Good morning everyone.
I'm sure your DS will love that birthday cake Libra!
Poor Eva, Daisy.
Well my time doesn't change automatically (I must look into that!!) It is easy to change on your profile though, the setting should be GMT+1 now. Admin can easily change your profile so say if you want us to
Today OH will be playing in golf competition, with bacon sandwiches to begin then a meal afterwards, so will be gone all day. The sun is shining so it will be a lovely day for them, after all the cancelled events.
I will go to see my mum this afternoon and take her audio books and some shopping she asked for. I am going to go into town this morning as I want a Claire's voucher for GD. As GS1 is having his Build a Bear experience I want to give the other two more than just an Easter egg. GD will never ask for anything, so I have opted for this, as she loves Claire's rubbish
Enjoy your day, whatever you do!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hi Oma! Good to hear you are better, but take it easy and get rid of that headache.
We will keep the TV here until OH can come with me to set it up. I will tell mum all about it today though. We want it set up before the UK snooker championships“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Afternoon ladies, went to visit DD with SIL and girls, a bit better today after yesterday's awful episode which I will explain in YEO. On the way back we went to look at the bungalow I rather like, it's vacant so we had a nosey through the Windows The back garden is small to say the least, but we don't want a big one like we currently have and at least it's flat. There is a little gate from the back to a garage. Very private and quiet area, with a little green at the front of the bungalows. It has 1 double and 2 small bedrooms, lounge/diner smaller than mine. A kitchen and a shower room with basin and loo. Would need some TLC and money thrown at it, but lots to think about. Sun has shone all day, SIL has gone for a ramble with the girls, I said I'm getting enough exercise at the moment without needing a long ramble. ☺

Libra, I'm glad your DD seemed better than yesterday. As you say there is a lot to think about re uppping sticks, moving and buying a new property.
I hope the baby has a lovely party Plant.
Not much cooking for me either Nan2. Only me, so I am having a salmon fillet with cream cheese and chives on top, baked potato, green beans and broccoli.
I have had a nice day. Instead of going to Claire's in town as planned, I went to the Designer Outlet, as DD2 and children were going for a quick lunch there. I had a nice time with them, then went to Claire's for GD's voucher. I also wanted to go to Holland and Barratt for my hair colour. Then to Sketchers, a shop I love. I intended to buy only one pair, but there was a get a second pair with 30% off offer. As there were several pairs I liked, I came home with 2
I looked around the new Moulton Brown shop, but even at outlet prices it is too expensive for me, except as presents for others.
I went to see my mum, then on the way home treated myself to a McDonalds vanilla milkshake.
It is very sunny again, after clouding over for a while earlier. I'm sure OH etc will have had a good day on the course.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Lunch was a success, but boy am I shattered now! Ended up with 60 people and what we thought was too much food! Wrong! There was hardly anything left, though I did bring home a piece of toffee apple cake made by one of the men which was absolutely scrumptious! Dread to think how many calories were in it! Kind of sad to think we'll have to get used to a new congregation and possible new ways of worshipping! And there might be twice as many at the next lunch....we'll have to get a bigger hall! The baby being baptised was an absolute sweetie. Not a sound as the water was put on her head and she took it all in as the minister took her round the Church to meet the congregation. Her big sister very proudly poured the water into the font!
Sun is shining now after a grey drizzly start, so we've had a walk round the village. Since we've had lots of new houses built we've found that the newcomers mostly speak to you, which is rather nice, because this isn't the friendliest of places.
Final clear out tomorrow before D-day!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

It seems we've all had a busy day, so hopefully we'll all sleep well tonight, Nanto!
WeeGranny - well done on a very successful lunch. Having very little left shows you got it just right - nobody went hungry and there wasn't a mound of wasted food. I bet that toffee apple cake tasted delicious after all your hard work. Word will spread and the next lunch is sure to be bigger. I do hope your congregations meld together. I'm not a regular enough church goer to get used to different forms of service, but feel very lost if it's not pretty traditional. It was always interesting photographing church weddings - some churches were very specific about what the bridal pair could or couldn't have, and other much more flexible. It must be lovely to have friendly incomers to your village, and I bet they appreciate exchanging time of day with long-term residents.
Gem - you've had lots of retail therapy this week-end!Did OH enjoy her golfing day?
LG - as you say, there's a lot to consider when a move is on the cards - good luck with whatever you decide to do. xx
Plant - did the birthday boy enjoy his party?
I caught up with a few loads of washing this morning - but it looked as though it might rain, so I dried it indoors. We had an early lunch and then met DS2 and family and puppy at the paddock for a run. Eva really needed to let off steam after yesterday, and ended up exhausted. We went back to DS2's for a cup of tea and she got fed up with Cooper still wanting to play, so we popped her back in to the car and she went to sleep. But we were pleased that even though she was obviously fed up she just walked away from him. GD1 is over the moon that her Rubik Cube 'act' has been chosen for the school's talent competition this coming week. I think there are 3 or 4 acts chosen from each class. We didn't get home until 5 o'clock and because it was so light I started pottering round, then about 7 pm realised I hadn't made any dinner!! Quick jacket potatoes, tinned tuna and sardines and a salad - so it didn't take long or need much clearing up afterwards.
