After a rather cloudy but warm morning, the sun is now shining.
I've cut the grass and hubby has tidied some edges and borders.
We can forget about the garden now for a day or two.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
We have been blessed with a beautiful sunny day - quite hot, but with a breeze to keep the air fresh!
We've spent most of the day in the garden. OH (who hates gardening) weeded most of the two borders - he did the hardest part, thank goodness. I cleared out the troughs, replaced the compost in them with some good, well-rotted manure and fresh compost. I planted 7 tomato plants and a pumpkin, and planted a courgette in an Ali Baba-style pot. We had some manure left over so we fed/mulched the roses, phlox and paeony with it. Too late I remembered we've got Cooper here tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure he won't ignore all that lovely rich manure!
At 7 o'clock it was still too warm to take Eva for a run, but she'll have Cooper to play with tomorrow, and she's been in the garden with us all day today.
Tomorrow is my usual busy day, but being half-term we'll have GD1 and GD2. I hope the weather stays nice!
Grauntie - safe journey. I hope you have a lovely time in Yorkshire.
Nana - I do hope both your appointments go well tomorrow. xx
Nanto - isn't it a lovely feeling when a job is finished, and you know it will last at least a few days!
Oma - I bet you had lots of laughs!

In a Premier Inn in Drighlington now. We have just had a very good dinner after visiting B and SiL. Moving on northward to visit friends near Richmond tomorrow and hoping to do my favourite walk, Gunnerside Ghyll, sometime before the weekend.
Stay fit and healthy all of you. Enjoy your week.
Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.
Eleanor Roosevelt.
Morning all got DD to Doctors on time which is a minor miracle. Having her weekly blood test, got to get her an emergency prescription as well. Terrible night point blank refused to take her meds. Another fun filled day.

Had a bad night only got two hours sleep , i'm so tired but I just cant go to sleep , went from bed room to bedroom during night , even tried the sofa with no joy .
Intended starting the fence painting today but i'm too tired and anyway its that horrible fine misty drizzle ,
Been to garden centre for herbs for new planters but they didn't have much in so going to another one after lunch
Both GDs and Cooper are here, and OH has a meeting with someone, so they are in the dining room with the doors firmly shut, much to the frustrations of both girls and both dogs!
It's gone very quiet - I'd better go, but hope to catch up later!
