I've had a fairly productive day, but didn't do the freezers - it was too hot to have the contents out for even a few minutes!

The washing dried nicely though - even our hefty mattress protector.

Grauntie - what a lovely surprise, although I'm sure your friend is disappointed to miss the trip, to say nothing of the Andre Rieu concert.

Wow GM that's a wonderful opportunity hope you have a fabulous time
Well as you see by the time im not asleep again

I have been watching out see if the little Rabbit comes back but no sign ,
My neighbour was furious we were all out trying to catch the poor little thing and its owner went back in doors and wasn't interested in the slightest , she said if we caught it he wasn't getting it back she would take it to a sanctuary as obviously he didn't care , some people shouldn't own animals of any kind ,

              Good moaning Each.
Someone here snored his head off from 5am. Why oh why? I have done most jobs now, I shall wake him gently with a cup of tea....not! He should be so lucky. I am going to have a very noisy shower.
              Have a good day Ladies.

Good morning ladies who rise early, and those who are still in the land of Nod!

I'm going to get on with house work - I hate leaving the house a mess when we go away and today is my last chance. Also, I've read so many horror stories this week about flies and maggots I now need the combined forces of all the Bleach Babes to seek out every speck in every corner or I'll be coming back to a house crawling with horrible fat, white maggots!

Last night our en suite bathroom radiator sprung a leak! Glad it happened then rather than when we're away, but I doubt the plumber will be able to come until we get back. Never mind, worse things happen at sea, as they say!

I hope the grannies on the night shift manage to get a rest during the day.

Grauntie - you meanie, not waking your OH gently with a cup of tea. In this hot weather a glass of ice cold water poured gently over his head might be a good idea!

Qwerty - I'm torn between wanting England to win and hoping they don't. Football fans have been talking about the last time we won it for 52 years, and that was when we only had one or two tv channels in black and white and most people didn't even have a house phone. Imagine what it would be like now with social media, millions of tv channels etc, etc. But it would give the country a boost and perhaps encourage more children to do more sport.

Oma - yes, your neighbours don't deserve their little rabbit back, but realistically a domestic rabbit doesn't stand much chance out in the wild overnight. I agree, some people should never have pets of any kind!

Gem - I hope your hay fever's a bit better, and there are no headaches after DD's birthday celebrations yesterday.

Have a good day, ladies, and stay cool.

Phew, another scorcher here. We were woken up at 4 am by the phone ringing....no- one there, just a load of static grrrr.. luckily we both managed to get back to sleep and have on,y just woken up. Too hot to do much today and it’s our GS birthday so will be seeing him at some point.

I actually watched the football yesterday, well, the second half at least. We both cheered when they scored, it would be great if we could win but not counting on it yet. Also enjoying the tennis, it’s a good reason to stay inside in the cool and relax, we seen to be doing a lot of that lately 😎

Have a good day ladies, stay cool 🌞

Ladies, do detect more enthusiasm for the World Cup football. Those lads played their hearts out to get that result and no I haven't been converted to be a football fan.

I am going to change my bedding today as GD is home and she is going to help me with the duvet cover. Nothing else planned, too hot to do much and no tennis to watch.

Libra, I am sure your family will enjoy their lunch you are cooking for them.

Well the heat seems to be governing everything we do at the moment. I don't blame those of you who are relaxing the the coolest places you can find.

Oma - have a lovely lunch and lots of laughs (as I'm sure you will!)

Gem - look forward to hearing all about yesterday.

Plant - I don't think even winning he World Cup will turn us into a bunch of footy-fans, but any positive news about anything cheers people up.

Enfys - how annoying having the phone ring like that. I'm glad you both got back to sleep.

Libra - Did you manage your roast dinner in al this hot weather? I'm sure you will be glad of a rest when you get home. xx

                              Hi again!

I hope you don't get too hot cleaning Daisy! At least it is for a good reason a holiday
Enfys a phone call during the night is so alarming isn't it?
I hope GS comes today Oma.
Stay cool Plant. I'm glad you enjoyed the match.
Grauntie, I am envious!! We have seen 2 live streamings to the cinema of the Andre Rieu concert and I love it, please tell us all about it

It seems slightly cooler than yesterday which is a good thing.
DD2's party was lovely, a really happy and chilled family day, which is what she wanted. Most of it was a surprise. She loved it, which was our aim We based the theme on blue, stars and silver, all of which she loves (Hmm, I wonder who she takes after ??! )
Football was on in the house during the match, and those who wanted could watch. We had a small core of die hards who wanted to watch it all, a few who wandered in every so often and shouted in for the score, and several of us who didn't take any interest I didn't care who won, but seeing how happy it made others I was of course glad that England did win!
We had a big paddling pool out for the kids, under shade, and they were in and out of that all afternoon. No one left until mid evening, and OH and I actually stayed chatting to my ex and his OH until 11.30!! We love our blended family, and know we are so very lucky.

I didn't make a roast dinner, just took a small cottage pie out of the freezer.
Served it with veggies and gravy.

Made a chocolate fudge cake, Just taken it out of the oven.
                                it was a cake mix that i haven't had before,hope it's ok.
