All went very quickly at the hospital, no waiting at all. So we had a nice lunch in the cafe. Two scans, lunch and home In Just over an hour! Boiling hot so now enjoying a cuppa in the cool of the lounge

Afternoon ladies. Late again but busy entertaining niece and dog 🐕 Walk through woods this morning.Salad lunch,then walk to beach. Too hot really but niece wanted dog to have swim in the sea.Very hot walking back as sun on our backs. Staggered in for squash,cup of tea and ice cream!

Well, today seems to have gone quite smoothly for us all, apart from Libra and Clover getting nasty hackers on their FB accounts. Well done Nana on getting onto the case so quickly.

Clover - that sounds a lovely walk and I bet your niece's dog was grateful for the swim. I haven't taken Eva out at all today - even first thing was too hot. She's made up for it by playing ball all evening - much more entertaining than the football!!!

If my poor over-worked hissy thing has recovered tomorrow, I've got just a few more items for it to hiss over, then it's done! For now, anyway!

Was up extra early today woke with the birds singing at 4.30so got up , and had a tea sitting in the garden ,
Then I have done my house work and ironed what I washed yesterday before it gets too hot ,
Everything done just waiting for Storm to arrive , B making bread so no need to go out today

Good morning, everyone.

Oma - glad you had a lovely day for your birthday. I thought I was up early this morning - 6.30 - but 4.30 really IS early. I bet it was lovely sitting in the garden at that time, though. I can't claim to have done any housework, though. But I have watered the garden as I didn't do it last night.

My hot hissy thing's looking bright and perky this morning, so I'm going to finish of the bit of ironing I left yesterday, then try and do some gardening in the shady areas.

It's too hot to walk Eva, and I've just read the most horrible description of what happens to a dog if it overheats, so I'm being extra careful.

Today we are meeting up with DD2 and two of her friends, here for a few days as part of DD's 40th birthday celebrations.
They would like a beach day so we will join them. It is reported to be only 10 minutes walk from here but we have never managed to find it on previous trips!!

DD and SIL arrive back sometime today. I am going to an Ex-Guiders camp for the day, so I shall be sitting in a field, hat all ready plus a chair, cutlery and crockery for my lunch cooked over an open fire (bit hot for the cook). Some ladies are sleeping in the house. It is an old school building bought for Brownies etc for holidays. It is opposite the Chequers Estate. Kitten up the largest tree in the garden yesterday evening, couldn't get down, after several attempts to get him, we just left him to sort it himself. I went to check on him later and our neighbour was just reaching up for him, he was on a lower branch overhanging their garden, he doesn't learn.

Gem - how lovely to have a day on the beach with DD2. That 10 minute walk could be a lot longer if you can't find the right place.

Another hot morning here. Nothing planned today. Daisy, I read about the dogs too, to awful to think about, when he’s here Dexter pesters me to keep throwing his ball for him but I won’t do it until later in the afternoon and the garden is more shady. He spends most of his time lying on the tiles in the kitchen. Have you read about some of the responses from people who have had their dogs rescued from cars. Unbelievable !

DH feeling very tired and lethargic, he can’t believe how this is affecting him. Have a good day folks, keep cool 🌞😎

Daisy have you seen some of the pictures of burned paws , it's awful poor dogs . Some people shouldn't be allowed pets ,
