Hope the twins slept well Qwerty, that sounded like a lovely but tiring day with them

Went out to lunch yesterday with some of the family and the other GM. GD2 was home from Uni. because the lecturers are on strike for 2, 3, and 4 days a week over 4 weeks and they are asked not to use the library. Fortunately she is only in London so she can get home, she will be home for her mothers birthday tomorrow. the Universities don't know what to do with their money, they are buying up buildings and extending, paying their Vice Chancellors large salaries and charging the students so much they come away with huge debts. My GD will have a loan to pay-off of £40,000 when she graduates this year. They are reviewing the Lecturers pensions that is why they are on strike.
Saw baby E, he is a character, his parents had taken him sledging, my GS can't wait for him to be doing more. the wedding is getting ever closer and the bride, when she was here yesterday was saying what still has to be done. They are going for a practise run at the venue with the photographer this week. (how about that Daisy). DD and my two GD had a fashion show of their outfits for the other GM, when she saw my DD's dress she was speechless, she looks gorgeous.

Have a lovely lunch Gemini, now the snow is melting I suppose S will be getting back to her golf.

Afternoon ladies of GRU chaos has become calm lol, they went home a couple of hours ago reluctantly I add and that was just the parents lol, they slept all night usual do , I think it’s my bed it is such s comfortsble bed plus I heat it up for them before bed so it’s warm to get into, we put bed sides up so no risk of falling out as the bed is quite high, heard them stir about 7.30 so popped downstairs put the heating on and got in bed with them and we played I spy for half an hour . A lovely bunch of flowers came my way from DS and dil so worth the effort although I have told them not buy me them , all the same it is appreciated .

That's the rain on now and looks as if it's set for the rest of the day! Had a walk round village and got back just as the first drops were falling.

Got two cupboards sorted yesterday and there's a large bag waiting to go to the charity shop. Not in the mood to do any today though!

Steak and chips for dinner tonight!!

                              Good Sunday evening, everyone.

I almost got on here to say 'hello' this morning, but fortunately I checked on the order of deliveries for the dog food, and realised we were very near the top. That was great, because it meant we could get the food into the freezer before we went out, but it did cause a bit of chaos, sorting it all out, letting DS2 know to come and get theirs and they getting it into the freezer. By then it was time to leave. We went up to DS1 and family for DIL's 50 birthday party. It was just the family do. Her birthday's on Tuesday, but we thought an early celebration was a good idea. So we had a lovely day, and were half way home when I realised I'd left my phone there! Of course, this was on a stretch of motorway where there was no way off it, so we drove all the way to Winchester, turned round and headed back up to Sandhurst, and then came home! I was so cross with myself! OH was a bit cross with himself too because DS1 had spotted the phone 5 minutes after we'd left and phoned my OH, who of course had his phone, but it was switched off!!!!

Gem - how lovely a day with no cooking.

It's been a nice day both here and in Sandhurst today - sunny and warm (well, about 8C, which feels warm after all the recent cold weather). It started to rain heavily when we were about 15 miles from home, but virtually all the snow has gone, but there was very little traffic on the roads - what a joy!

Qwerty - I'm glad you all slept well, but I bet you were ready for feet up and a quiet cuppa by the time they'd left.

Oma - naughty Storm! It's a good job he wasn't anywhere near your bacon butties!

Plant - I'm excited about the wedding too. Yes, I used to do a photographic 'walk through' withe the B & G as well. And I' do a recce to find the best locations and check where the sun would be, or what facilities we could use indoors if the weather was bad. It's also great for putting camera-shy brides or grooms at their ease. You can't be too prepared for a wedding - getting it wrong isn't an option!

WG - well done with your cupboard clearing. I still haven't finished the airing cupboard!

It's now Monday, (writing before I sleep) so yesterday OH bought a car, one previous owner but in great condition. It will replace the company car when that goes back. Guess he's one happy puppy. Not being sexist but what is it with men & cars? My first day out after two weeks poorly. Left with an awful cough but it was lovely to breath in that fresh air.
