We have drizzle again, hope they are right that the weather is going to improve. GD is going to take me shopping and I need to pick up some tablets. Can't be too long because the kitten has to be looked after. DD, home for school holiday is needing to get some work done. He needs watching when he is awake, I presume that will be my job when they will all be working next week. He eventually flops and sleeps for a couple of hours.

Sounds good value Gemini, you enjoy quizzes. I am useless at quizzes.

It doesn't matter if you are useless Plant (which I'm sure you are not) its done in teams and someone will know the answer

We do quizzes occasionally at Trefoil Guild, did one this week on birds (not too bad at that) trees etc. Some of our members love them.

Plant - I'm useless at quizzes as well - I know nothing about sport, films or film stars, celebrities in general or tv! The kitten sounds as though he's finding his feet - or rather paws! - and getting up to mischief! I hope he gives you some lovely cuddles for looking after him.

Gem - we were once at a quiz where people could submit questions in advance. We were a team of 6. It came to one question and we all looked expectantly at one friend - the question was in his area of expertise. He looked embarrassed that he didn't know the answer - very embarrassed, because he had submitted the question!

Oma - I hope the rain stops soon. It's still dry here (she says, whispering).

I ought to get some washing in and perhaps be able to dry it outside.

No, Oma, no Cooper today. I have him part of Mondays and all day Tuesday. Otherwise only if something crops up for his mum and dad. Normally they take him to work with them, but if they know they're going to be very busy or one of them has to go somewhere during the day then I'll have him. They can't have him in the shop if there's only one of them there.

..and no GS2 and GD for me today! As we had GD out all day on Wednesday, DD sent GS2 to his nursery for the full day and she worked all day and is taking today off

DD just phoned....can she pop over and see us as she's in the area! Now she lives other side of London and works in London, so not quite in our area. Seems she's been headhunted for a job not too far from here and she's out having a chat and look around! Would be lovely if she got it and moved nearer, but shan't hold my breath.

Kitchen on final stretch! Hoovering being done, wraps coming of cupboards etc, white goods all work.......and it looks twice as big as it did!!

We had a glimpse of sun earlier....but it didn't stay for long. Definitely warmer though!

Enjoy your day ladies whatever you're up to.x

Window cleaner has been, I have done a couple of things, but nothing too taxing, a lazy day! I will pop out to the library later, and then beautify myself for the quiz night
OH is outside cleaning the greenhouse and preparing some seeds.

Afternoon all Hope I find you all well.

We had a lovely day yesterday with DD and two GS's . Youngest GS wasn't at all shy with us this time so I was able to have some very missed cuddles . Order GS had lots of cuddles for us, along with lots of chatter . The weather was overcast but dry unlike here when we got home , apparently it had been raining all day .
Today I had to see the dentist about my broken tooth and thankfully she was able to repair it so no loss of a tooth or an expensive crown.

WeeGranny lovely to hear that the kitchen is all coming together.

Nan2 , when are you going to Spain, please, pleas can you bring some sunshine back with you
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Nice to be headhunted WG, would they consider moving from Bucks, lovely to be nearer to you. Very exciting for you as the kitchen is nearly finished and everything is working.

Mimi, pleased the dentist was able to save your tooth and money.

It’s been a funny old week. I seem to have been here, there and everywhere. Today OH and I have decided it is a non achieving day. We have done nowt.
Nanto2 we are off to Spain (Costa del Sol) on Tuesday too! The forecast looks pleasant enough, not too hot so we will be walking quite a bit I hope.
Nice things happening for lots of people today on here it seems. Long may they continue.
