    Good morning ladies

Rain here too Nan2, I'm hoping for sun later!
    Aww, Nana, how sweet
Daisy GS, 5 still likes cuddles, GD, 8, not at all!

DD3 and SIL fly around 5pm, so will arrive in Toronto around midnight our time I think. Exciting, happy and scary and emotional day for them, I'm sure.

Two of my best friends are coming round with a takeaway tonight. This afternoon I am going to the cinema. This morning, some of that housework stuff to do!
I really hope the weather improves for my OH and her friends. It wasn't so good yesterday, and OH had to buy a jumper to wear to play in today!

    Have a good day everyone.

We played in the garden, pottered around the house - GD enjoys 'dusting' although there is more enthusiasm than expertise. After lunch we gave Cooper a towel (he likes to use it like a comforter to settle himself down to sleep) and DG came on my lap looking for a cuddle - or two. She's so sweet when she does this. We had a long conversation about how skin wrinkles when it's very old, and as she rightly pointed out she didn't have any wrinkles at all, even though she will be old enough to start school in September!

I just hope she doesn't feel too old for cuddles when she does start big school!

Gem - that was good timing. OH will be pleased she doesn't have to tackle any more trees!
Daisy this reminds me when GS2 was small he was sitting on my lap looking at my face and he said , Nana whats those lines on your face , so I said well everytime something happens in life God draws a line so I wont forget it ,
He then said well Nana take his pens away from him you have no more room

Oma, she took a light jacket for the evening I think, but nothing suitable to play golf if it was cool.

Good morning everyone. Nanto - that graphic made me laugh out loud. Imagine the joy of all those carrots if you are a rabbit!!!

Gem - I should have read this thread before your Countdown to Canada - I was asking about DD3's flight times! Oh dear, I hope the weather improves for S! I'm glad you've got a busy day. What film are you going to see?

Nana - awww, what a little sweetie your GS is. My GD1 who is nearly 8 isn't into cuddles so often now, so when she does want a cuddle it's all the more precious!

Unusually for Tuesdays I am picking GD2 up from playgroup at 3 pm. I know her mum and dad are planning for her to have more playgroup hours this half term - her last! - but I don't know whether Tuesday will be a regular thing or not. When I've collected her I'll go to the shop and collect Cooper and GD1 who will go there straight from school. Then take all 3 back to their house until mum and dad get home. Then it will be a race back home, get a meal and go to dog training. I think I'd better do a cooked dinner for mid-day today!

It's dull and overcast here, but dry, so I might try and get a bit of gardening done as well!

Well, I was going for my blood test but checked to see the time & it's tomoro🤣 We were going to see my brother but he cancelled...good job he did as OH was up & down through the night with a sickness bug.

Gem looking forward to hearing all your DD3s exciting news. Glad to see you're keeping busy. When's S back? Oma, I hope your GS has kept his brilliant sense of humour. Hope you all have a good day.

Nothing planned, I made my painful rib worse yesterday stripping the bed and pulling at the mattress to turn it around, plus washing all the bedding and cleaning the en-suite after the plumber fixed the flush. The pain was dreadful when I got into bed, couldn't get comfortable and had to take painkillers. Managed to sleep quite well after that but I am going to take things easy today, the other bathroom can wait, might do some sewing. I am taking GS3 out to lunch on Thursday, it is his 19th birthday I don't want to be in pain and tomorrow I am going on a farm visit with WI. I am wishing the summer away wanting to get my wheels.

Gemini, your day sounds nice, you have some good friends keeping you company whilst S is away.

Good morning all. How is everyone.
Yesterday a new addition to the family arrived , its a metal cockerel garden ornament . At the moment the cat refuses to go near it

We were going to the cinema this morning but OH wasn't feeling 100% so thought it best to stay at home. We plan to go and see his sister on Thursday as she had her second knee replacement surgery last week .

Its overcast and a bit on the chilly side here , hope its better where you are
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I hope OH is better soon and you don't go down with it Nana.
Another poorly OH Mimi! I hope yours feels better soon too.
                        Happy gardening Grauntie.
My OH will be back on Friday, around teatime Nana.

Daisy I want to see both Book Club and the film with Sheila Hancock ( forget the title) I will probably see one today and one tomorrow. Vue tickets are all £4.99 at present, so it wont break the bank I want some more bedding plants for a hanging basket, so will do that while I am out.

My evening with my friends isn't happening tonight, as one of my friends isn't well. They may come on Thursday night instead, just waiting to hear back from our other friend.

I certainly hope all the poorly people feel better pdq.
I had a phone call from my cleaning lady this morning. She also does for my friend 3 houses away. My friend had gone out and locked up forgetting that Sarah was beavering away inside. 😂🤣😆. Luckily I have a set of keys so I could let her out. What a good job she didn’t set the alarm, poor Sarah would never have been the same again. 😬
I have been to the garden centre and come home laden. Just had a text from DD1 to say it’s Sports day at GCs school today so planting will have to wait!

Well at last a few moments alone with my gnetters , a lovely day today car had to be taken in for some modification so we had to have lunch out !!!!
Dil dad and wife are over from Tawaiin tomorrow for 6 weeks so we have been let off the leash a little 😂 and I’m giddy about it , love them like I do but a break is always nice, I will see them but more in a visiting mode than anything else
Now how the devil are you all, I spoke to Enfys yesterday and she seems to be holding things together, and Gem whilst a little sad will not remain that way after a few days.
My drawers are in my drawers at last , liked the concept of going commando in the summer like Wee Granny but how would I keep my Tena in place you see you havnt thought it out.
GM a good day for Sports day but short notice 🤨 blimey the planting will have to wait, and I think your friend locked her cleaner in on purpose so whilst she was hanging about she do some extras
Lots of folk not feeling too good hope they are better soon
Gem enjoy the movies Book Club looks good I fancied that , you will be glad when S is home I bet , safe journey for Dd3 and partner
.Plant have you fallen, I must find your post , please take it easy , I was sorry to hear about your sister was she younger or older? , you sound like you are coping with the loss, is this the sister you go on holiday with now and again ?
Daisy busy busy as usual. I was in at the deep end as soon as I was home, but September does creep nearer for us doesn’t it
Oma get down to Boots soon and buy some regenerating cream 🤣 times running out

Forgot to mention it’s the third time I have lost specs on holiday I’m hopeless , we have to pay the first £100 and each time out home insurance goes up , so not bothering I bought 2 pr at the time BOGOF and might just get some cheap reading glasses, I hardly wear them even though they are varifocals and that’s the problem they are on and off my face all day can’t stand them on for long, I know I had them on when we went on the London eye as I took a selfie of the three of us and they were on my face then, we went in a shop and went for a coffee, went back 3 times hoping eventually they would turn up but to no avail will I never learn 🤓

I did go on holiday with my sister Qwerty who has just passed away, that was 3 years ago, we went to a Warners. Haven't got the funeral date yet, DS or DD will take me if they can, it is nearly a 2 hour journey but if they are unable to I have a quote from a local taxi company, I wouldn't go back to the house either way. Just want to be at her funeral, her sons said they would pick my other sister up if she is well enough, she will be 90 this year and doesn't have good health. I don't remember hurting my ribs but obviously made it worse yesterday, taking thing easy today.
