Happy just to look and admire, Qwerty, while OH cooks dinner and I drink gin in front of the fire. 😁Last edited by Grauntie Mag; 17-03-2018, 07:44 PM.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Qwerty well done to your DD. Does she go to a weight loss class? Hope both GC enjoy their time away. What an adventure for them.
Being not too far away from the other Yorkshire 'lasses' our weather's the same. -1 but with wind chill -8.

It looks as though we’ve all had a cold and snowy day.
We’ve had a lovely day. The snow started before we got past Bournemouth, great big flakes and a driving wind. West of B’mouth it got heavier and heavier, but still not sticking. Then when we turned off the main road to go across country it stopped. So we got to our friends quite easily. It really is an isolated spot! They had had some snow earlier so we’re pleased we’d made it! They had obviously taken the weather into account when cooking lunch - a lovely turkey roast. Christmas revisited. Pudding was a delicious Yorkshire curd tart. Very yummy.

Back safely! Blizzard conditions on the way to the bus stop though, we looked like two snowmen!!
Good film, meal and company, well worth braving the weather for. We are happy to be warm at home in our PJs and dressing gowns however 😊“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I've just been to let Eva in the garden and it's snowing and sticking. Not much yet, but if it snows all night it will be quite deep by tomorrow! Some of the daffodils are weighed down already.
Gem - glad to hear you've had a good day, too. I hope GS2 is ok today.
Oma and Qwerty - how are your GCs enjoying their trips? I hope they haven't been postponed because of the weather.
Libra - I hope you've arrived safely. I'd forgotten you were going by coach, and a window seat is always better. I'm sure your family are really pleased you're there with them. xx
Nanto - that kitchen duties list sounds just perfect!
Clover - I'm pleased you and G enjoyed your anniversary meal. Nanto have you decided how to celebrate your 50th yet?
GM - there you are - cleaning is very bad for your health, now you're paying for it by having to sit by the fire holding your G&T with sore wrists!Did you find the chocolate you hid from yourself?
Oma - it was a good idea to go and see your MIL today - at least you know she's ok and stocked up with everything she needs.
Enfys - it's a good job the weather held off long enough for you to get to your family history meeting, but Plant, I don't blame you for staying home.
