Another indoors day for us, staying warm and busy. So pleased we did a good shop earlier in the week, for once the weather forecast was right. I have crafty projects to get on with and DH got his cameras out yeasterday and charged them up so today I think he wants to try and get outside to take some pictures. Another good sign that he is feeling better.

The local, school is closed and we watched loads of children going by yesterday with their sledges up to the common. There is a gentle hill there and it’s so much fun in the snow on a sledge. I remember taking our own children then GC when we had snow when they were little. Wouldn’t want to do it now though!

Stay warm and safe ladies and have a good day.

Good morning from a very snowy south. It is freezing on top of the snow so it is lethal. I have a student arriving from Italy, flying into stanstead. But quite how she gets from there to here I have no idea. We have emailed each other and she has my mobile number.
Gem glad you got to your event and home safely.
Daisy when your stuck indoors I suppose there is no escape from fluffy yellow things and sucky up things .
Hoping we do not get anymore snow. Please stay safe and warm today ladies.

Daisy the answer is to make more mess with ‘a project’ so it isn’t worth doing any clearing up yet. You can keep that up for ages if you try. 😉
Still grim here, poor DD1 is utterly exhausted as the stables are very hard work in this weather. Not much we can do to help although OH has offered.
Between here and Scrabble with some sewing in between I’m keeping occupied. (Please note no mention of h***e w*rk).

Tried going to the corner shop to at least get a daily paper, no chance hubby was slipping and sliding as our drive is quite steep, and he had snow chains on his boots. I am going to whip through some housework and then settle down with some knitting. My student will probably stay in London overnight, as all coaches are cancelled.

              Morning ladies ,
Gem so pleased you managed to get out and home again safely ,
Enfys I measure how well B is by what he cooks , when hes feeling top form he makes bread

GM my Nephews partner has horses and she works full time , they were at the stables till late last night she said it was back breaking work and she had to be up early for work , had to go in shes a carer so no choice ,
Libra as I said last night her flight may be cancelled , but if not there isn't much you can do for her so don't worry I'm sure she will be ok x

Mimi poor puss but better using the litter tray than getting lost in the snow

Well we made the effort and got the car out this morning , B is going stir crazy being stuck in , what with Hospital and then snow he feels like he's been no where for weeks ,
It didn't snow last night and the roads are compacted so it wasn't too bad as long as you take your time ,
Went to our shopping centre , had a browse around Asda then Sainsbury's , popped into Wilco , Superdrug and Bakers then home , only one bag of shopping as we were well stocked it was more to get out than anything .

I knocked on our elderly neighbours before I went to see if they needed anything , I brought milk and bread for them yesterday , but there Grandson and his wife were off work today so were picking them up to take them for a big shop so they were ok ,
Our other neighbour cleared there path yesterday but it was quite icy so I sprinkled salt down for them instead just so they could get in the car safely .

Sainsbury's have cleared a bit of the car park but to be honest its worse as its very slushy making it slippy ,

Be careful ladies if you go out but I'm sure we all know that

Sensible thing to do Libra , you don't want more problems and the air is bitter cold ,
Student would be wise to stay overnight in London then journey to yours during the day ,everything looks less troublesome in daylight xx

Yes stay inside, away from the cold air Libra! I don't have your problem but when I had that nasty virus a while ago, I really suffered every time I went into the biting cold air.

My DD2 had to go to London by train last night for meetings today. She is due home on the 5 pm from Kings Cross. I hope it runs and is on time.

We have snow and wind again, not sure if GD1 is home from work, I do hope so.

How often do you have students Libra?

Hubby thinks it has warmed up a degree or two.
It's thawing a bit now, but will freeze later i'm sure.
We had ice on the outside of patio door this morning, never had it like that before.

Just back from doing the weekly shop. The roads were clear and even the traffic seemed lighter. Snowing again now, but the wind is sooooo cold! That's me in for the night now! Hopefully, there'll be something decent on TV tonight to watch while I get on with my knitting.

Enfys I like the idea of your crochet thing. Must have a look and see if they do something with knitting.

DS sent photo last night and he's looking remarkably well after his op! Relieved in a way that he didn't want me to go out because I'd have been panicking about getting back home again! We'll see him in the warmer weather I think!

Take care all you ladies who are having much weather than we are.

                                Aww your Snowdog Oma
Qwerty, yes make the most of a quiet evening an Baileys before tomorrow night! When in Dunelm the other day btw, I noticed they have a range named about you and your OH!
God to hear your son is doing well WG.

Our road is so much better now the gritters have been . We now know the bins wont be emptied until the next regular time, 2 weeks away, so we have brought ours back in.
When I collected GD from school it was lovely seeing and the children coming out dressed as book characters. GD made a very cool Mad Hatter, if I say so myself. I will put a pic on my media.
