As it's late I just want to say that Mum was like your's Gem. She worried & fussed over the smallest insignificant thing. Yet when it came to something major she took it all in her stride without any fuss at all. Strange isn't it."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning, Nanto and everyone. It's raining here, too, although not quite as bad as yesterday. By the time it came for walkies it was torrential. Eva doesn't enjoy being out when it's like that - I think the gusts of wind and the noise worry her, so we'll have to hope for better today.
Yesterday I did housework!!!!! It took all morning to do the living room, hall, kitchen and a few loads of washing. I don't know how you ladies get twice that done before I've even thought about breakfast!
This morning we have visitiors - friends of a friend. He is just starting wood turning and wants to talk lathes and tools with OH. We ladies will just have to sit and have a coffee and cake!!!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning everyone.
Nana it's funny you should say that about my mum, as she coped remarkably well with my cancer diagnosis and treatment last year, much better than I feared. OH and I say we can't imagine her waiting in oncologists waiting rooms as we have to do though, she is in right state just waiting for a BP check !!
Daisy, coffee and cake after all that housework is a great idea!
Enjoy coffee and catch up with friends Nan2, one of my favourite activities!
It was a wet night here, but it's not raining now.

Good moaning each.
Recovering after a βsocialβ at OHβs golf club last night. I havenβt danced that much in ages. It was a good evening.
Off to visit friends today, we met when they came to view our house 40 years ago and have remained close friends ever since. (They did buy it).

Keeping her warm and free from bed sores, very important. they are truly looking after her.
GM sounds like a good night out, hope you haven't got a sore head.
My GD came in and woke me up at 10am, I had been awake a bit in the night and once the heating comes on no telling what time I would have woken up. We are expecting GD2 and her boyfriend today for a few days, they are both getting towards the end of their degrees. He is studying at Leeds. DD now has her dress, a pimple of a hat, shoes, just needs a bag and then we are all complete for the wedding. It is only four weeks now. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Gosh, not too long until the wedding Plant.
Well I gave OH some reflexology this morning as she hadn't had any for ages. The practice is good for me too, as I have far fewer clients now!
Then a lovely bouquet arrived from DD1
OH wants us to clear out the loft, or rather make a start, this afternoon, but I am resistant who shall see who wins!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

By the time we were ready to go into town, the rain had stopped.
Had a lovely catch up with friends over a coffee or two.
Did a bit of shopping in town, had a lovey dinner.
Called in Asda on our way home. Got all the Easter eggs,so they are done with.
All the Easter eggs on one of the shelves were broken.
One of the assistants said kids come in and deliberatly break them.
Well no way was i buying broken ones, so she opened a new box.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We settled down to a game of Scrabble and a cup of tea this afternoon (we know how to live on a Saturday ) and mum phoned. She had already phoned about something else, then phoned back. She had switched her gas fire off instead of up (she normally leave it on throughout winter as she has no central heating) So, we had to abandon everything and go over. This happened a couple of weeks ago and it was hard for OH to fix it. This time took it took ages and we thought we were going to have to give up.
Anyway, eventually OH got the stupid thing going, and we came home and got our scrabble games!
Mum is still saying she may not come to DD's tomorrow, so we shall see
I bet your MIL loved that Oma.
Nasty children Nan2!
