    Good morning everyone.

Daisy you are a superwoman! I wish you took more rest. The caravan break will be welcome I'm sure
That was disappointing about the fish and chips at the beach Oma, it sounded such a good idea.
Mimi, it's lovely to have family around, but also good to get your space back!
I hope you have a good day with the little ones Qwerty.
Nan2, it is a good idea to get thick jackets and the like washed now, I should follow your lead!

We had a lovely meal for DD's birthday yesterday The country pub is also a restaurant, and what we thought would be just a private room, was whole suite, upstairs! Massive lounge with sofas and chairs, big dining room with table beautifully set, and our own waitress. We even had our own toilet up there!
We had a long leisurely lunch, with drinks beforehand in our lounge, a happy day

We sat in the garden in the evening with our friends, but retired inside when it cooled down.

Golf for OH today, GS1 to collect from school for me, with a visit to mum on the way. This morning I must go out and shop for OH's birthday. She always borrows one of my small handbags when she has a golf club dinner, so I plan to buy her one of her own!

    Have a good day everyone.

Gemini, what a lovely weekend for you and your family, sounds like a good venue. Hope you find the small handbag for your OH.

It was lovely to see GS2, we hadn't seen him since the wedding, he has a fun time in London but I think he enjoyed being home

I am out to lunch with my bowling friends, yet more food. Trefoil Guild this evening, we are having a talk by a representative from Roald Dahl's Marvellous Childrens Charity. He used to live and wrote lots of his books in a village near here. There is a museum in the village, very popular with families.
I am getting very fed up with asking for lifts. Had a look at renting a car, as you would expect it is very expensive.

Have a lovely day enjoying this lovely weather folks.

Ladies I am a very happy bunny today, had a chat with SIL and my DD is making great strides. They are with the psychologist this morning from the rehab unit, assessing her future needs. T expressed her concern about drinking her allowance of 2 litres per day and remembering to take the all important desmopreson, they are hoping to teach her techniques for managing these and integrating back into family life. Rehab may only be for a week πŸ˜€. SIL, his Aunt and the girls took her to Brixham for the day yesterday, she relished being out and enjoyed her day and her fish and chips. SIL said it was like 95% of having the old T back only got muddled a few times but due to tiredness more than anything after their outing. I am fully aware there is a way to go, but looking back to how very poorly she was we never dreamt she would ever recover so well. C has the chance of work with flexi time, and they have accepted an offer on their home in Poole, please God all this positivity continues. I know 2 little girls who will be elated to have Mum home. Have a great day all.

Wow and Wow Elaine , such positive news ,
Getting her home will be a massive step and if they can learn her good techniques to remember her medication and drinking all the better ,
One more step to a normal family life .
So pleased for them all xxxx

Oma, time for you is definitely what you deserve

Libra, how lovely to read the positive news about your DD!

Enjoy the lunch Plant! I can imagine how hard it is not having a car when you are used to being self sufficient.

I bought a bag for OH, plus a couple of other little things, and a few things for me from Boots, and a mooch around Poundland.
Quick lunch now, hang out the washing, and over to mums. I will be out until after 7, so hopefully catch up again tonight.

Do you all recall , a few weeks ago, how we spent h-o-u-r-s threading a new washing line on the rotary airier only for it to break completely and I had to buy a new one ? Previously to that my iron caught fire and I had to buy a new iron , well now its the flipping washing machine.
I noticed the other day it was making a noise when it went into a spin and the noise has gradually worse.
The bearings are 'going' and years ago it was possible to replace bearings but that is no longer so , are now welded on to the drum.
The only option left to me is to let it limp along the noise getting increasing worse until it grinds to a holt ,I have had this happen on a washing machine before and the noise really is unbearable , pay someone to come and look at it only to confirm what we already know or go and buy a new one. I tell you wash day is proving to be rather expensive here at the moment

Mimi, i don't think you are meant to be doing any laundry.

Hubby said we are not gardening today,it's too warm.
So, i thought i will clean bedroom window frames and poles, and change the curtains.
Did our bedroom,it's the one with the largest window.
After ihad ironed the curtains and cleaned frames, poles and glass, i was shateered.
I'm afraid the other 2 bedrooms look like waiting until tomorrow.

I think it's cooling down a bit now.
Nextdoor neighbour says there are severe thunderstorm coming for our area.

libra, what brilliant news.So pleased for all the family.
