Breakdown arrived with car yesterday, he put it front forward facing the garage door, I really ought to stroke it . Engineer from Churchill Insurance coming today to asses the damage and then Sytner (where I bought it) price the work and I hope they agree because I do want them to do the work. Friend gave me a lift to Embroidery Group last evening and someone is giving me a lift to my ex.Guiders group this evening. Having to stay in all day means my knitting is growing, I am making a jumper for baby E. I just wish the weather was better then I could get on with some gardening.

Nan2 , OH was only talking about the corned beef hash I used to make when we had a house full of family but there is only the two of us now I don't make it any more . It hardly seems worth it as I would only be making it for one as I don't like corned beef. I could buy one ready made I suppose but they don.t look all that appetising.

Update on the spilled pasta incident! The back of friends ( dry clean only) dress is splashed with the sauce 😨 None of us thought to check that.

Glad tour appointment went well Clover.

Both Ps appointment were good too. His cardiac assessment went very well, finished early so we had an hour and a half wait for his next appointment. Went along to the clinic and they weren’t busy so we got in almost straight away! So lucky. This was his diabetic check up and all was good too.

Went on a trip with a group I belong to, to the local recycling plant this morning. It was actually very interesting and made me think a bit more about recycling properly! Although you can see the site from the main road, I hadn't realised just how big it really is. We were taken round in a mini-bus. Mind you I wouldn't haven't wanted to walk very far because of the state of the roads! Dumper trucks and refuse lorries on the go all day so it's hardly surprising there was a lot of mud and pot holes

Fish and chips tonight......I have checked that the chippie will be open!

Fitters assure me kitchen will be finished on Friday. Looks good already, so looking forward to final finishing touches.

I ended up doing more than I intended, waiting for the rain to ease of before I walked Shiloh. Made a fruit cake as well as making pizzas for tea. Rice pud in the oven, and I finished another stage of my craft project. Must,must colour my hair later, it really is a frightful mess. Got neglected while I was away. Estate agent coming to do a valuation on our bungalow tomorrow 😮
