Enfys - did your OH get out with his cameras?I got as far as thinking about it, but to take anything interesting I would have had to get the car out, and our road was treacherous, and the light wasn't great.

Qwerty - I have a lovely mental picture of you and your OH skating gracefully around! The Baileys will set you up for the twins' sleepover tomorrow.

WG - Pleased to hear that your son is doing well. It must be reassuring to see a photo.

Nanto - it warmed up a degree or two here today - and reached 0C!! Not enough to melt the frozen top layer of snow and now it's snowing again.

Oma - Storm looks blissfully happy!

Gem - I bet GD enjoyed the World Book Day - our GD1 was disappointed to have missed it.

Our binmen didn't make it today, but we didn't expect them to. We didn't even bother putting our bins out, but at least we have a weekly collection.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. Am I the first one up today? That must be a first.

It's much warmer this morning, and the snow is melting fast. Biblical floods are on the way!

Had about ½ inch of snow during the night.

Dad rang an hour ago,to see if we had got our bin out.
He said bin men were round their way.
We are only 3 streets away from them,so hopefully we will get our emptied today.

Good morning Daisy, Nan2 and all to follow!

Nan2, a light dusting overnight here too. Lucky you getting your bins emptied! ours is almost full and they won't come for 2 weeks.
GD was happy that she could go to World Book Day Daisy. As the school was closed on the actual day they held it yesterday, which was a good idea I thought.

Nothing planned today, almost unheard of!!
enjoy your Saturday everyone, and I hope you are not snowed in!

Good morning all. Definately not as cold here this morning, it’s pouring with rain and the snow is melting fast. Daisy, no DH didn’t get out with his camera after all. He kept putting it off and it was so cold outside. I think he’s missed his chance! Lots of birds around this morning, poor things must be so hungry. I will clear a space on the path and put something out for them and on the bird table too. Have a good day everyone 🙂

                    A chilly good morning.

Snow has virtually disappeared. We even had our bins emptied yesterday!
We were lucky as in Cardiff where DS2 lives roads are blocked and there are large drifts. He worked from home as no way could he get his car out anyway from the car park attached to his flats. It is on the top floor of a dual story car park exposed to the elements and s*ds law at the farthest end from the exit.

A quick trip to the nearest shop for a paper for me and then in for the rest of the day. It’s still bitterly cold.

Oma, this weather is in Storm’s DNA. He must feel really at home.

                    Have a good day ladies.

Morning ladies the big thaw has started, still dangerous under foot, and roads still bad especially as we live in a side road.
I want to try and wrap up warm and get outside even for a little while, I have walking boots with a metal spur on the sole for grip. I am desperate for a bit of different scenery.
My student stayed in an hotel overnight, and will attempt to get here today.
                      Have a good restful saturday.
Plant I have students as and when it suits me, more so in the summer months, when the school really depend on host families.

                        Morning ladies ,
Went to Aldi at the top of our estate but had to take the long way around via the highway as the road behind our fence we use was lethal , the snow is powdery making it very hard for tyres to grip .

Clover it is in his DNA he took a right strop when I made him come in , I bribed him with food and closed the door as soon as he was in , He huffed and puffed grumbled and whined and wandered around till I made him lie down

Morning ladies I trust you are all keeping warm in this horrible weather.
We didn't even attempt to go out yesterday but OH has been out this morning . Our lovely neighbour from upstairs came and checked on us yesterday to see if we needed anything from the shop and would we like her to clear our path. We told her we had a fridge/freezer and cupboard full of food so we are OK foe at least a week and as for the path we told her to leave it. Oh said it was a lovely thought but it made him /us feel so old.

I have been busy with my new pc. I have added Microsoft office on it, up to date security , iTunes and wireless printer. I am mid deleting lots of unwanted photos on this desktop before I transfer the ones I want to keep on a USB flash drive. Then I think I will be able to wipe this pc of all my personal details.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and I will pop on here at a later date......back to the phots I suppose !
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
