Inn at Loudwater. DD only has 2 bedrooms where they're renting.

Came home and started filling cupboards......reckon there'll still be some more stuff to go as I can't envisage where it's going to fit in!

Rain showers again, but a bit more of that bright thing in sky!

Oma - lovely photos, and that cake looks delicious! Your MIL looks as though she's enjoying her birthday. Send her best wishes from all us grannies.

Wee Granny - glad you've had a good week-end with your DD and family. Are they still house hunting? Nobody eve has enough kitchen cupboards! Have you got more than before - or about the same?

Mimi - I hope you sleep better tonight. Tell that brain of yours to shut up, unless it can solve global warming, warring nations and how to get stains out of your best blouse! x

We had a nice walk in the paddock with Eva and Cooper, and didn't get very wet when it suddenly started to rain. Why was I the only person without a hat or hood! We went back to DS2's and he'd made a yummy roast lamb dinner. Got back here about 9 o'clock and am now heading for an early night.

Sleep well everyone. Mimi's brain - are you listening!

                                Good morning everyone.

Happy packing Nan2 (much more fun than unpacking!) I'm glad the mystery was solved.

No real plans today apart from going to see my mum. Plenty that needs doing around here though!
One job I will do is look over and finalise the minutes of the last meeting.

Have a good day everyone, especially birthday girl Qwerty
