We have Storm today instead of tomorrow as his other Gran has appointments today ( her day to have him)
It works for us too as I have my Diabetic eye and feet check tomorrow so wont have to leave him alone for a few hours .

Tried our bed, the spare bed, the Sofa last night but no sleep again so I was sitting in the garden reading at 4.30 this morning , glad im not doing anything today
A nana nap for 30mins after lunch I think .

Libra, very exciting day for your GD visiting her new school. Your daughter must have needed that sleep.
I couldn't wake up this morning, woke about 8am, visited the toilet and then flopped back in bed and had another hour but had strange dreams. Still feel half asleep, must get a move on, not that I have any plans.

Morning peeps a hot one and I don’t know if I’m the first to say it’s getting me down this heat, I love the summer weather but this is just too much the temps are so high I can’t function properly, and you poor folk not sleeping must be awful. Yesterday OH pressure washed the garden furniture and today he is sanding down and I have offered to teak oil them, I don’t like doing it especially in this heat but it’s to get hotter than ever by the weekend, oil is not easy to put on it gets everywhere this time I have a spray and then will spread with a brush
DS son and family is having a lovely week away by the sound of things
Libra caught up on the thread about T I do hope everything will work out eventually and that M likes her new school, new school fresh start
Gem don’t you find you wash things from holidays whether you've worn them or not , or that aren’t reallly dirty, just want freshening up i put some bits well bedding off the spare bed even though nobody has slept in it 🤨 just to freshen them up

Qwerty - I feel for you! My OH doesn't like the hot weather much either. I love it provided I can dress for the heat - cool cotton t-shirts etc - and go at my own pace. It's fantastic to go out without even thinking about a coat or cardigan. Glad DS and family are having fun.

Mimi - enjoy your week-end. I bet you'll have a great time. Did Gem send you some of her washing?

Plant - recent events have probably caught up with you - the sadness about your sister, plus worrying about your other sister. You're probably more tired than you realised.

Gem - there's always loads of washing after a holiday - I don't know where it all comes from! At least you can get it dry in this weather! Just don't think about the ironing !! Di you and your mum go to see your sister? Thank goodness the neighbour's cat turned up safe and sound.

We've had Cooper for the day today. He was very good apart from eating a gift bag I was about to put a friend's birthday present into, and possibly eating the squeak out of a toy.

Tomorrow I'm off to get my hearing (or lack of) tested! Otherwise a quiet day - thank goodness!!!

The b****y cat led me a merry dance today! Fine when I fed her breakfast and let her into the garden for a bit. When I went to see her just after midday, and to move the post she was fine again. Until just before I wanted to go.then she hopped through the fence and would not come back. In the end I went home for a shower, then back, still no sign of her. Nipped home again to hoover up cat hair, then back and still no 🐈. This continued. I cancelled going to see my sister, due to this damned cat, and not really fancying mum and I stuck in car for so long on a hot day. We will go next week. The cat is actually lovely, but I wish she would stay in the garden!! Her owners return tomorrow.

First to the chatbox,!! I have been awake ages so finally got up for a cup of tea.Of course the 3 cats think it is breakfast time! I will go back to bed soon and hope for more sleep.
Usual Friday routine for me. GS2 here, then school run for GD. OH is around so GS can nap on while I go for his sister.

Good morning everyone. Gem, I thought I was an early bird today, but 4.30 is definitely a winner!!! I hope you got back to sleep eventually. You can usually tempt wandering dogs back by rattling their treats bag, but I suppose cats are above falling for such low cunning. I'm sure you'll be glad to see the owners back!

Another lovely sunny day here as well, Nanto.

I'm off to get my hearing test in about an hour. After that it will be pottering and starting to get ready for going away next Wednesday.

Morning ladies , all early birds this morning ,
Its been manic hear , last night SIL informed me he will be putting the last of the carpets down in our room this morning and then that's all upstairs and the stairs finished ,
So up early for us clearing the room ,scrubbing skirting ( don't need painting they were done a few weeks ago ) getting old carpet cut up and in rolls ready for the tip ,

Hoovered and dusted downstairs then had a shower put bedding in wash and washed the floors downstairs ,

I have my yearly eye and feet Diabetic check this morning too , so will have to leave SIL too it , He has a key so not a problem
