Plant - the St George's Day parade always clashed with birthday plans for DS2, but Arkela used to get really annoyed if he didn't attend the parade - it was definitely a 3-line whip for the Cubs and Scouts.
Mimi - I would have loved to see a video of you and your OH birthing a bamboo plant!
Gem - I'm sure the poorly friend felt better for having a bit of company for a while.
It has certainly been a busy day. But it has had its good moments! The sun shone and it was really warm until mid-afternoon, when it went cooler, but was still dry. Both GDs are getting used to having a garden they can play in - today it was their scooters, playing ball and skipping mainly. All things they couldn't do in their old house. It was nice enough to have the back door open and dogs and children wandered in and out whenever they wanted. Cooper is quite full-on - and very energetic. Eventually Eva had had enough, and barked at him. Just the once, and he left her alone for a while - not long though! In the end I put her on the lead so she stayed close to me, and then Cooper got the message - compared with him, she's an old lady!! After a while he settled down to 'sensible' play, which was fine. I even managed to do a bit of gardening - pruned the hydrangeas, a bit of dead-heading, and some general tidying up.
Over in the old house, the grown-ups cleared out the loft - goodness knows how so much stuff got put up there, for DS2 has lived there for about 20 years. My OH did some much needed work on the little patch of garden at the front of the house. I didn't get back home until about 7 pm - shattered. I cooked haddock with parsley sauce, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and peas for dinner - quick and easy - and am now ready for bed!

What a busy day Daisy, now wonder you are ready for bed
As you say it had it's good moments. I'm sure the children love having a garden. My DDs1 and 2 were 8 and 10 when we first got a garden. and they loved it. We always spent a lot of time in my mum and dads garden, and the nearby parks, but to have their own garden was a real treat.
Tomorrow OH and and I are going to Liverpool for the day. We have booked to see the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. We are off on the train, with our senior railcards
We have to be up and out early to catch the bus to the station so I may not get online. I will at least try to pop in and say goodnight tomorrow night though!

Daisy,a busy day for you and OH yesterday.
Gem, hope you and OH have a lovely day.
I keep reading back, but not caught up with everything yet.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Usual sort of day after trip to doctor for result of X-ray. Open surgery and Monday morning so a long wait in store. The doctor I need to see is going on leave when I’d normally make an appointment, hence the open surgery today.I’ll be able to have a good read of my book!
Good morning all on St George’s Day. Hope your doctors appointment goes well Clover and you don’t have to wait too long. Off to art group soon then we are doggie sitting this afternoon. Glad it’s dry so Dexter can be in and out to his hearts content. Hope you all have a good day 🌞

Gem - have a lovely day out in Liverpool with the Warriors.
Clover - I hope you don't have to wait too long at the doctors, and the result of the x-ray is good.
Libra - a perfect morning for a long doggy walk, that hopefully won't be too muddy!
Nanto - those pies sound delicious. I bet your in-laws will be pleased to see you after your holiday.
Enfys - enjoy your art group this morning.
Another busy day for me. I'll have to take Eva with me when I collect GD2 and Cooper - it will be the first time I've had both dogs in the car together. I do hope my car survives!

Good morning everyone. You've all been busy again. I love reading what you've all been up to. All your talk of storms & I didn't hear or see anything. I'm going to Costco later today to see if I can see any specs I like & they work out cheaper. Must remember to take my prescription with me.
Have a lovely day whatever you have planned.
