Sorry I haven't been on much today, busy afternoon, I had a hearing test and looked in a shop near there to see if they had anything for the wedding, now sent for a jacket from Artigiano, hate paying the postage. We are all getting ready to meet the female family and friends for a meal in Marlow, then the younger female friend are taking the future bride away for a spa night.

Hope the poorly ones are now all better.

Have a lovely time with the family Libra with your DD and family.

Hello everybody! The Daisy household is safely back home! I'll write later about it in my Journal, but thank you all for good wishes, safe journeys etc.

Oma - it must be quite a coincidence that the house is back in your family again. We moved into our current house just over 20 years ago. We only lived round the corner but downsized early. We'd sold our old house and were struggling to find another one, especially since we wanted to stay in the village if possible. We'd been to see one nearby which was very dark and rather depressing and I range the estate agent to say it was a no-no, and asked him if any more were on the market in this road. Yes, he said, No xx, but we've only had instructions today and haven't done details yet. 'We'll have it" I said! Definitely. Don't advertise it. It must have been his easiest sale ever, but it used to belong to some good friends and we knew the house well although it had been rented out by the next owners for several years.. When we finally met the then current owner - that was also someone we knew.

Gem, I'm glad you've had a nice day. Sometimes much as you love all your GCs, it's good to have an easier day.

LG - safe journey - and make the most of every minute. xx

Plant - I hope the jacket is just what you're looking for. Enjoy your meal . OH is much better - but the 3 mile round walk to the pub wore him out, despite having a restorative pint!

All this talk of fish and chips is making me hungry. I'd better go and get dinner. OH is eating out tonight so I'll just have something light and easy - garlic mushrooms on toast, I think.

I didn’t grow up in a house, well I don’t mean I didn’t live in a house or anything like that but we moved so much because of my dad’s army career that the first settled place we lived in was in Bath when I was 12. I left home at 15 so haven’t really got a history with a house.

I was born born in my grandparents house in Twickenham which is now two flats (very expensive ones darlings as it is in what is is the posh bit but most certainly were not either when I was born or when I lived in a flat in the same road in 1974/75). I have always wanted to find the courage to ask if I can look around but have not done it so far.

I went to lunch today with the manager I had when I was seconded. We had a good chin wag and it was nice to get out of the house. There was a diner in there who was so rude to the staff. Ot sure what started it but at one point he said “with all due respect the service that waitress gives if f8cking awful, she is f8cking useless”. How is that all due respect especially as he said it in ring of her and then blew up because she ran off in tears. He insisted she was brought back to apologise to him but thankfully the manager refused and told him that she would waive the entire bill. He insisted on anothe glass of wine on the house and then complained it was not full to the top! Well these restaurants do not fill to the top do they? They measure and charge for the volume. Anyway apart from being so horrible he also kept loudly and snottily sniffing which was disgusting.

Anyway apart from that it has been absolute taters here. Soooo cold. I got the bus to the tube station reasoning that £12 parking was an unnecessary expense against £1.05 on the Oyster card. Trouble is I just missed the bus on the way back and that bus terminus is like a flipping wind tunnel.

My colleagues have started a closed FB Page for support, and we are all perplexed as to how all of the rubbish happened with the company. Everyone is being given different information so it is good to be able to share and look after each other.

I only have to drive approximately 5 minutes to see my childhood home, in fact I was born there. It was a mid terrace my parents rented privately, when they moved into sheltered accomodation as in a ground floor flat. The house was then sold. Would love to see what they have done to it,it needed a lot of modernisation.

Qwerty - I didn't exactly have time to myself. I had both GSs and two dogs and a cat!!! But, yes he isn't 100% but is much better -even after the 3 mile walk!

Zizi - I hope that obnoxious man got indigestion, and I hope somebody told that poor waitress that what he said about her was a reflection of his ignorance not her work!

It's good that a group of you are getting together online and supporting each other. It will help. xx

The first house where I was born, (terraced) was knocked down & a bungalow built in it's place. The second house was demolished. The third house was demolished & is now a supermarket car park. The fourth was where I lived from 12-18yrs & mum ended her days. 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th I have no idea about. The 11th is where we live now. Think that's all of them. 😂

I need to be asleep as we have our 3+yr GS & 1yr old GD in 9hrs for a sleepover.🤤😲

Oma, what a nuisance about the alarm waking you up.
Hope you manage to get it reset.

It's a bit frosty here this morning.

Good Saturday morning, Nanto and everyone.

Nana - I hope you got some sleep!

Oma - itn't it always the way! Treat yourself to a nana nap later. The weather's probably too cold and miserable to go out anywhere, so I nice cosy, lazy day indoors is what you need.

We've had a frost overnight and it's cold, grey and miserable. I must get a move on and get dressed to go and feed the neighbour's cats. Then I think there are a few loads of washing waiting for me!

Nanto - wrap up warm for your shopping.

                                Good morning ladies.

A wet one here. I hope it stops as we have to go out to deliver the LibDem leaflets that I volunteered to do last year. We have had them well over a week but with us both been under the weather, and the weather itself often been too nasty to want to walk round, they are still here!
Apart from that and a small amount of shopping, today is a free one.
Last nights quiz was fun, much better than the boring and over difficult one last month!

I hope Plant had a good meal last night, and that Mr Enfys is doing OK Sorry about the disturbed nights Nana and Oma,

My laptop is flashing at me and about to die, so apologies to anyone I haven't mentioned. When I get up I will plug it in!

                                Have a good Saturday.
