Afternoon from a mafted woman even too warm to be on here if that’s possible
Ds and dil plus twins came to show us their uniforms before school tomorrow so was nice to hear about their hols they are all a gorgeous colour, her dad goes back to Tawaiin this week bet it’s cooler there lol. When they got home they were locked out as they left before her dad and his wife who went shopping and they didn’t have a key, luckily because it’s so warm the kitchen window was open and dil climbed in 😀 quickly to stop the alarm going off
Gem sounds like a fun filled party yesterday 👍🏻
GM you lucky lady they are the best kind of surprises have a lovely time, Andre comes to the Arena in Leeds leading up to Christmas but I’ve never made it , he looks quite a handsome fellow too

Salmon, jersey royals and veg for us for tea, plus rasps from the garden with ice cream - minimal cooking in this heat!
I hope the twins enjoy their first morning tomorrow Qwerty. I bet they will.
I have done my unpacking and spruced up my therapy room for a friend of mine coming for a treatment tomorrow after work.
Feet up for the rest of the day

        Well lunch was Disgusting

We went to a place we have been several times out in the country and where we have had some lovely meals , but today it was just Horrendous
SIL's parents opted for fish and chips and B had Lasagne and they enjoyed it but the rest of us picked a Sunday lunch , my god it was horrible ,

The meat was fatty , all the Veg and I mean all of it was almost raw and inedible , Gravy was cold and the Yorkshire puds cracked like wafers they were so dry and obviously frozen not fresh made

We complained and sent them back so ended up with just fruit Sundays for pudding, they were lovely but you cant mess fruit and ice cream up can you ,
They did compensate by taking the dinners off the bill and giving us free deserts ,
The head waiter came and apologised said it must have been a bad batch and a one off till we pointed out how many other Sunday roasts were left by other people , He also said it was a new weekend chef they had , cant see him lasting long
        Very disappointed
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oh, what a disappointment Oma, as you say he wont last long. How can you serve cold gravy.

Lovely visit from the family Qwerty, I wonder how they or their parents will feel tomorrow.

It is too hot to move here today, curtains drawn, fan on and I am still sweating.

DD an SIL are in Leeds visiting the Liquorice Festival today, back tomorrow.

I love it too Oma, but rarely have it for that reason.
What a pity about the lunch

I am relaxing in the garden while OH catches up on recorded tennis!

Oh dear Oma,what a shame about the lunch. Bet they have a new weekend chef next week.

Weather has clouded over now,and there are some very dark clouds.
                Very humid though.

Qwerty, hope twins and parents have a lovely morning tomorrow.

Oma - what a disappointment about the roast dinners. It does take the edge off the occasion when that happens, but I'm glad you sent them back.

Qwerty - fingers crossed for the twins tomorrow. My GD2 has had two sessions now and loves it - so far!!

Gem - I've been to a live screening of an Andre Rieu concert and it was very different, but much to my surprise I loved it - it's so unlikely and surreal!

I did grilled lamb cutlets tonight, with jacket potatoes and a mixed salad. Am now enjoying a whiskey and dry ginger with plenty of ice. Well it is our wedding anniversary and I've been doing housework all day!!! I'm feeling very virtuous about that, and I've cleaned all the downstairs floors, including under furniture. Then about 3 pm I felt very tired, so I went and laid on the bed for a few minutes - 90 of them to be exact! Out like a light!!!

Good morning, Nanto and everyone. Nanto - I hope the blood test goes ok. xx

I didn't see the forecast last night, but somewhere I read that it will be a little cooler towards the middle of the week and probably warming up again at the week-end. If it is cooler this week it will suit us fine - it might be hard keeping Eva cool in the caravan if it's around 30C.

I was so hot yesterday, even in the shade in the garden. GD1 and I had some wine and a meal in the garden when it cooled off. Kitten finds it too hot to go out in the day but goes mad when it cools off and runs straight up a tree, at least he is better at getting down again. DD and SIL due back today. Bowls this afternoon, embroidery group this evening for me.

Hope they get some more boys out of the cave today.

                            Good morning all.

Daisy, I lived in a caravan during the heatwave summer of '76, April to November, cool is definitely better!!
Too hot for Storm eh Oma?!
                            Enjoy your day Plant.
I had an early (9am) committee meeting this morning, so this is my first chance to drop in.
I am working early evening, a friend is coming for some reflexology after work.
In between I have few things to do, including seeing my mum.
My hayfever has been really bad, it is mainly tickly and hot throat, and a cough for me, and just feeling a bit yuk. The downside of the hot and dry weather
It does seem a bit better today though.

Have a good day everyone, with no one too hot or too allergic!

Oma, yes just a rouitine blood test.

Been cooler and overcast this morning, but it looks to be brightening up now.

Gem - that summer of 76 must have been sweltering in a caravan (and DD1 as a young baby?). Glad you hay fever has eased off a bit - it's such a miserable condition. How is your Save the Library committee getting on?

I've moved as many of our pots into the shade as I can. I hope they survive while we're away!

I'm just getting a sandwich for lunch and then off to collect GD2 from playgroup. No Cooper today - he's having his first day in doggy day care!
