Mimi - I hope the rain hasn't spoilt all their hard work. It's tipping it down here, but there's probably still some saved for you as well.

We had a very good evening 😊 My friends, who had never met before got on well.
It was a good production Daisy, with Gwen Taylor playing Lady Bracknell.
A few drops of rain on my short walk from theatre to car park , but that's all.

Libra, so nice to see your DD with the girls.

A very successful evening, then, Gem. Gwen Taylor is a good actress, so I'm sure her Lady Bracknell was excellent.

              Good morning everyone.
Another one of waking to the sunshine

Welcome back Nan2, I hope you had a lovely break.
How lovely seeing GD in the parade Qwerty. We had a single thunderclap here last night and some rain.

I will go to my mums this afternoon, as I won't have time on Monday or Tuesday. No other plans today.

                  Good Sunday morning, everyone.

After the torrential, loud thunderstorm last night going on in to the wee small hours (we must have had your share, Gem!) it's bright and sunny.

Nanto - welcome home, glad you had a good birthday.

Qwerty - I hope your GD1 enjoys the Brownie Parade. St George's day is actually tomorrow so they hold the parades on the nearest Sunday. (I only know that, because it's also my DS2's birthday! LOL) I hope the sun shines for them. Hope to see some photos.

A very busy day ahead for me. DS2 and DIL need to empty the loft of their old house today. OH is still decorating there, so guess who is looking after 2 GDs, puppy, and her own dog!! I hope it doesn't take all day!

                  Have a good day, everyone.

I was a Brownie Guider for nine years and for some reason, we did not take part in St.Georges Day parade, just the cubs and scouts.
We had a storm in the night but it didn't last long and wasn't very close. I hope it has cooled things off for the London Marathon.

Daisy that sounds like a busy day for you.

Welcome back Nanto, look forward to reading your Journal

                        Good morning all .

As it looked like rain we went out and repotted the bamboo bush before the weather changed . What a hard job it turned out to be. We puffed, pushed and pulled at the dam thing and then it occurred to me mid pushing and pulling I said this is like a scene from Call the Midwife, "Look "I said "I can see the head " and then I broke into laughter much to OH annoyance . To say he got a little cross is putting it mildly. I pulled myself together until stomped off into the shed only to emerge with a mallet held aloft ready to wack the pot that was refusing to let go off the bamboo. I then collapsed with laughter again. We did eventually succeed with the job in hand and came in for a much deserved cup of coffee. Hopefully when the weather bucks up I can get on with a few more jobs outside that need doing.

                        Welcome home Nan2

                        Have a lovely Sunday everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                          That’s funny, Mimi....was it a boy or a girl?😀

We had thunder and lightening last night and lots of rain but it’s lovely again today. We’ve spent a bit of time in the garden again and I’ve sown a packet of wild flower seeds, the start of my “wild”garden. I good excuse to ignore the weeks 😀 although I did clear most of them out.

We’re going to have a restful afternoon, I have to stop DH doing too much. Enjoy the sunshine everyone 😀

Well done to Josh's team Oma!

We went to collect the gas cylinder from our friends and ended up staying a fair while! We hadn't intended to even go in, as one of them is still in the early stages of recovering from heart bypass surgery. They asked us in however and she seemed to enjoy us all chatting, but I could see she was really tired by the time we left.
Off to mum's soon. OH was going to do a little gardening for her while we were there, but it;s raining (where did that sun go to??) so maybe not.
