Thanks for letting us know you are there Plant, I heard from my daughter not long ago and they were 7 miles away.
I'm sure that lunch out with your friends did you good Mimi. Good for you for making yourself go

We, however did not go to the afternoon tea event as my mother had a 'bad tummy'. These happen when she decides she doesn't want to do something for some reason. It was her who suggested we go, but obviously had second thoughts. When I took her shopping to her, and a custard tart she of course ate the whole thing and no loo trips when I was there, over 2 hours!

Good to hear your there safe Plant ,
Mimi I sometimes think I don't want to go but then glad I did because I have had a good time , its sometimes motivation isn't it ,
B has had Kidney stones in the past so you never know ,

Gem my sister does that , if she decides she doesn't want to go she always develops a bad stomach that miraculously disappears as soon as the time passes to go out , its a running joke with us , we will take bets how long it takes for her to make the excuse .

Oma - if today's little trip to the hospital works to convince B to drink more water, and less Coke, it will have been time well spent. So pleased he's ok. xx

Mimi - well done for going out with the girls when you didn't really feel like it. And also well done for getting that other occasion organised.

Plant - pleased to hear you've landed safely in Cornwall and you have a nice room. I love St Ives, despite the hills. I've got a theory that you can tell who the locals are by the way they tackle those steep streets - they sort of bounce from one step to the next, a bit like tigger!

Gem - what a pity your mum denied both herself and you of a lovely outing. It must be frustrating for you - you're very patient. xx Glad your DD and family have arrived safely as well. Where are they staying?

It's nithering here as well!! I'm wearing a cardigan and socks with my crocs (not a great look, but I hate being cold).. We took Eva to the paddock just before tea and it was quite pleasant, although a bit breezy, but it's got colder now. It was also dark by 9 pm! I can feel the Autumn blues coming on already.

Good morning all . Hope I find you all fit and well

Plant when you go to St Ives look out for the man with seven wives 😉😆

Daisy are you warmer now. I was talking to my neighbour and she has got her heating on already!

Oma and Enfys how are the knees ?

My back felt better yesterday but the hip was very painful when I got home from my day out , hoping not to hobble around too much when my niece comes later today. She is hoping I can fill in some gaps in her childhood so I predict a few tears to be shred .

Has anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend?

I need to go to the supermarket on our way home.

Good morning Mimi, Nan2 and everyone else.

This morning we will do our leaflet delivery. We thought we had done if for this quarter but that was an extra supplement! Still, all good exercise which I badly need.
Tonight is my Rose Theatre trip. We are booked to have meal in a restaurant just across the road at 5.45, so hopefully it will all fit in. The play begins at 7.30.
I will catch the bus to town. OH is meeting one of the other ladies OH's for a meal and they will meet us afterwards so no need for buses home.

DD and family arrived at the holiday resort to be upgraded from a 2 bed semi detached cabin to a 4 bed detached one with hot tub! They are all delighted, not least of all GD who was not looking forward to sharing a room with her little brother

                        Have a good Saturday everyone.

Dull, here but dry. Mimi, Knee a bit better but still very stiff.

We want to tidy up the front garden this morning, as long as the rain holds off. I will have to cut the grass at some point too, so,that’s another job. Otherwise nothing exciting planned.

We had a lovely lunch out yesterday with DILs parents. Heard all about their planned trip to see our DC down under! I really don’t think we could do that long journey again so have reconciled ourselves to the fact that unless they come here we won’t see them again. C’est la vie!!

Glad to hear B’s hospital visit went well Oma, just one of those things I guess. Enjoy your theatre trip Gem.

Have a great holiday Plant, and enjoy St Ives. It’s a lovely little town, I remember sitting on the sea wall with a Cornish pasty, had to be careful of the seagulls divebombing to try and get people’s lunches!

                          Qwerty, how is J now?

                              Good morning everyone.

I got a rude awakening just after 8 am today! Our allotment partner had been down there, and was dropping off our share of what he had picked. So he's just left and we're due out in half an hour - off for quick shower and see you later.

Everyone up and dressed now, DIL's brother has just arrived on the sleeper train. We are catching a train about 12.15 to St.Ives, will look out for the man with seven wives. This must be at least my sixth visit to St.Ives, love the train or the coastal bus. This house is in the center of the village/small town and I have enjoyed watching the place come to life, saw a Dalmatian dog coming out of the ironmonger/pet shop over the road coming out of the shop with a bone in his moth, he looked very pleased with himself.

Mimi, pleased to hear your pain is slightly better, don't get too depressed with your nieces visit.

Gemini have a lovely day at the theatre.

Qwerty I hope J is feeling better
